When we first started, I was terribly in debt and we were just a few months away from bankruptcy. We started seeing a boost right away in our business, we took what Steve’s given me and we just started implementing and implementing, and it’s just totally transformed my business. Steve has helped me with my laser focus, he helps me implement, he’s taken my business to a whole new level. We went from a half a million dollars to a million dollars in two years. It’s just an incredible experience to know that where you think you’re just dead and things are horrible, to now anything is possible. I can see taking this to a whole new three or four types of businesses -- it’s going to be huge. Steve is all business, he is an unbelievably smart, brilliant man. I can’t say enough about him. Everything he’s told me, I’ve made so much money it doesn’t matter what it costs. They don’t make enough money in this world that somebody could pay me so I would stop listening to Steve. Steve is the exact reason why I have a retirement fund now. It’s probably illegal how much fun I’m having!”

SPRINGING INTO ACTION By Steve Sipress Spring is in the air, and that brings with it feelings of fresh starts and new growth. And for your humble publisher, that means all kinds of new and revved up marketing activities.
Live Video This month I started doing live videos for the first time. Every day, I connect with my audience via a new Facebook Live video. It’s always fun, entertaining, and informative. Connect with me on Facebook and let me know what you think. The topics I cover will be based on your feedback.
Are you constantly asking yourself, “What am I doing to improve and expand my sales and marketing activities?” As a decade-long crappy economy starts to turn around, business and consumer spending will increase. But the biggest share of it will flow, of course, to those business owners and entrepreneurs who go get it by taking massive action to implement effective sales and marketing strategies and tactics. Here are just a few of the things I’m taking action on right now…

“Steve is all business. He is an unbelievably smart, brilliant, brilliant man. I can't say enough about him. Steve has put probably more, I would say, thousands, and thousands, and thousands of dollars... I mean, I probably can't even put a true figure on it, because it keeps coming back, and keeps coming back, just more and more money all the time.”
“One suggestion that Steve gave me, well, without question, put $300,000 more in my bank account. And we are going to be using it forever. This is not a one-time deal. We’re going to be using this idea that Steve helped us with... and we’ll be using it until it doesn't keep working like it is. And so, the value over time could literally be way over even the $300,000 number.”

“He's helped me learn how to market my business, and today I can say that we're more successful than we've ever been… I needed to learn how to market the business better to create more revenue, and that's what Steve has helped me with. The financial difference is considerable. We've probably close to doubled our revenues. We're on track now to do another close to $500,000 more than we did last year. So that's awesome. I do owe all of that to Steve.”

Ori Bengal The Art of Marketing Steve Sipress: Ori Bengal, what a pleasure it is to have you here on the Rhino Daily Podcast! Ori Bengal: Pleasure to be here. Thanks for having me. Steve: Now, this is going to be a little different, I have a little warning for my listeners: Normally, we have some pretty ultra-overly-serious types, who are all about nuts and bolts, and “do A-B-C, 1-2-3.” And they’re all really serious about stuff – by the book. A little uptight, let’s just say. But, that’s why it is my absolute pleasure to introduce
you, and you will get to know over the next week, to just scratch the surface of knowing the amazing person that Ori is. He’s an unfiltered, phenomenal, free-thinking, free-willing, fantastic entrepreneur, and I am just so looking forward to how much fun we’re about to have. Ori: I love it. I might have to borrow that recording as my ringtone I give to people. Steve: Okay. Feel free. I don’t know anything about how that would work with technology, but feel free to

