“The definition of empowerment is authority or power given to someone to do something! The biggest trick of the enemy is to make us think we are powerless. Social media portrays images of women who are out of control and lack a sense of purpose. Life challenges can almost convince us that little can be done to create change. Empowerment is more than just a word that sounds good. Empowerment is an action word! Empowerment happens when someone receives an assignment and puts it into action to change the lives of others. (This is the complete transaction of empowerment) In the definition of empowerment, there are dual roles at play; giver and receiver. What is powerful about this word is that each of us interchangeably can be the giver or the receiver. All of us have been given gifts and talents from God to be empowered to complete an assignment. Once given our assignment, we have a special responsibility to walk out our purpose to build up someone else. Unfortunately, due to life’s challenges and socio and economic limitations, many of us have believed there is not much we can do to create change. I often hear women say ‘Girl, it is what it is…’ God has tasked me with letting women know that it is what you envision. I work to increase vision and clarity of women to empower them to step into their God-given power. God gave me a tool with my vision journal to create a space for women to cultivate their gifts and talents. Over the last four years, God has had me focus on my finances. I learned my numbers, studied statistics, and included a financial component to the journal to empower women to improve their personal and financial well-being. Additionally, in 2023 In Her Space will present Elevate Our Vision. I encourage you that no matter how low you may feel in this season, you can rise above it! You have all you need right now to be all you were created Woman to be. Someone needs to hear To your story! Someone needs to Watch know how you made it through! My sister, be empowered to know that you are more than enough! Walk in your purpose today!”

Do you know that your mouth has POWER? What is Power? (Dunamis) is defined as ability, influence, strength, or force. The ultimate truth is that Power is the inherent characteristics of God and is inexplicable. One thing we do know is that Power brings things into existence! In the creation story God, who is Power, said “let there be…” and ‘it’ was created! This means our words have the power to create! This is a spiritual law that Your POWER works negatively and positively, meaning our words create construction or destruction. We are reminded of this fact Is In Your throughout the Bible. Prov 18:21 tells us that “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who By: Shanda Campbell love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” This literally means our tongue is powerful and we will eat the fruit of our words. Mark 11:23 is another scripture that reminds us that when we speak and believe in the Power of God to perform it, He will do it! I believe that the trick of the adversary, who came to steal, kill, and destroy your power, is to use this law against us, but today we take our Power back!
MOUTH!
PREPARATION Reclaiming the power in your mouth is a process and you must have grace for yourself. Think of it like someone who has experience a health crisis that left them having to relearn everything. Slow down, give yourself grace, and focus on being conscious of what you think and preparing your words before they come out of your mouth. Renewing your mind requires relearning behaviors and this can only be done with the help of God so invite Him in to walk this journey with you!
DECLARATION Reclaiming the power in your mouth requires an understanding of who we are and where we operate from. We are King’s kids with Heavenly authority! This means we have a legal right to DECREE a thing and it shall come to past (Job 22:8).
A Decree is an official order issued by a legal authority! Whose authority are we speaking from? God’s! This means that I am not only Speaking a thing, but I’m making a DECLARATION!
As we embark upon 2023 it is of life and death importance that we reclaim the POWER in our Mouth! No matter the situation… We Declare We Win!

Tashena "The Encourager" Berry has been a FORCE in ministry and marketplace for over 10 years! She has created a movement and brand that helps women and Kingdom entrepreneurs walk in their Kingdom Identity. She has always had a desire for more in life despite the trials she has faced. “There were moments in my life that were not good. I planned to create a life with a man, settle down, and have a family, the world’s dream. I became so engulfed in finding my identity in a man that I lost myself… even the will to live. I had 3 children before my path led to marriage because of my fear of being alone. I stayed in this unhealthy state for years. Through it all my children were my light in the darkness. I began to understand the love I have for them does not equate to the love God has for me. This knowledge led me to love myself and realize that I need to heal. This led to a 13-year healing journey. I discovered myself and began to understand that the insecurities and inadequacies are seeds planted by the kingdom of darkness to stop me from the purpose of God! Since this discovery I am determined to walk in God’s purpose and have become a better mother to my amazing children (Tynazi, Tymazia, & Tayvon). I am also able to serve in the world and be a light for others” Since this self-discovery Tashena continues to encourage and assist others in finding their Kingdom Identity in life and in business. Her wise guidance focuses on building a solid foundation by creating intimacy with God and learning to follow the Holy Spirit which governs our temples. Each woman embarks on a journey covering multiple areas to learn how to be developed by God, how to walk by faith, and how to heal from wounds sustained during the journey. Tashena also focuses on teaching women how to discover their passion and create a successful business blueprint. These strategic sessions extensively cover analytics, how to discover your target audience, how to generate traffic, and so much more.

