Hay una pretensión por parte de Altea Hills de una búsqueda de la excelencia, de lo exclusivo, y creo que esto se ha desvirtuado, aún no se han alcanzado las cotas que la zona merece. Altea Hills lo tiene todo. ¿Cuál es la filosofía de A-cero y cómo encaja en la zona? Nosotros pretendemos, a través de todo nuestro trabajo, desde el diseño de una cucharilla hasta el de una urbanización, la búsqueda de la excelencia, de la máxima calidad en todos sus parámetros. La arquitectura es algo que ayuda en esto, forma paisajes, pero lleva consigo una gran responsabilidad con respecto al entorno en el que se encuadra. En este sentido, diseñamos ediﬁcios que se ajustan visualmente al entorno, al 8

No diseñamos en función de una parcela abstracta, sino que sabemos

Por ejemplo, la luz y el sol son elementos esenciales, la topografía es muy marcada y la presencia y proximidad del mar resultan elementos determinantes. A partir de ahí, ha habido un programa muy bien detallado por parte de la propiedad en los 4 casos, algo que es fundamental. Al ﬁnal, hemos ido dando forma a un puzzle donde lo más complicado han sido los accesos, sobre todo en las parcelas en las que nos hemos encontrado con dos posibilidades, entrar a la vivienda por arriba o por abajo de la parcela. Esto lo cuidamos porque creemos que los accesos son fundamentales en el conjunto de una 10

Se trata de elaborar formas escultóricas, volúmenes atractivos, conseguir que la arquitectura esté muy adaptada al terreno. Con respecto a esos elementos, Rafael Llamazares y yo tenemos tal sinergia, nuestro mundo estético ha ido formándose de manera tan paralela, que lo hemos ido construyendo a la par. Todos estos elementos orgánicos, ángulos, quiebros, voladizos, van

Por eso hemos querido “enmarcar” esa belleza con los elementos escogidos. ¿Cuál es el objetivo de A-Cero cuando trabajan en un proyecto? El objetivo es conseguir siempre viviendas únicas, pero muy confortables a la hora de vivir en ellas. Siempre 12

Una casa es algo muy especial, su diseño es muy exigente, pero 4, y todas ellas en el marco de Altea Hills, se presentaron como un reto muy exigente y a la vez sumamente interesante. Me parece un enorme acierto por parte de Spainville haber querido crear 4 proyectos totalmente diferentes. Lo fácil hubiera sido elaborar un modelo para las 4 viviendas, pero haber querido diferenciarlas es un acierto enorme. Es querer otorgar la máxima exclusividad a cada casa. Esa exclusividad marca la diferencia. 14

Vivir entre texturas Concha García de Pablos es una artista en el más amplio sentido que puede llegar a alcanzar esa palabra. Recuerda que cuando era una niña le encantaba hacer mosaicos con todo lo que caía en sus manos. Por aquel entonces fue cuando descubrió a El Bosco y la obra que le marcaría de por vida: El Jardín de las Delicias.

Concha ha investigado de manera autodidacta encáustica y la ha desarrollado, ha ido más allá añadiendo al proceso materiales como tejidos o tierras, que enriquecen la encáustica tradicional y ofrecen como resultado un procedimiento único que se ha convertido en su sello personal, aunque no ha dejado de lado otras técnicas pictóricas.

Concha García de Pablos is an artist in the broadest sense of the word. She remembers that, as a child, she loved making mosaics with everything that she came across. Esta licenciada en Bellas Artes residente en Altea ha expuesto en lugares como Nueva York, Londres, Alemania, Amsterdam y, por supuesto, España. Después se arrepintió y decidió llenar una cesta con regalos para el pequeño Jesús, pero como no sabía leer las estrellas, Babushka se perdió. La leyenda asegura que la anciana, cada navidad, sigue buscando al niño Jesús, y como no puede encontrarlo, reparte los regalos que lleva en su cesta a los niños que se han portado bien durante ese año.
