Las dimensiones, los acabados, todo apunta a un nivel superior, pero hay algo que la hace destacar por encima del resto: el posicionamiento que tiene sobre la bahía de Altea, justo encima del puerto deportivo Marina Greenwich y orientado hacia el sur. Esto contribuye a que se obtengan unas vistas de excepción. No hay en Europa unas vistas semejantes. Había que potenciar esta ventaja, por lo que los ventanales se han diseñado lo más amplios posibles. En este mismo sentido, en lugar de construir de manera transversal a la costa, se ha hecho siguiendo la línea del mar, paralelamente, aprovechando el espacio todo lo que ha sido posible. De esta forma el escaparate hacia este espléndido escenario es enorme. En verano, gracias a un complejo sistema de voladizos, así como al posicionamiento y al diseño de los exteriores, se consigue que el sol no incida directamente sobre el cristal de los ventanales, sino que quede a centímetros de éste, pero cuando la temperatura es más baja, en invierno, el posicionamiento de estos sistemas externos permite que el sol acceda al interior de la vivienda y la caliente de manera natural. Todo está diseñado para que la vivienda saque el mayor partido del entorno en el que se ha levantado.

This project responds to a market need that demanded a luxury product that does not exist. Dimensions, finishes, everything points to a higher level, but there is something that makes it stand above the rest: the positioning it has with regards to the bay of Altea, just above the Marina Greenwich and south-facing. This helps to obtain exceptional views. There are no similar views in Europe. Using this advantage, the windows are designed as ample as possible. In this sense, instead of constructing transversal to the coast, the sea line has been followed, in parallel, taking advantage of all the space possible. Due to this, the display of this splendid setting is enormous. In summer, thanks to a complex system of beams, as well as the positioning and exterior design, the sun does not shine directly on the glass of the windows, but it is within inches of it, but when the temperature is lower in winter, the positioning of these external systems allows the sun to reach inside of the house and naturally warm it. Everything is designed so that the home gets the most out of the environment from which it has been built.

Данный проект был инициирован в ответ на запрос рынка, который требовал создать недвижимость класса люкс, подобной которой не существовало в регионе. Изначально все – габариты виллы, качество постройки и интерьера – указывало на то, что это будет недвижимость самого высокого уровня, но есть нечто, что выделяло ее на фоне остального жилья этого класса: ее месторасположение на берегу залива Альтеа, чуть выше пристани для яхт Marina Greenwich и ее виды на южную сторону. Было бы неразумно не использовать максимально это ее преимущество, поэтому окна виллы были спроектированы так, чтобы быть как можно более широкими. Поэтому, вместо поперечного к побережью дизайна, за основу были взяты естественные линии берега моря, которые занимают все возможное пространство. Летом, благодаря сложной системе игры света и тени, а также расположения и внешнего дизайна окон, достигнут эффект непрямого попадания солнечных лучей. Таким образом, солнце не светит прямо на стекла – вместо этого его лучи проходят в нескольких дюймах от окон, не перегревая помещения, но, когда зимой температура падает ниже, свойства оконных систем позволяют солнцу проникать внутрь дома, принося желанное тепло.

She arrived in Altea just over twelve years ago coming from a chemical company and could not help but falling in love with the area and its people. Por este motivo hemos visitado el Colegio Imperial de Niños Huérfanos de San Vicente Ferrer.

Allí nos recibe Jose Ignacio Llópez, el clavario director del Colegio. Hablamos del sentido de este colegio, de su función y de sus objetivos. En la Europa de la Edad Media, los huérfanos eran niños que se veían abocados al abandono, a la marginación y a la no integración en la sociedad. Ofrecer una formación a estos menores para posibilitar su recuperación social fue el objeto que movió al Colegio desde sus orígenes. Desgraciadamente es muy común que un niño pierda a sus padres y un familiar mayor, su abuela, su tía..., se haga cargo de él. La imposibilidad de proporcionarle una adecuada educación y manutención, por motivos económicos sobre todo, podría terminar con el menor en un centro de acogida, lo que le alejaría demasiado de un ambiente

