Horticulture is a diverse and dynamic industry that encompasses the commercial production of: fruit, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants It also includes the design, establishment, and maintenance of: parks and gardens, leisure and sports grounds, open spaces and managed landscapes It is a profession which offers a diversity of jobs to suit a wide range of talents The profession also needs researchers, technologists, marketing experts and managers to shape the industry for the future
