Along with its many attributes, Springfield is a college town and that means the city has a thriving nightlife. Pubs and dance clubs, live music and breweries, comedy clubs and sports bars; you’ll find those and more in Springfield.

For those who like to experience a variety, head downtown where several nightclubs, three breweries, a distillery and other nightlife options are within walking distance of one another. On the first Friday of each month, downtown Springfield is abuzz thanks to First Friday Art Walk, an event showcasing the city’s artsy scene alongside dining and entertainment options.

You’ll want to check out the city’s oldest tavern - Lindberg’s - on Commercial Street, watch the rivalry at Ernie Biggs dueling piano bar and do the two-step at one of the city’s honky tonks. There are plenty of options from which to choose, including neighborhood bars and the latest hot spots. You’re sure to find one or more that fit your style.
