I arrived into the Male Airport, from Australia via Singapore to Male. Male is the Gateway to the Maldives and The World’s Most Luxurious Spa Islands Resorts. I was so excited to finally be here as I absolutely love visiting the Maldives. It had always been my dream to visit, write, review and share Luxury Spa Resorts in the Maldives. So here I was actually doing it on my Birthday weekend and also on our Spa it Girl Day community celebration.
After taking a moment to reflect on how grateful and blessed I was to be making my own dreams happen. I grabbed my AWAY Travel bag and I headed straight out of the Male Airport sliding doors and then straight over to the No.5 Desk which is in the same transit hall From their I checked in for my transfer to Kandolhu Island Maldives and I was then taken around the corner to check in for my Seaplane as that is how I would be getting to Kandolhu Island which I was so excited about also.

After checking my AWAY Travel Bag in I was then ushered to a Air-Conditioned Bus which would take us to the Kandolhu Island Departure Lounge.
When I opened the door to the Kandolhu Departure Lounge I was greeted by fresh white interior design of white comfy lounge chairs, white tiled floors and walls and Every step of the way off of the check whilst the girl once said they use to in staff were great and I felt totally safe have water views from their sliding turning up on my own to the Male doors at the moment Airport. I was observing everything that was right in front of me like the beautiful turquoise water, blue skies, people riding on scoter’s, people doing construction work, people walking around, seaplanes flying in the air, Speed Boats in the water it really did have this Island Transfer feel to it.
Because when you are offered complimentary WIFI, drinks and nibbles it really does help to pass the time.
It was only a short bus ride to the Seaplane Waiting Lounge for Kandolhu Island and the bus took us right to the front entrance of the building and door.
I was captivated by looking at the TV Screen that showed the Islands that we were all waiting to be transferred to.
From there a girl quickly asked what Island are you going to and as soon as I said Kandolhu she directed me to the right and then up one floor then reassured me I would then see the name Kandolhu right beside the door.
It was so amazing to think that soon I would be travelling to Kandolhu Island in the Maldives.
I walked up one flight of stairs to later find that you could actually take a lift however it was nice to walk after sitting down for so long on the plane.
I found the departure lounge waiting area to be a lovely space and place to wait.
Then staying in an Ocean Pool Villa and also visiting their Spa to be a #Spaitgirl whilst staying there.
A Transfer to Kandolhu Island From Male Airport is a very straight forward check in process I felt totally safe at all times

