CAST BIOS

REN ALCIDE (CITY WORKER, BUS DRIVER’S MOM, BACKUP DUCKLING) graduated from Calvary Christian School. She helped as assistant choreographer/director in Calvary’s elementary musical Willy Wonka. Some of her previous shows include Oh! What A Tangled Web (Stan Glowacki), The Cat In The Hat (Kitten), and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (Lolly/Marlene). She also placed first in regionals at Literary for Duo Interpretation. She loves live music and performances and her favorite musical is Falsettos.

IZ CAMP (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is a graduate of Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts. She was the head Student Technician of the Theatre program and an involved member of Thespian Troupe 8787. Some of her works include Working the Musical (Nora/Babe), Hush: An Interview with America (Crew Chief), 9 to 5 (Soundboard Operator), The Year of the Plague: A New Beginning (Stage Manager), JungalBook (Stage Manager), and Legally Blonde the Musical (Sound Designer/ Board operator). Along with attending the Springer Theatre Academy for ten years, Iz has received the Ledger Enquirer’s Page One award for FABArts Music and held her position as the Principal Oboist of the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus. Iz is continuing her music and theatre education at Agnes Scott College with a minor in music performance and an intent to join the Black Friars Theatre Troupe. Iz would love to thank all of her friends and family for the endless support they have given her throughout the years.

CLAY DYKES (TEENAGER) is an alum of Northside High school. He would like to thank Mr. Harper, Mrs. Wadkins, and his family.

NOELLE LARKIN (PUPPY, DUCKLING, BACKUP DUCKLING) recently graduated from the RaineyMcCullers School of the Arts and has been a Springer Theatre Academy student for ten years. Her previous Springer productions include The Little Mermaid (Fish Ensemble), Twinkle, Twinkle Littlest Star (Little Star 3), and Planes, Trains, and Things That Go Zoom (Susan the Truck). She’s also been in many productions at Rainey-McCullers, including Working: The Musical (Deloris Dante), SpongeBob: The Musical (Old Man Jenkins), 9 to 5: The Musical (Violet Newstead), and Legally Blonde: The Musical (Paulette Bonafonte). She hopes you enjoy Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!

BRYCE HILL MARTIN (LITTLE OLD LADY) is an alum of Northside High School and has been an active Springer Theatre Academy student for 15 years. She has previously performed in the Springer Children’s Theatre production of Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse (Lilly) and The Cat in the Hat (Thing One). Some of her favorite shows include The Wolves (#46), Seussical Jr. (Cat in the Hat), and P.S. Merry Christmas (Director). Bryce would love to thank the Springer for every amazing opportunity they have provided her and for teaching her to do her job well and treat people nicely.

TAYLOR JACKSON (BUS ENGINE, BUS PUPPET) A recent high school graduate, Taylor Jackson is proud to be in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus The Musical! Taylor has done many workshops, including one with L.A. National Performers Academy and this eighteen-year-old can’t wait to continue their passion for storytelling as a theater performance major at CSU!

NAIROBI MAURICE (HOT DOG VENDOR, 2ND PIGEON, BACKUP DUCKLING) has recently graduated from Central High School, where she was the President of Thespian Troupe 7534. Her previous works include SpongeBob the Musical (SpongeBob), In The Heights (Nina Rosario), High School Musical (Gabriella Montez), and My Son Pinocchio (Pinocchio). Nairobi directed her first show, Wonderland, during her senior year. For the past few years, Theatre has been her life! She is excited to continue her journey as she will major in Musical Theatre at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Lastly, Nairobi would like to thank her parents for always pushing her to be the best she could be!

TYLER PATTERSON (PIGEON) is a graduate of Columbus High School and will attend Howard University in the fall to major in Musical Theatre. He was the Vice President of Thespian Troupe 5390. Some of his previous works include: Disney’s Nemo Jr. the Musical, Choreography Videos in New York City, Click Clack Moo- Cows that Type (ensemble), Antigone (Tireasis), and Seussical The Musical (Horton). Tyler has also received the Ledger Enquirer’s Page One Award in Drama and the Joy of Rearcous Award from the Springer Theatre Academy. Tyler directed his first one-act play entitled Night Witches for his senior project and raised canned foods that fed over 300 people during the holiday season. His favorite actresses are Jennifer Holiday, who originated the role of Effie White in Dreamgirls, and Audra McDonald, who performed in the musical Shuffle Along while several months pregnant. His favorite actor is Alex Newell, whose voice creates world peace. Tyler would love to acknowledge his Mother, also known as “Madre, Mommy, Murtah, and Mother Dearest” for supporting his dreams to be the ultimate theatre kid.

DJ PETERS (BUSINESS MAN) is a graduate of Central High School of Phenix City, where he was a member of Thespian Troupe # 7534 and Central High School’s Encore Productions. He has recently been preparing to study performing arts and hopes to obtain a BFA. He is very excited to be in the cast of Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive The Bus! Some of his previous works include Newsies (ensemble), 5 Little Monkeys (ensemble), Disney’s High School Musical (Zeke), Sponge Bob The Musical (Perch Perkins), Disney’s My Son Pinocchio: Geppetto’s Musical Tale (Geppetto), and Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Frollo). When he isn’t on stage, DJ enjoys serving on the Children’s Advisory Board for the Springer Theater Academy where he represents the Springer Theatre Academy in the community with fellow Academy students. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends. He would like to thank his family, especially his mom, Latrica, and his sweetheart Ms. Kayle Love, for their love and support.

AVERIANA “AVA JAYY” PITTMAN (BUS DRIVER) is a graduate of Central High School. She was the Choreographer for shows within her theater program and show choir group. Some of her previous works include Hunchback of Notre Dame(Quasimodo), In the Heights (Daniella), and a showcasestyle musical called All Together Now, where she played multiple contrasting roles. Averiana has also received Best Actor at her state-wide theatre competition three years in a row. Averiana played the role of Tina Turner in her interactive halftime show during every Central High School football game, accompanied by the Red Devil Regiment as she sang “Nut Bush City,” “Proud Mary,” “We Don’t Need Another Hero,” and “Simply the Best.” Averiana would love to acknowledge her parents, Kiana and Avery, for their endless support on her “theatre kid” journey and for showing her that she can do her very best, which is enough.
