Jack Miner Sanctuary and St. Clair College students partner for game dinner, raffles

KINGSVILLE — The Jack Miner Foundation and the St. Clair students are teaming up to celebrate the successful life of Mr. Jack Miner and embracing his contribution towards the rescue of the Canada Goose. The event is going to be a dinner night with a raffle where the prizes will be donated by the local vendors.

It’s a two-day event with the first day being a virtual event on Facebook — a virtual raffle that will be conducted on April 9 at 3:00 pm.

The raffle will be ticket based and the winners will be decided randomly through a draw and will be given one of the several raffle baskets.

The event will roll out with a speech dedicated to Jack Miner, followed by the virtual raffle.

The second day is the curbside dinner that is on April 10 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The event will take place at the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary, 332 Road 3 West in Kingsville.

The menu for the dinner is available on the event’s website, and will include water buffalo meatballs, pheasant stir fry, venison sausage with peppers and other delicious items.

The dinner will take place with some mellow live music, starting at 5:00 pm until about 8:00 pm.

COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed strictly, and social distancing will be strongly implemented.

The price of the ticket is set at $30 per person and people who win the virtual raffle will get their raffle basket on dinner night.

Tickets are now available at the Sanctuary itself, or at Back in Motion Chiropractic Clinic, 22 Heritage Rd, Kingsville, and on the event website.