repurpose the recording any way you want. So let me ask this question right off the bat: as an ADD entrepreneur, I’m fond of saying that that’s a requirement for being a successful entrepreneur. What the world sees as a detriment, some kind of disease or malfunctioning… An entrepreneur, that’s just who we are is ADD. Now, among ADD entrepreneurs, Ori, I have to say, you’re practically at the top of the list. How did you get to be so… How can you maintain being so successful, being so amazingly ADD? Ori: Put it to good use, first of all.
EXPERT INTERVIEW
There’s a lot of things… Take all the various tests. I used to run a print shop, among the other things I’ve done. When you’re dealing with an image, you’re going to print it 300 dots per inch, that’s the print resolution. If you think of the old cell phone cameras, circa 2001, 2003, people would give me those old, little, teeny tiny, crappy pictures, low resolution, and ask me to print that up. And it wouldn’t even be good enough to print on a business card. That’s low resolution. The number, the 300 DPI – that’s Dots Per Inch – that talks about the amount of dots of ink that make the image look solid. So get yourself profiled. There’s the StrengthsFinder 2.0, there’s the MeyersBriggs, there’s a zillion different tests that you can get, and all of them offer you another dot of ink. The more of them you get, the more comprehensive of a picture you have of who you are, what your strengths are, and obviously use your own common sense as well. It tells you know what you like and what you don’t like. You’ll notice patterns in your life, obviously, like, “Oh my God, I keep making this mistake. Why do I keep dating this kind of girl, that always blows up?” Whatever it is. And put all of that information together. Once you know who you are, what you do that you’re good at and that you enjoy, and what you absolutely suck at, then don’t do the things that you suck at. Outsource those.
better story. Don’t make up your story. All my stories are real. I think I slightly self-sabotage my life to make it more interesting and fun. It feels like an adventure. I get bored easily. Steve: So I think my listeners already are noticing how many different topics were just covered in that first response, so you can see what we’re talking about, and how much fun we’re going to have. So let me ask you: Storytelling – you really hit on a bit topic there – is huge to the success of all business owners, all marketers. Seth Godin’s book All Marketers Are Liars, meaning all marketers have got to really be great storytellers. How did you come to develop this skill? Because you’re one of the greatest storytelling entrepreneurs I know. How did you develop that skill? Ori: I was a little, short, fat kid that barely knew English. I learned English from watching cartoons. I came from Israel on my ninth birthday, so literally one week from today will be the 30-year anniversary of when I got to the United States. I didn’t have a lot of confidence speaking. I sucked at that. I would “ummm…” and “uhh…” and focus on the wrong details. I’d lose my audience. So
March 2017
over the years. I really wanted to have confidence speaking to an audience. Also, partially I’m a ham. I like having an audience. I like public speaking. Also, I do so many random things. I’m sure your listeners are going to hear a whole bunch of these as we speak. I was “homeless” voluntarily for six years, just traveling around. It wasn’t like I was just homeless. I stayed with multi-millionaires. I stayed with the CEO of Zappa.com, I stayed with UFC cage fighters. But the thing is, I get bored easily, and I’ve always had a sense of adventure. My last business card had “Adventurer” as my job title. And when you do so many things, so random, then people start asking you about it. After a while, you just repeat the story again and again and again, and you learn to tell it better. You notice what makes people laugh, you notice when people tune out. If you’re not noticing how your audience is responding to you, both online, with conversions, and offline, with smiles and body language, then you’re not doing a great job as an entrepreneur. Because people are telling you what they like and what they don’t like. Way before I knew marketing and all
Now I’m not the best at outsourcing, so I do end up blowing things up often. But for me that’s part of the fun. I’ve learned that as a storyteller – that’s a skill I recommend everyone pick up – all the bad stuff is what makes a great story. If you say, “Hey. I started this new business, and everything went peachy, and here we are,” nobody really cares. But if you’re like, “Oh, I started this thing, but then everything blew up, and I thought I was going to die, and I went broke, and then I was homeless, and then finally everything took, and now I’m world famous and bringing eight figures a month,” that’s a much

you, what you opt in for, is “I’m going to tell you the most important thing: Look, it’s not your art, it’s the artist.” People care about your story, what makes you stand out. If you say, “Well, I’m a dentist, and I’ll clean your teeth better.” Well, there’s a million of those who do. Who’s going to sit there and go to every dentist in town and compare how clean their teeth are? Nobody. But if your dentist is a skydiver, and also carves rocks, and does standup comedy, you’re going to tell all your friends about it. “You’re not going to believe this! While he was giving me laughing gas, the guy was telling me jokes the whole time. He’s awesome!” It’s unique. So, know who you are and what makes you unique, and go embrace those things. Steve: That was fantastic! And I can see amazingly, today’s segment has just completely flown by. But I want to get more into the storytelling for entrepreneurs in tomorrow’s segment. Can we do that? that stuff, I was always doing – I like to say – “stupid stuff.” I’ve jumped out of planes, I’d motorcycle, I’d ride along the side of a car at 84 miles an hour on my rollerblades, wakeboarding, snowboarding, whatever. All these crazy things. You tell one story to people, and they say, “Wait You did what?” If I had a dollar for every time I heard, “You ate the whole thing?” Eventually the stories just pile up. You’ve got people’s curiosity. People want to hear these things.
have to die as an artist before you’re selling that much. Owen now has a course for artists to market themselves, and one of the very first thing he tells
And if I have a small business tip that I can tell you business owners out there that will make your life so much better – and I mean your life, not just your business, although it absolutely applies to your business – is “Be interesting.” There are so many people in every single niche. Well, actually, like here: Thanks to you, one of the people that I connected with recently was Owen, The Pencilneck Geek. This guy sells seven figures worth of art annually. Usually you hear of a starving artist. “Seven figures? What?” Usually you

