The Rainbow Lounge is a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who are looking to connect with others in the community while learning about the work of Gay For Good-Rocky Mountains, AspenOUT and other LGBTQAI+ resources in the valley. The Rainbow Lounge will feature children’s activities as well as a bilingual Drag Queen story time on Saturday at 1pm.

The Confluents are the Roaring Fork Valley’s premiere funk band. This six-piece mixture of driving pocket rhythms, fat bass, hot brassy licks and infectious wah wah guitar is a guaranteed high-energy performance. The Confluents play a wide range of funk, soul and reggae music, a local favorite!

O 6:00PM ROCK AND ROLL ACADEMY

Rock and Roll Academy Roaring Fork is dedicated to providing and protecting a place where young musicians can learn, explore and flourish. The band SALT will be performing original music these advanced students created together. Come and experience the new sounds of the next generation of rockers!

G 7:45PM MOON HOOCH

Moon Hooch began busking in the subway platforms of NYC in 2010, quickly getting noticed by the NYPD, who had to ban them from locations that couldn’t handle the crowds. In a few short years they were opening for the likes of Beats Antique, They Might Be Giants, and Lotus, while selling out their own headline shows at marquee venues around the United States and Europe.

The Sacred Fire

Get ready to ignite the spirit with a beloved Mountain Fair tradition featuring Dance of the Sacred Fire and Mt. Cirque Entertainment’s electrifying fusion of fire and air. When the sun sets and the stars shine, the air will be filled with an energy that crackles with excitement.

This mesmerizing dance of flames will intertwine with gravity-defying acrobatics, as the performers showcase their incredible skill and agility.

C 8:30AM FOUR-MILE FAIR RUN

Independence Run & Hike hosts this downhill fun run on Prince Creek Road to the finish line in the Open

Space at Sopris Park. Meet at Sopris Park at 8:30am to catch a shuttle to the start line for a 9:00 am start. Families, strollers, and pets are encouraged. Dress to win the costume contest with the theme of “Where the Wild Things Are.” Registration can be found at Independence Run & Hike or online active.com.

Bring your own mat and a water bottle and meet in the new location in the Oasis for more shade!

Students of Crystal River Ballet School and dancers of Crystal River Youth Ballet Company present the Little Mermaid Ballet. Based on the Hans Christian Anderson tale. Dancers will explore the depths of the ocean and shore above. Crystal River Ballet offers classes in classical and contemporary dance for ages 3 to adult at The Launchpad in Carbondale. New this year is the Crystal River Youth Ballet Company, a non-profit dance company for engaging and training future dance professionals.

Take a pause from the frenetic fair and be nourished with an interactive program of gentle movement and music especially for young children, ages 1 - 4, and their accompanying adults. After a bit of dancing, and lots of singing, enjoy a simple puppet play inspired by the three mothers: Mother Nature, All the hard-working Mothers and Mother Goose.

Sopris Soarers will evoke and represent the power, grace and agility of the wild creatures we share our backyards with, as a mesmerizing aerial expose.

Bring entries to the Judging Canopy, located next to the Rainbow Lounge between 10:30 and 10:45AM. This year’s theme is, “Your WILD best,” and categories include fruit, cream and exotic.

OS 11:30AM TUG-O-WAR WITH CARBONDALE POLICE VS CARBONDALE EMS/FIRE

Place your bets on the Carbondale Fire Department or the Carbondale Police and the winner takes all to donate to their favorite charity. This year Carbondale Fire’s winning proceeds might go to the Advocate Safehouse… or will the Carbondale Police Department’s chosen charity, River Bridge Child Regional Center? Make your bets at the Info Booth and join hosts Kitty Kat Rich and Strongman Luis Yllanes to find out!

Beyond Beyond is intent on harnessing Melody as Mantra. A quartet focused on the harmony that brings us closer together. Composed of pedal steel guitar, acoustic guitar, octave mandolin, upright bass & electric guitars.

Hosted by Ramona Chingona and Thelma Thunderthighs.

Aspen Polynesian dancers and drummers share their energetic moves and lively sounds in an upbeat performance transporting us to the exotic island of Tahiti.

OS 1:00PM ADULT LIMBO CONTEST

How low can you go? The height to beat is 1’4”! Join Dr. Limbo, Eric Baumheier and live drummers for some friendly competition. Must be 18 years or older to participate. Located in the Open Space.

G 2:00PM DUSTIN ELLIOT AND THE BROKEN RADIO

Dustin Elliott and The Broken Radio are influenced by greats such as Waylon and Hank, and the modern sounds of Sturgill and Charley Crockett, all seen through the eyes of a one-time kid playing punk rock. Joining Dustin, is a ragtag cast of characters featuring Robbie Eugene Smuts, Cody Isaman, Chris Heinz, Pete Durrance and Patrick David Dechant.

O 2:30PM ROARING FORK YOUTH ORCHESTRA

From Bach to Bluegrass: a genre-surfing performance by the Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra’s Sidewalk Strings and Summer Music program students.

O 2:30PM FLOWER POWER WITH THE WALDORF SCHOOL ON THE ROARING FORK

Come join your friends from the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork to make a crown of flowers to adorn your beautiful self using some simple tools and the gifts of mother nature. No charge, but please spread the love by passing on the generosity to someone this weekend in some small way. Perhaps “crown” a stranger!?

O 4:00PM HIP HOP FOR FAMILIES WITH MR. KNEEL

Mr Kneel: Hip Hop for Families! Mr Kneel uses beatboxing and rhymes to share his love of old-school Hip Hop with lots of laughs and interaction.