I waited about an 1 and a half hours due to my incoming flight. However now was the time to jump on the shuttle bus and we were then transported to the Seaplane Terminal Jetty Area.
I have to admit that I am not a fan of small-enclosed spaces, however I loved every minute of travelling in the Seaplane and it was one travel experience I will never forget.
Seeing all of the Seaplanes parked up to the platforms was very exciting.
I didn’t at once feel unsafe or uncomfortable on the seaplane and looking at the natural beauty of mother earth and admiring the Indian Ocean and the Maldives conquered any of my fears.
Naturally I couldn't help myself to capture some video footage of this which you can see on my instagram page @Spaitgirl I was lucky enough to get a window seat so from that seat I would be able to see. I was truly in the present moment when the Seaplane started up and I noticed of course the Pilot's too checking their paper work and get ready for our trip. I felt when we took off from the Jetty it was just like being in a boat and it was actually very cool watching the propellers going around and hearing the noise. We travelled a little bit on the water and then next minute we took off and started going up in the air. I had the biggest smile on my face ear to ear and I felt so alive and happy to be here. It was so beautiful looking outside the window as all i could see was the beautiful colour of the water turquoise and the different shades of blue the Indian Ocean and the Maldives Islands and resorts that I could see was so beautiful. I truly felt that travelling to Kandolhu in a Seaplane was the best way travel indeed. Travelling on the Seaplane from Male to Kandolhu Island I felt totally safe.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel actually landing on the water as I am not the strongest swimmer at the best of times. However it was fine one of the smoothest landings ever and way more smoother than any landing in a plane at the Airport that's for sure. One thing I loved about travelling in the seaplane apart from the amazing views was how we went from being on the water to high in the sky to back down on the water again it was really cool. The Seaplane pulled up to this platoon which felt like it was in the middle of the Indian Ocean and from there I got out and then there was a speed boat awaiting us on the other side of the floating platoon that would take to Kandolhu. The staff on board the Speedboat to Kandolhu were all smiling away. They were awaiting our arrival but at the same time saying their goodbye's to all of the guest who were leaving Kandolhu. I couldn’t help notice how happy everyone looked on the speedboat all I could hear was it's so lovely here we don't want to leave, do we really need to go home and with that they all got out of the speedboat.
I made my way up and into the Speed Boat and took a seat. I was greeted with a warm hand towel and a complimentary bottle of water also and a friendly staff member chat. The staff on board were all a complete utter Joy, so happy, friendly and they made me feel very welcomed. I was so grateful and blessed because on our boat trip to Kandolhu I actually got to see for the very first time ever Dolphins swimming in the Indian Ocean and they looked so Happy that they were jumping out of the water also doing little tricks which was so cool. When I looked at the front of the Speedboat all I could see was dolphins jumping in and out of the water it was so surreal. When I arrived to Kandolhu to their main jetty it was so exciting as I was meeting up with one of my Spa it Girl Contributor's and also Laura the Assistant Manager and their Wonderful Staff too. It was so cool to finally be at Kandolhu in REAL LIFE and when I got out of the speedboat I was offered a refreshing welcome drink that had this pretty little purple orchid flower and palm tree leaf wrapped around the glass. After receiving a lovely introduction to Kandolhu Island I was taken to my Ocean Pool Villa and I have to say every step along the way I was in awe of this beautiful place it was definitely way better being here in REAL LIFE then what I had ever seen from photos posted on their instagram account @Kandolhu

Kandolhu Island Maldives
Kandolhu Island is located 70 kilometres south west of Male’ in North Ari Atoll and it was only a 25 minutes by seaplane. Kandolhu only has 30 villas that perfectly combine natural elements of the Maldives with modern architecture and creature comforts, it's like being on your own private Island. Kandolhu offers 24-hour reception with a small library a Gym, Complimentary Wi-Fi, a Boutique, Laundry service, Foreign currency exchange, Multilingual team members, twice daily housekeeping services.

Kandolhu is an Ocean Lovers Dream Turn Reality Kandolhu have 7 Ocean Villas in total and they are 90 sqm and are all Facing the sunset, When you stay in one of their Ocean Pool Villas you truly have the best Maldives Ocean Views and it's important to take your photos on sunrise to capture the high tide as I found during my stay that on sunset it was low tide so you could see outwards the coral or bottom of the sea in parts which I think is more for Instagram Travel Bloggers to note when visiting more than anything.. You reach the Ocean Pool Villa with your own private walkway and inside it has an oversized bedroom with king bed, day bed and walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom of these villas are open and airy with shower, twin vanity and a bathtub, and features a sliding door which opens up to the outdoors deck. The expansive and completely private deck includes sun loungers, sun umbrella and a plunge pool (7 sqm) and infinite views of the Indian Ocean. The Ocean Pool Villas can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults.