For The New Year! By: Shanda Campbell
The New Year is a great time to think about taking better care of us in every area of life and skin care is definitely important to focus on. Here are a few tips to take better care of your skin in 2023
Get Some Beauty Sleep. This may sound like a cliché and is often overlooked, but the lack of adequate sleep can lead to puffy eyes, wrinkles, and overall unhealthy skin. Making a conscious effort to improve your sleep hygiene is good for your mind, body, and skin. Eat Well & Hydrate. What we put in our bodies affects our skin. Eating a healthy diet and drinking adequate amounts of water will leave your skin feeling fresh and revitalized. Don’t be surprised if people tell you that your skin is glowing! Exfoliate & Moisturize. Exfoliating your skin regularly (about once a week) removes built up impurities and dead skin cells. You don’t have to use abrasive products to get a good scrub. You can find a natural product or try making your own. Don’t for get to moisturize! A good moisturizer is clean, light, and does not leave your face feeling sticky. This simple step will leave your skin in a soft, healthy state ready to take on the world with beauty and grace!
“Empowerment is the ability to pour back into others and teach them to take back their power. While encouraging and influencing others to free themselves from those things that no longer service them. But most importantly, make sure to take care of yourself as you embark on that journey called Life.”

You are a Powerful & Purposeful Woman! Tell us about your brand and how you began your purpose walk? When I got the greenlight.. that meant GO! When I really learned and embraced who I am.. everything changed! Additionally, when I learned and embraced who I am along with everything I'm capable of something unlocked! Being able to fully walk in all of it without fear has been a great stride. Everything began once I discovered me. You don't look like what you have been through! What do you say to others going through trials as they strive to walk in purpose?
I believe that everyone has life's trials and test. Even if you fail the test, try again. You'll only fail if you quit. The key to overcoming anything is going through. Focus and determination are necessary. You can never get over what you won’t go through. I’ve never seen a tunnel disappear. Light is on the other side of through! samantha.s.jones@outlook.com
Tell us about your journey to become an Author & Gospel Recording Artist; what motivated your hit song "He Can"?
"I Release You" ..those were the words a previous Pastor sent me through Facebook messenger one random day out of nowhere. What a way to remove someone from your ministry you might say. People go through rejection in life in many ways from family to "friends", and so on. I never knew I'd be left uncovered in that manner. From that birthed my first book "I Release You: Uncovered". The journey to writing and singing "He Can" was simple! Having a husband that’s a producer made it even better. After many flashbacks and reminders of what the good Lord has done, I had no choice to not only believe, but know that He Can. It’s my right, requirement, and due diligence to tell and remind the world that there’s a man named Jesus still saving souls, healing hearts, and freeing minds! Humanitarianism is important to you! Tell us about your program to house the homeless and provide transitional housing.
I have a heart for people. I believe that everyone deserves second chances, hot meals, warm beds, and a safe place to call home. Through coaching I am now helping others to do the same. We can’t be the change we want to see if we don’t do anything about it!
Finding Strength In Sisterhood By: Shanda Campbell
Sisterhood is powerful! To have a bond with a sister that is full of love and support is lifechanging. Social stigmas would have some believe that women don’t need each other, but that is far from the truth… we need each other! Every woman has a need and desire to have a sister to love and support us unconditionally. As a Black Woman in America these relationships are vitally important. To be forced to wear the super woman cape taking care of everyone, but self is exhausting. To wear the daily mask of “I’m ok” or being “too much” or “not enough” while being forced to defend every aspect of life is exhausting. We need a place to rest! A place we feel safe to take off our crowns and are reminded that we are loved and accepted not for the things we do or labels we wear, but for who we are! Where do women find a place of love, acceptance, and serenity? Sisterhood! This is a special place where sisters come together and take off the mask and cape. We can release without fear of judgement and not worry about having it all together. We find strength in the release! We find strength in the Love! We find strength Sisterhood!
As we embark on a New Year it is important that we find and feed into and from our sisters. You were not meant to walk this life alone.
I Am My Sister’s Keeper!
