Lodge 4, Hallettsville meets Feb. 13 Dear Members, Lodge 4, Hallettsville will meet Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the Chamber Meeting Room at 3 p.m. Following the meeting, we will have door prizes and lunch as usual. Lodge 6, Cottonwood appreciation dinner for volunteers Mark your calendar for Sunday, February 20, 2022! Lodge 6, Cottonwood appreciates all our volunteers who worked throughout 2021, especially for the extra hours put in for our annual lodge picnic and Westfest. A catered lunch of chicken fried steak and sides will be served at 12:30 p.m. Cottonwood Hall will open at 12 noon for social time. We are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, February 20. O O O Presenting 2022 Officers O O O SPJST Lodge 6, Cottonwood
Lodge 6, Cottonwood welcomes new members The monthly Lodge 6, Cottonwood meeting was called to order by President Milton Peterson. The Pledge of Allegiance and SPJST pledge were recited by a youth member, followed by a moment of silence to honor the deceased members. Sister Irene Peterson reported 10 members, one guest, and four youth members were present. Minutes from the December meeting were read by Secretary Barbara Hykel. Treasurer’s report was given by Peggy Dobecka. Both reports were approved by the membership. SPJST Home Office news was reported by Fraternal Activities Coordinator Jeanette Beseda. Youth club report was given by Peggy Dobecka. No additional member correspondence received/sent by Barbara Hykel. An appreciation dinner for all volunteer workers who helped make our fundraising activities successful was designated for Sunday, February 20 at 12:30 p.m. at Cottonwood Hall. This event is for all who worked at the Lodge 6 annual picnic in July and Westfest activities over Labor Day weekend. This will be a catered meal, and the lodge officers look forward to thanking all those who helped. Don Urbanovsky presented correspondence he received from Cotton-
wood Water Supply. Two directors are resigning, and the letter was an invitation to anyone interested in those director positions. The annual meeting for the Cottonwood Water Supply will be February 25 at Lodge 6, Cottonwood Hall. Jeanette Beseda announced two new members—adult Gina Vera and youth Jackson Dobecka. We welcome them both! District Three Director John Engelke was present to install the 2022 Lodge 6 officers.