LA PRIMERA MALETA IMPERDIBLE Rimowa, ﬁrma diseñadora de maletas, y el fabricante de aviones Airbus están a punto de hacer realidad el sueño de muchos viajeros: una maleta que no se pierde. El prototipo se llama Bag2go y se presentó en el 50 Salón Aeronáutico Internacional de París. Los datos conﬁrman que por 1.000 pasajeros desaparecen 11 piezas de equipaje. Esta maleta incorpora un localizador por satélite y una pantalla. Con la ayuda de una aplicación descargada en un smartphone, el pasajero envía a la aerolínea los detalles de su itinerario y ésta le responde con un código de barras que aparece en la pantalla de la maleta. Y ya está activada para decirle a su dueño y a la aerolínea dónde está exactamente en todo momento con tan sólo presionar un botón. La app también registra si una maleta se abrió durante el viaje e informa al propietario dónde y cuándo ocurrió.

RELOJES INTELIGENTES Sony ha presentado la segunda versión de su reloj inteligente, el Smartwatch 2, capaz de enlazar con el teléfono móvil mediante Bluetooth. Cuenta con una pantalla táctil de 1,6 pulgadas, una batería con capacidad para cuatro días de uso continuo y es sumergible hasta un metro de profundidad. No hay precio oficial de momento, pero estará disponible en septiembre. La idea es que el reloj funcione como segunda pantalla del móvil, mostrando los mensajes, los correos o las citas, evitando tener que sacar el móvil del bolso o bolsillo. Sony has introduced the second version of its Smart Watch, the Smartwatch 2, able to link to the mobile phone via Bluetooth. It has a 1.6-inch touch-screen, a battery for up to four days of continuous use and is waterproof up to one meter deep. There is no official price at the moment, but will be available in September. The idea is that the watch works as a second mobile screen showing messages, emails or appointments, avoiding having to take your mobile out of your bag or pocket. BALDOSAS QUE GENERAN ELECTRICIDAD La estación de Victoria, en Londres, inspiró a Laurence Kemball-Cook para idear una revolución en la iluminación urbana. Más de 15.000 personas recorriendo aquellos pasillos cada hora debían suponer algún tipo de ventaja. A partir de aquello comenzó a germinar Pavegen. Cuatro años después la baldosa inteligente está lista. Básicamente, consiste en aprovechar la energía generada cuando alguien la pisa y la hunde apenas cinco milímetros, lo que genera ocho vatios de energía. El investigador asegura que en pocos años se podrán iluminar las calles a nuestro paso o lograr que un estadio de fútbol sea autosuﬁciente. Las pruebas del sistema se han llevado a cabo hasta ahora en la maratón de París. Esta tecnología basada en aprovechar la energía cinética estará también presente en los coches eléctricos, en los que el rodamiento de los neumáticos se convertirá con el tiempo en un generador de energía.

Дизайнер утверждает, что через несколько лет он сможет таким образом освещать целые улицы или генерировать достаточно энергии для работы футбольного стадиона. Испытания системы были проведены во время парижского марафона и во время Часа Земли в этом году, в течение которого более чем 40 «умных» напольных плиток освещали крупнейшую плавучую сцену в заливе Marina Bay в Сингапуре. Система также была установлена временно на станции Вест Хэм в Лондоне. LAS HORMIGAS MEJORAN LAS SALIDAS DE EMERGENCIA El investigador Majid Sarvi, de la Universidad de Monash, en Australia, ha publicado un curioso estudio que ayudará a mejorar el diseño de las salidas de emergencia. Y se ha basado en las respuestas de la citronella, una hormiga que huye con facilidad cuando se la encierra. Así, Sarvi ha comprobado que los diseños utilizados por estos insectos eran los que poseían salidas en las esquinas, y no los que las tienen en el centro de las paredes, ya que éstos tienden a atascarse, creando ﬂujos confusos en los desalojos. Gracias a estos estudios se ha comprobado que los tiempos de evacuación en situaciones de emergencia se pueden reducir en un 160 por cien.
