Tuesday 07 August 2018//The Brian Addison Stadium // Attendance:105 Squires Gate won their first game of the season in convincing fashion beating Burscough 6-1.. Andy Clarkson’s men won a first league game and home game in convincing fashion with five goals in the first 45 minutes. Gate took the lead early on in the game through captain Joe Booth. Booth was found on the edge of the box before turning and firing past the keeper with a sharp turn. As quick as the first goal came, Gate had a second. Ric Seear fouled in the box by keeper Max Povey who revived a yellow card. Seear then handed the responsibilities over to Gary Pett who fired last Povey for 2-0. Gary Pett again found the back of the net 21 minutes into the game. Some lovely passing football from Gate’s midfield as Seear found Ing round the corner before the midfielder charged into the box and squared to Pett who dived in at the back post to score. Not content with the 3-0 after 20 minutes, Gate added a fourth. Ryan Charnley, on his first start this season, took aim from 30 yards out and fires past the keeper into the top corner. Ben Fletcher has to be alert after 35 minutes to save low to his left. He reacted quickest to palm away the ball to save Gate. .
Gate ended what can be described as a perfect half with another goal. Ric Seear getting in on the goal scoring act as he and Pett both jumped, Seear headed past Povey for 5-0
Half time: Squires Gate 5-0 Burscough
Much like the first half, the second started with a goal for Gate. Half time sub Brett Dawsongetting in on the act as he ran onto a through ball and fired low past the keeper. Ryan Charnley tried to replicate his earlier goal when he took aim after 53 minutes, but the midfielder couldn’t find the net this time. Burscough found themselves a constalation goal 10 minutes before full time from the penalty spot. Chad Whyte stepping up and only just beating Ben Fletcher who got his foot to the ball.

Saturday 11 August 2018//The Recreation Ground // Attendance:214 Goals from Brett Dawson, Ryan Charnley and Joe Booth gave Gate a 3-0 lead before a late comeback from the homeside came just too late. Gate had to make a couple of changes coming into this game, not the ideal preparation coming into the game. Striker Ric Seear missed out due a back injury, whilst Matty Kay was still recovering from an injury that kept him out of Gate's 6-1 mid-week win against Burscough. Midfielder Dan Gray also missed out on the game due to a clause in his loan contract from parent club AFC Fylde. On his first start of the season, Brett Dawson linked well with Gary Pett after four minutes but Dawson's cross was caught by the keeper at the near post. Dawson then came close a second time in the sixth minute, he was found by a brilliant cross from Jordan Salthouse, but Dawson's header came back of the post. The homeside themselves went close on two seperate occasions. First a corner was sent in but went over everyone's head. Then two minutes later one of West's wingers beat Gate to the byeline before sending a cross across the six yard box where nobody in white and black could get a touch. Gate opened the scoring after twenty two minutes when Ryan Charnley scored his second goal of the season. He was in the right place to tap in after Brett Dawson's volley was blocked on the line. The homeside looked to reply four minutes later and only Adam Sumner denied them.
A header from Saul Henderson looked to be going in, but Adam Sumner rose highest to clear the ball off the line. Gate doubled their lead in the thirtieth minute when Brett Dawson got the goal his performance deserved. He timed his run well to run on to Joe Booth's through ball and fire past the keeper one on one. gate's last chance of the first half came for Dawson again. He was found by an inch perfect corner from Adam Sumner but could only head wide.
Half time: West Didsbury & Chorlton 0-2 Squires Gate The second half couldn't have started any worse for the homeside as they were reduced to ten men five minutes in. Keeper Jones came out of his area handling the ball whilst fouling Brett Dawson, earning himself a red card. From the resulting freekick, Gate captain Joe Booth showed his quality as he found the top corner with an unstoppable freekick. The home side refused to surrender and forced Ben Fletcher to save with his feet on the hour. And the hosts pulled one back with a pinpoint free-kick by Joe Shaw on 74 minutes. Keeper Ben Fletcher made another quality save in stoppage time but could not deny Saul Henderson a second for West, though it is Gate who will contest the preliminary round on Saturday week.

BRIAN PRITCHARD Brian took charge this season and he has put his stamp on his team at the moment as they hasn't lost yet this season.
Brian and his team will looking to keep that going in todays game however he knows Gate are coming into the game more off same but they drew the first game.
