Turning ordinary walks into magical adventures

WANDERFUL turns walks into adventures through augmented reality trail experiences. Founded by Lena Angland, the aim of the business is to use technology to get children to go outside, become more active and learn more about the world around them. Wanderful wants to use a child’s sense of wonder to enhance learning through interactive experiences, increase mobility through lessons that require activity, and get everyone outside and enjoying the outdoors!

Through this digital orienteering solution, they have created a tourism experience that helps family-focused venues boost revenues by turning their grounds into Adventure Playgrounds, powered by Augmented Reality.

They currently have three venues across West Cork that host the experiences; Dromkeen Woods, Innishannon, West Cork Secret, Kilbrittain and Inish Beg Estate in Skibbereen.

They also built a bespoke experience for Kerry County Council, Kerry Tourism and the National Parks that launched in the National Park this summer and in the first few weeks there were over 800 users with many repeat visits. Kerry County Council and Kerry Tourism are now working with Wanderful to roll out further experiences and they also nominated the business for

They also spoke at an international AI for tourism conference.

They have off the shelf expe- commuters and St Patrick’s Quay for connections to Dublin, Limerick and Waterford via Aircoach, Go Bus, City Link and Dublin Coach.
