For years, Bass Pro Shops® Outdoor World® in Springfield has been the number one tourist attraction in Missouri and now with the addition of Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium to the campus, it has become an attraction like no other.

But these aren’t the only attractions worth a visit in the Queen City of the Ozarks. There are a number of other museums in Springfield worth checking out, including the History Museum on the Square and the Springfield Art Museum.

For the more adventurous, go below the surface at Fantastic Caverns for a 55-minute guided tour that follows an ancient underground riverbed filled with massive formations or flip upside down at Sky Zone Springfield Trampoline Park.

Springfield’s parks and greenways are also a major attraction. Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, a 207-acre farm park that includes an animal barn, farmthemed playground, visitors center, gift shop and a fishing pond, is popular with families. On the south side of the city, the Springfield Conservation Nature Center is popular with locals and tourists who can enjoy three miles of beautiful hiking trails through a variety of natural communities. You’ll even get great views of Springfield Lake.

The Springfield area also has some great animal attractions in addition to Bass Pro and Wonders of Wildlife. Wild Animal Safari includes a small walk-through zoo featuring a petting area along with it’s drive-through tours, Dickerson Park Zoo has a wide variety of animal exhibits and at the National Tiger Sanctuary, get a close look at exotic cats.

Your next adventure in Springfield awaits!