HISTORY OF THE BEARS The changing facilities were redesigned and upgraded. The team reached the fifth Round of the FA Vase, beat three higher league sides in reaching the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, the semi-finals of the Cheshire Senior Cup and the Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup. In all cup competitions other than the FA Cup, only the eventual finalists beat the Bears. With promotion missed, a number of players left the club in the summer of 2004 leaving Kevin Langley with the task of rebuilding the side for the 2004/05 campaign. After a poor start and early exits from all major cup competitions, Karl Wilcox replaced Kevin Langley after he resigned in November 2005. In a further twist in an already difficult season, Karl Wilcox resigned after 11 defeats in 12 games. Paul Moore was appointed for the remainder of the season and he guided the team to safety before confirmation of his appointment signalled the start of rebuilding of a side aiming to challenge for honours. 2005/06 started brightly with SSG adding a third year to its already valuable sponsorship, but swift exits from cup competitions were a disappointment. After many changes in personnel, the team settled to end the season with a creditable run in that held promise for 2006/07. The start of a football academy for 6-15 year olds and the introduction of a reserve side were positive steps to help build the teams of the future. 2006/07 saw new sponsors STD Limited, part of the Pallex network, entering a 2-year deal which they then extended a further year. The supporters trust provided kit for the reserve team. After a steady start to the 2006/07 campaign, Paul Moore left to manage Leek Town and Andy Lee took over the managerial reins as the club strived to maintain continuity. The Bears lifted their first piece of silverware for some time when they won the Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup after defeating Witton Albion 3-0 at Wincham Park. At the end of the season Andy Lee stepped down as he announced a proposed move to Blackpool and Anthony Buckle and Darren Twigg were appointed with the task of rekindling the on-field performances. Off the field new floodlights were installed and the stand behind the bottom goal was re-roofed. After a reasonable season, despite a poor final run in, both Anthony and Darren stayed with the club and continued to build a side with promotion the target within the next couple of years. That plan was maintained in 2008/09 as the Bears ended a creditable 4th, just 1 point away from a 3rd place finish. A final run in of just 1 league defeat in the last 20 matches encouraged everyone. With two new key local businessmen, Nick Shatwell and Martin Lenton teaming up to add impetus to the club’s ambition, significant development of the clubs facilities were started. A redesigned entrance, turnstiles and car park were the first step. Refurbishment of the club house followed and tarmac has been laid in the car park. For the start of 20010/11 the club now has a hospitality suite for sponsors and a new boardroom. With Ant and Twiggy remaining at the helm, they have been busy strengthening the squad for a serious attempt to lift some silverware and to complete the ambition for a return to Northern Premier League football. However, after an indifferent season in 2010/11 the pair tendered their resignation. 2011/12 saw the club jointly managed by Joe Paladino and Adriano Rigoglioso. Assisted by Joe Gibiliru, the playing side were completely reformed but indifferent results led to Dean Sibson placed in temporary charge in early November before Jim Vince was appointed in February 2012. His was tasked with rebuilding the side ready for a real push for promotion in 2012/13. He was initially assisted by Neil Gill and Steve Hardy before Neil left the club mid season. With the addition of Gateley Solicitors and PKF Accountants forming new partnerships with the club, the erection of a new spectator covered standing area and strengthening off field organisation, the club starts the new season with a new found enthusiasm and optimism for 2012/13. That was not borne out completely, so strengthening was needed for 2013/14. Having been awarded grade E for their ground in March 2013, ready for the next tier in the pyramid, strengthening of the playing squad was a priority and over the close season some additional players were brought in to complement the majority that were staying. Both Jim and Steve Hardy, now with Andy Alston on the coaching staff, look to improve on last year’s achievements with promotion still the obvious goal. With the opportunity to continue strengthening the squad for 2014/15, Jim has signed players that will improve the overall quality of the squad and once again push for that elusive promotion place for a return to Northern Premier League football. That wish just failed to materialise and the club once more looked to change direction with the replacement of Jim Vince. Steve Hardy and Mike McDonald have taken over the running of team affairs with Andy Alston and team captain Andrew Langford able to add their experience to the redeveloping of the side. With a number of players departing in the summer, Mike and Steve have started the rebuilding which may take a few matches to get 2015/16 in full swing. After a string of disappointing performances and results, the club board moved to appoint Andy Alston and Griff Jones as joint managers. Although neither have a track record of management, the club felt they had the right credentials to bring the best out of the squad. That was proved in an excellent run of 14 games unbeaten in March and April 2016 but work commitments meant Griff could not give the time to his role and during the close season, Andy appointed Tom Baker, from Prescot Cables (and an ex-Bear) as his assistant. Both were tasked to continue the work to build the strength and quality of the squad to try to improve on the 6th place finish in 2015/16. Sadly season 2016/17 proved to be disappointing, culminating in the Bears ending 16th and Andy Alston stepping down. The Bears moved quickly to appoint Ian Street, who had left 1874 Northwich in March, as manager and he in turn appointed his assistant Brian Pritchard, who played for Witton and is their record appearance holder before he went on to manage them. They are joined by Paul Johnson, an A Licence coach with Port Vale Academy. The appointments have rekindled the enthusiasm among fans.

