Rally at Family Kitchen

LEAMINGTON — What started as a local restaurateur’s wish to open her doors for indoor dining, turned into a rally for those feeling oppressed by the Ontario government’s recent shutdown measures.

About 200 people gathered in front of Family Kitchen Restaurant and the Leamington CIBC on Tuesday morning. News of the Family Kitchen staying open for indoor dining broke on social media on Easter Monday and the rally gained momentum overnight into Tuesday.

Many travelled from outside of Leamington to attend and show their solidarity against health guidelines.