Be a Spa it Girl at Kandolhu Island Maldives
Things I loved when staying at Kandolhu Island in the Maldives EVERYTHING but in more detail if you are interested here goes: I loved walking on the walkway to my Ocean Pool Villa were I was staying. I loved seeing the white sandy beach, crystal clear water and the tropical fish and marine life I loved how excited I felt by staying at Kandolhu in an Ocean Pool Villa and when I opened the door I was greeted at the entrance with a bench that was home to the mini bar area and tea, coffee maker,I loved seeing the fresh water as it looked so clean. When I walked in to the Ocean Pool Villa it had this big high ceilings and a master bedroom that also had a separate day bed in it, plus a small side office style table and two perfectly sat chairs with another side table to put a drink on. When I looked out of the Byfold sliding glass window's all I could see was the beautiful pool awaiting me and the crystal clear turquoise water not to mention one very dreamy white, bright and light overwater bathroom with a big white stand alone bathtub. Outside on the Ocean Pool Villa deck they had sun lounge chairs a nice shady umbrella and the colour of the Indian Ocean Water was so mesmerising and so feel good I honestly couldn't stop looking at it I was in love yes and in awe. I truly felt like I was living in Paradise and my world and this world had just got a whole lot more prettier. It was just so beautiful in my Ocean Pool Villa that I think it no matter how many photos or videos I tried to capture it’s not until you visit here in REAL Life that you truly get to experience and appreciate the sheer natural beauty of mother earth and Kandolhu fully.
I loved going for a swim off the back of my Ocean Pool Villa and swimming in the Indian Ocean was so beautiful, refreshing, feel good, nurturing, therapetic, it was like having a cleansing soul bath the re-energises your body, mind and spirit and it definitely filled my own cup back up instantly. I felt that all of my worries got washed away and that was all thanks to swimming in the Indian Ocean at Kandolhu. Every time I swam I felt fully present and yes in the absolute moment it was the most glorious feeling ever. I couldn't help myself by celebrating my arrival by popping open a bottle of Moet Chandon Champagne/ It was so lovely having a glass of champagne on sunset in the infinity pool which was right there on my ocean villa wooden deck I loved watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean and once again i practiced gratitude for being able to experience this very special moment and to also share it personally with you too. Every time I looked at the beautiful bathroom which is right beside the infinity swimming pool I was in love with their very cute vanity basins and how everything in the bath room was white, light and bright. It had a very high ceiling in the bathroom and glass walls too. I also like how you could open the glass sliding doors too which allowed the natural fresh sea air and breeze in also it was such a beautiful bath setting. It was so nice walking around on the back of my Kandolhu ocean pool villa deck and during my stay I didn't actually really notice any other guests when I was hanging out in this area.

As this was my first time having this Spa Treatment at Kandolhu Spa I was super excited to be experiencing this kind of massage for the very first time. The VOYAgers Total Massage Journey is a complete top to toe relaxation journey. It incorporates body brushing, exfoliation, body massage and scalp massage, replicating the flow of the ocean, combining both gentle and stimulating movements. The ultimate spa treatment is designed to relieve aches and pains and to condition the body using the World’s First Organic Seaweed oikl from VOYA, with 2lbs of wild Atlantic Angelicus Serratus seaweed in every bottle. Before my VOYAgers Total Massage Journey started I was asked by my Spa Therapist to smell each oil and from there I got to choose the one that resonated with me most. I chose a relaxing blend and at the time I didn’t know that was what it was for but it made sense after I was shown the bottle because I think everyone including me needs a lot more relaxation time in our lives because we are forever on the go and there at times feels like there is never enough time and that is why it is so important to always take time out for ourselves to pause and reset and reconnect with

I found the massage table to be really wide and comfy which I loved because there is nothing worse when you feel like you are too big for the spa massage table so by feeling like I had plenty of room I felt that right about now the spa was already ticking all the boxes. The room was dimly light and the music was so soft and calm . I seriously felt like I was a million miles away from the rest of the world as the Spa Treatment room had this really private, enclosed nearly cocoon like feel . I found that when my Spa Therapist came back into the room she was able to ground and centre me very easily, simply through her natural touch and calming presence. She asked me also to inhale the scent of the oil she was about to use and that really helped too. My Spa Therapist flow and rhythm of her massage was beyond amazing, she was so connected and present with her massage flow and she didn’t break her contact once which I loved,. She truly knew how to work on the areas that needing working on and she was so good that she was able to make me feel fully present mind, body, spirit her massage flow was so relaxing, nurturing.