In an entertaining Extra Preliminary cup tie, Emini Adegbenro’s penalty in the 64th minute proved to be decisive as the Bears made it a hat-trick of wins and clean sheets from their opening three games of the season. High on confidence after back-toback league victories, the hosts started the game the brighter of the two sides. It took only four minutes for Congleton to have their first chance after Adegbenro was fouled just outside the area; John Main shot over from the resulting free-kick. Six minutes later, the hosts broke quickly from an Eccleshill corner, but a last-ditch challenge from Mathew Stor denied the Bears a goalscoring opportunity. Eccleshill, who are based near Bradford and play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, grew into what would become a competitive and entertaining cup tie. Kurrom Shazad’s curling effort forced a diving save from Ellison, who acrobatically tipped the ball behind for a corner. Steve Hollingworth’s shot from just outside the area flashed just wide of the post, while there was a nervous moment for the Bears when the visitors were two-on-two in the 29th minute, but Josh Ryder recovered well to turn the ball behind. Whilst the Bears managed to create chances, they were unable to get behind a well organised and resolute Eccleshill team. In a rare break from their flowing passing style, Bears’ goalkeeper Craig Ellison’s long ball forward found Hasler-Cregg, but his half-volley went beyond the far post. A good passing move by the Bears ended with Main firing wide, while Hasler-Cregg’s effort also went the wrong side of the post after a good turn by the Congleton winger. With neither side being able to find a breakthrough in the first-half, it meant it was all to play for in the second period of 45 minutes. Just three minutes after the restart, there were appeals for a penalty by Eccleshill after Sam Bradley’s header was deflected behind by Dean Warburton. The visitors felt the ball hit Warburton’s arm, but the referee waved away the appeals, awarding a corner. From this point, the Bears started to pile the pressure on the Yorkshire based team. Adegbenro’s shot went just over the bar in the 54th minute and the Congleton striker thought he had given the hosts a lead eight minutes later when Eccleshill goalkeeper Dominic Smith nearly fumbled his shot into the net, but, much to Smith’s relief, it went out for a corner. Two minutes later, Adegbenro was given the chance to break the deadlock when Liam Moran 01 DOMINIC SMITH was brought down in the area by Aran Basi. Up stepped Adegbenro who sent Smith the wrong way, coolly slotting his pen- 02 MATTHEW STOR alty into the bottom left corner. The Bears remained solid in defence whilst also looking to extend their lead. Striker Dan Cope came on to 03 RHYS THOMAS 01 CRAIG ELLISON make his debut after joining from Hanley Town in the summer, re04 ARAN BASI 02 THOMAS STEPHENS placing Main in the Bears’ forward line. Hasler-Cregg was one-on-one with the goalkeeper after a quick counter attack, but Smith made 05 SAM BRADLEY 03 RICHARD PETERS himself big to deny the Congleton winger. Just minutes later, Hasler06 JASSIM ALLALI 04 JOSHUA RYDER Cregg had another chance, but his curling free-kick went just over. 07 KURRUM SHAZAD 05 THOMAS MORRIS The Bears did well to limit the visitors to shots from distance, with Ellison tipping Stor’s speculative dipping half-volley onto the crossbar 08 CHARLIE FLAHERTY 06 ANTHONY GRIFFITH and out for a corner. But, with nine minutes to go, Congleton faced 07 WILLIAM HASLER-CREGG 09 STEVE HOLLINGWORTH the greatest test of their resolve when Eccleshill were awarded a free 10 CHRIS LEVER 08 DEAN WARBURTON -kick just outside the area. Hollingworth’s free-kick hit the wall, before the rebound was deflected behind for a corner, which was 11 JONNY IRVING 09 EMINI ADEGBENRO cleared. The Bears defence soaked up the pressure in the final few 10 LIAM MORAN minutes, with Eccleshill being reduced to 10-men in injury-time after 12 BEN GRECH-BROOKSBANK substitute Carlton Pownall was sent-off for two yellow cards in the 11 JOHN MAIN space of two minutes. The referee blew the final whistle soon after 14 JACK BENTLY sealing Congleton Town’s place in the FA Cup Preliminary round, 15 ANDY COOPER 12 DANIEL COPE where they will face Handsworth Paramore on the weekend of 25th 16 CARLTON POWNALL 14 ROBERT COOKE August. 15 LUKE TALYOR

