Andy Kerr

Chair of the Board of Governors On behalf of all staff and the Board of Governors at South Lanarkshire College I would like to warmly congratulate all our 2021 graduates. Graduation is a celebration of your success, a chance to reflect on the past year at our college, all that you have achieved and the family and friends that have helped you on your journey. I know that many of you have now moved on to higher level courses at college or university, with others progressing to employment or training. It makes myself and our Board feel very proud to see the successful journey of our graduands and what you go on to achieve. I am also very proud of all our staff who have supported you to achieve your qualifications. From your lecturers who have adapted to the pandemic to ensure they pass their knowledge and skills on to you, our Student Services Teams who have remained ever positive in support of students, our Student Association for their honest and open representation of the students, our Facilities and Estates Teams who kept the campus safe and clean. And our College Management Team, HR, ICT, Finance and Funding Teams who make sure our college runs as efficiently and effectively as possible to give you the best possible experience whilst studying with us. I wish you all the very best as you embark on what will no doubt be a very successful and happy future. Well done!

Aileen McKechnie Principal

Graduation is one of the highlights of our college calendar – a chance for all of us to celebrate the success, hard-work and dedication of you, our students. I am so proud of you all for everything that you have achieved whilst studying with us. The past 12 months were extremely difficult for everyone. But despite the global pandemic, despite the public health and economic challenges that we all faced, you’ve all still managed to successfully complete your studies with us here at South Lanarkshire College. You should all be extremely proud – I’m sure your family and friends will be! I know that the past year was not what you anticipated in terms of your studies with us, but I wanted to thank you all for sticking with your course, never giving up and achieving your ambitions. Your success really will inspire others to achieve their full potential. Well done! Enjoy your special day and I wish you all the very best as you go out to make your mark on the world.
