Professional Golf, Greenkeeping and Golf Management students access the Elmwood Fairways as an integral part of their golf training and education .

The Elmwood Golf Course is open to the public and welcomes all ages and abilities Located just a couple of miles from the main campus it was developed and built specifically as an industry leading training facility Elmwood Golf Course provides an excellent resource for students on both the Greenkeeping & Golf Management path and the Professional Golf programmes

The 18-hole pay & play facility includes practice area, flood lit driving range with grass tees, 6 indoor bays, 3 target greens and a USGA standard short game practice facility and private tuition suite The golf course also has a clubhouse with bar and restaurant

The course was designed to provide an attractive playing environment with a natural look and feel which is both sympathetic to the surrounding landscape and enhances the biodiversity The construction involved the minimal movement of soil and the ongoing maintenance of the turf involves minimal, if any, use of pesticides

Elmwood Golf are very proud of their environmental strategy Elmwood Golf Course is a finalist in the category of UK Environmental Golf Club of the Year in the 2023 Golf Environment Awards and was nominated for the World's Best EcoFriendly Golf Facility prize at the World Golf Awards They are members of the GEO (Golf Environmental Organisation for sustainable golf) and hold a Scottish Golf Course Wildlife Group Environmental Award, a European Greenkeeping Environmental Award as well as winning the Business Award for Nature Rich Scotland in 2022