In a new feature we team up with the Non-league paper editor Matt Badcock who is going a little bit off a column each week to place into our programme so all you non-league fan can found out at happen all across the non-league pyramid EVERY season, in conjunction with the Football Association, we produce a Pyramid Poster. It shows the National League System make-up from Steps 1 to 6 with all the Step 7 competitions also listed. When it arrives from the printers each year, it’s hard not to be taken aback by the scale of it all. For a country this size, we have a tremendous number of football clubs outside of the Football League. From big cities to small towns – often boasting more than one team – to tiny villages, football weaves through the fabric of every blade of grass this country has. It’s remarkable – and why everyone should be proud of the system in this country. It is feasible – although investment is needed – for a tiny village club to reach the Premier League should it win promotion and meet the off-pitch standards along the way. Our designers who put the Pyramid Poster together are already thinking ahead a couple of years and quite how they are going to fit it all in. As you will know, the number of divisions have expanded from this season with an extra at both Step 3 and Step It’s all part of the FA’s ongoing restructuring with the system in need of a reshape to fit with modern day life and an emphasis on reducing travelling times and costs. Clearly, it’s never going to be perfect. The very shape of our shores mean there will always be clubs on the periphery of boundaries. Even with the new divisions, we still see some clubs particularly hard hit, often through no fault of their own in the case of Hampshire outfit Fleet Town being shifted to a new division as a knock-on effect of Yorkshire club Shaw Lane’s demise. But there will be further changes as we move forward. The FA have confirmed they plan to introduce an eighth division at Step 4 – almost certainly in the north-east – for 2020-21. There are some oddities that need to be fixed with the bottle neck that has now been created in promotions at Step 3 and 4. With only six clubs coming down from the National League North, it means only six clubs can go up from Step 3 – four champions and then super play-offs across the divisions to decide the next two. And at Step 4, only five of the seven play-off winners will go up on a Points-Per-Game basis. It’s, as the FA acknowledge, far from ideal. So expect the system to evolve over the coming years and, maybe, we could also see the much-needed third promotion place from the National League into the Football League. The English football system is unique – and fluidity of movement up and down is vital. THE FA Cup kicks off this weekend with more prize money on offer than ever before. It’s been doubled this season and in the Extra Preliminary Round and Preliminary Round, losing clubs will also take home a slice of the pie (£750 and £960 respectively). Fantastic news for all clubs at this level and even more of an incentive to strive for a great run in the competition. Of course, clubs can use the extra cash how they see fit but hopefully many will choose to invest it into their club, buy those new seats, put it towards that new toilet block and generally improve their facilities. No doubt, some will fancy bringing in a new striker!

n Andy Clarkson’s first home game of his return to the club, his side alway looked in control against a side that beat Gate 6-2 earlier in the season. Clarkson bought back left back Jake Higham back into the team after he was unavailable for the last game. New signings Jack Kay and Tyler Atack started on the bench. Gate made the perfect start to the game opening the scoring after just four minutes. Gary Pett heading the ball into the path of Dean Ing who scrambled the ball home inside the six yard box. The visitors went close on 16 minutes with a bit of luck involved. Striker Adegbenro closed down a back pass to Ben Fletcher and his goal kick rebounded off the striker but went over the bar. Tarren Moxon had a brilliant chance of 17 minutes when he stormed into the box. He jinked past his man into the box but his fierce effort was tipped over the bar. From the resulting corner, Gate would grab their second of the game. The corner played short found its way to Dean Ing who battled well, in the corner of the six yard box. He played the ball back to Pett who fired past the keeper for his first of the game. Congleton could have grabbed a goal back on 24 minutes but keeper Ben Fletcher made a superb save. He hooked the ball off the line causing the visitors to appeal to the linesman who waved away the protests. Jack Williams came close to playing in Pett just before half time. He jinked past two but his ball through to Pett was too heavy. HALF TIME: Squires Gate 2-0 Congleton Town Gate would start the second half on the front foot, extending their lead after three minutes. From a superb corner in, Gary Pett rose highest to power in the header for his second of the game. Dean Ing came close to scoring what could have been a goal of the season contender. From the half way line he stormed forward skipping challenges before getting into the box, only for the keeper to save his shot. Late on into the game Tarren Moxon would come close, much like in the first half. Gary Pett winning the flick on to find the winger but he curled his shot just wide. New signing Tyler Atack was introduced late on and had the chance to open his account for the club. Unfortunately he was on his own and fired over the bar. In the 89th minute keeper Ben Fletcher had to be alert to save a fierce shot, before the visitors out the ball back in and Peters headed in.

LAST TIME GATE WAS HERE ASHTON ATHLETIC 0 GATE 2 It was Gate who took the lead after just six minutes and it was in impressive fashion. From a freekick after a foul on Pett, Gate won a throw-in, that throw-in found Richards who played the ball into Gary Pett who side volleyed last the keeper with confidence. Gate took aim again three minutes through both Richards and Pett, but neither shot could find a way through the Ashton defence. Ashton themselves found a way through a minute later when a ball through the middle of midfield caught out Gate. Luckily for Gate the Ashton midfielder dragged his shot wide. Gate and Gary Pett were denied a second goal on 12 minutes when keeper Martin Pearson did well to save one on one. Max Rothwell and Ryan Charnley almost scored a lovely team goal on 21 minutes when they came close to linking up. Rothwell’s original corner was cleared Ryan Charnley flicking the ball over the top for Rothwell but he couldn’t stretch to meet the pass. Gate would double their lead just before half time. Ryan Charnley continuing his impressive record of scoring another important goal for the club. He was in the right place at the right time and made no mistake, showing quick footwork, to stroke the ball into the bottom corner. The homeside would go close seven minutes into the second half when Josh Nicholson looked to test Turner in goal. He took aim from outside the box but Turner watched the ball over his goal. The winger again took aim from outside the box, but the shot was straight across goal not testing Turner on 56 minutes. Former Blackpool and England man Trevor Sinclair came on after 63 minutes and came close to helping Gate add another goal. He played a lovely switched ball to find his son on the opposite wing, unfortunately for Gate Dean Ing couldn’t connect with Issac Sinclair’s lovely lay off from the pass. Sinclair soon came close to opening his account for the club but was just beat to the back by keeper Pearson. Sinclair played a lovely one-two with Gary Pett whose pass set him up one on one but the keeper did well to save low.

AROUND THE LEAGUE Saturday saw the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on the agenda for 27 of our clubs, and eight booked places in the next round with a further eight involved in midweek replays to determine their fate. There was eight ties that paired two of clubs together, and the highest scoring game was at the Litherland Sports Park, where Litherland REMYCA raced into a three goal lead inside 22 minutes at home to Charnock Richard, eventually winning 4-2. Prestwich Heys from Division One North took the scalp of Premier Division Abbey Hey at Adie Moran Park, where Theodore Kidd's 5th minute opener for Heys was almost immediately cancelled out by Aaron Rodger for Abbey. But Jacob Wood's header three minutes into the second half clinched a 2-1 win for Heys, and a mouth watering derby clash with Evo-Stik League side Radcliffe in the next round. There were two away winners in the all-HSL ties, and at the St Lukes Barton Stadium, a last minute winner from Jordan Buckley clinched a 2-1 win for Irlam over Winsford United. Meanwhile, at the Recreation Ground, goals from Ryan Charley, Brett Dawson and Joe Booth in the first 52 minutes set Squires Gate on the way to victory at West Didsbury & Chorlton, although two late goals from home side meant a 3-2 win in the end for the visitors. Two other games ended in 3-1 home wins, with Joe Holt scoring twice in the opening 19 minutes of City of Liverpool's 3-1 win over Silsden, and AFC Darwen won by the same score at home to Barnton, all the goals coming in the second half. Eleven of our clubs faced opponents from other leagues, and Whitchurch Alport produced one of the results of day, winning 1-0 at Midland League Premier Division side Coventry Sphinx thanks to a goal from Lee Pickerill 19 minutes from time. The other of our teams to win on the day against opponents from another league were Congleton Town, whose 1-0 win over Eccleshill United from the Northern Counties East League was earned by a successfully converted penalty on the hour by Emini Adegbenro. Eight clubs face midweek replays, with two of those being all-Premier Division ties. A last minute equaliser from Callum Schorah earned a 2-2 draw for AFC Liverpool at home to Ashton Athletic, and Burscough made a flying start at home 1874 Northwich with goals from Chad Whyte and Terry Cummings putting them two up within 14 minutes. But Matthew Woolley pulled one back for 1874 just before half time, and a Scott McGowan equaliser 16 minutes from time ensured a midweek replay. A second half equaliser from Robert Doran earned Northwich Victoria a 1-1 draw against Widnes on the Townfield ground in Barnton that hosted Vics' home games last season, and it was the same score down in Warwickshire where Hanley Town were held to a 1-1 draw at Atherstone Town. Both Barnoldswick Town and Runcorn Town took the lead in their respective ties, but in the end had to settle for 1-1 draws. Barlick's Andrew Hill opened the scoring at home to Billingham Synthonia at the Silentnight Stadium and Runcorn Town's Stephen Lewis did likewise at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, but will require success in midweek replays to ensure their progress in to the next round. The remaining five of our clubs who faced opponents from other leagues saw their interest end in the competition, with Ellesmere Rangers and Maine Road losing 1-0 at home to Leicester Road and Handsworth Parramore respectively, and Parkgate ensured that Sandbach United's first experience of the FA Cup wasn't a winning one, with United going down 2-0.Padiham had a day to forget at Liversedge, losing 5-2 and a winner 20 minutes from time ensured that Penistone Church posted a 2-1 win over Bootle. There were also eight games in Division North and seven in the South, and new boys Garstang and Wythenshawe Town occupy the top spots in each division on goal difference. It's now three wins of three for Garstang, who finally emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over Steeton after a ding-dong affair at the Riverside. They share top spot in Division One North with Carlisle City, who also maintained a 100% record after second half goals from Marc Shiel and Ryan Errington earned them a 2-1 win at Chadderton. St Helens Town are in third place, two points off the top although they had to rely on a stoppage time equaliser from Neil Weaver to salvage a point from a 2-2 draw at Bacup Borough, and they were joined on seven points by AFC Blackpool, who beat Atherton LR 1-0 thanks to a goal from Jack Williams 20 minutes from time. Avro are a point behind in fifth place, after a stoppage time winner from Lee O'Brien edged a 3-2 home win over Longridge Town, and Cleator Moor Celtic notched their first win of the season in impressive style, winning 5-1 at home Nelson, Liam Johnston scoring twice. The other games in the division ended all square, with Ashton Town picking up their first point with a 1-1 draw at Holker Old Boys, and it was goalless between Shelley and Lower Breck. Division One South has a four way tie at the top, but is headed by Wythenshawe Town on goal difference, after they won 4-0 at FC Oswestry Town. New Mills joined Town on six points after a 5-2 win at home to Cammell Laird 1907, in which a second half hat trick from Aaron Dwyer was the highlight, and two goals from Terrence Butler of Cheadle Heath Nomads earned them a 4-1 win at Eccleshall to also move them onto six points. Abbey Hulton United's 100% record was ended at Wythenshawe Amateurs with a stoppage time winner from Colin Murray clinching a 3-2 win for the home side. There were first wins of the season for Stone Old Alleynians, Jack Tomlinson's 22nd minute goal earning them a 1-0 home victory over St Martins, and Alsager Town, whose 2-1 win over Rylands was sealed with a 75th minute winner by Mazn Amhamed. The other two games in the division, between Cheadle Town and Vauxhall Motors, and Stockport Town and Stone Dominoes, ended in 1-1 draws.