Please, No Thunderous Applause This Time I trust you’re all doing well with the New Year’s resolutions you crafted a couple of months ago. Ooo, I hear the deafening sound of groans from my readership. At least there are worse sounds – like, for instance, the sound of thunder. Yes, besides watching my weight and learning three new languages, I’m on a year-long campaign to free myself of my longtime phobia about storm sounds. I always wondered why thunder unnerved me. Hypnosis helped me uncover the traumatic childhood event that triggered my fears. A badly timed clap of thunder covered up the sound of the can opener, and all my siblings beat me to the Alpo! Forget Oliver Twist; Charles Dickens should have written about my unfortunate puppyhood. Yes, I know the condition is irrational. If a guy with a powdered wig, knee breeches, and bifocals can fly his kite in a thunderstorm, you’d think a dog could handle a little outdoor rumble while snug in a solidly built house. Of course humans can be silly, too. Yeah, it’s dumb for dogs to think that ripping up cushions, running away from home, or cowering in the laundry room will save them from a bolt of lightning; but humans used to think ducking under a school desk would stop an atomic bomb. (“If only the dinosaurs had a cafeteria table to hide under – that asteroid wouldn’t have made them extinct!”) Before you get too worried about me, I must point out that I
don’t actually freak out or experience a paralyzing meltdown when there’s thunder; but it does mess with my life at the most inopportune times. Fleetwood Mac sang that “Thunder only happens when it’s raining,” but I would offer the opposing view that “Thunder only happens when Manny is taking a glamor selfie.” Oddly, firecrackers and other loud noises don’t bother me. Although, even a whisper of “This would be a good place for Whiskers’ scratching post” would make me jump out of my skin. Although a large percentage of canines have trouble with thunder and other loud noises, humans have not exactly shown a lot of sympathy. Heck, the ancient Norsemen even had Thor, the god of Thunder, in their mythological pantheon. They could’ve had a god of Public Speaking or a god of Tax Day; but, no, they had to do something specifically to agitate Man’s Best Friend. Sometimes it’s the noise that scares dogs, but other times they’re startled by the buildup of static electricity that accompanies a storm. The static angle is so scary because it might give Al Gore the bright idea of replacing fossil fuels with windmills, solar panels, and carpet-scooting Chihuahuas. Seriously, if your four-legged friend has thunder issues, don’t ignore it. Seek advice from your vet or the Humane Society. You’ve got to pick a solution or two, boys; you’ve got to pick a solution or two. (Dickens, I really could have helped your career!)
Manny (full name Emanuel or “Dog With Us”) brought non-stop joy, affection, and energy into the lives of Steve and Michele Sipress for over 13 years. Thankfully, as he got on in years and knew that his time on this Earth was growing short, he poured himself into his writing, leaving many, many columns behind, so that his fans can have the continued pleasure of being entertained and enlightened by him for a long time to come. 4 THINGS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE
DO TO SUCCEED By Dr. Will Moreland
LIFE IS SIMPLY TOO SHORT TO SPEND WITH PEOPLE WHO DO NOT INSPIRE YOU
TO BE YOUR BEST.
Certain behaviors lead to predicable outcomes. Over time, they can have a powerful impact on our lives. Bad habits can slow a person down, decrease productivity, and influence happiness. Good habits can set a person up for great success. So what are common things that successful people do? In truth, there are many different things, but there are several that are remarkably common among all successful people. Here are four:
1 Surround yourself with great people. Leaders ensure that they are shaped by people who have high competence and are a positive influence. If they want to have greatness in life, they surround themselves with great people. If they want to be happy, successful, confident, and influential, they surround themselves with people who are those things. Life is simply too short to spend with people who do not inspire you to be your best.

4 THINGS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO TO SUCCEED
2 Plan for the future. Whether they call it a dream, a mission statement, or a cause, highly successful people have a vision that helps to inspire and drive them. This vision serves as a guide for who they are and who they want to become and will ultimately determine the direction of their life. Successful people do not just have a 5, 10, and 20-year vision, but they also have a plan to get there. As ice hockey star Wayne Gretzky says, “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.”
SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT PURSUING KNOWLEDGE IS NOT A COST, BUT
AN INVESTMENT IN THEIR FUTURE SUCCESS.
and love for what they do. This love for their work allows them to work harder than their competitors and excel at what they do. It’s little wonder that the #1 most repeated piece of advice on ABC’s hit entrepreneurial TV Show, Shark Tank, is to “find something you love to do.”
3
4 Have fun at work. Successful people enjoy what they do at work. They have a passion
Bringing it all together Some of these things may seem fairly minor, but their impact over time can be significant. This is especially true when adopted and executed together. I invite you to examine how you can implement these four things in your life starting today. You will find the difference will be noticeable and remarkable.
Growing up in Compton, California at a time where the drug problem, gang violence and murder rate were at an all-time high, Dr. Will Moreland made a critical CHOICE in his life. He wasn’t going to let his start determine his finish.
Invest in yourself. Learning is critical, and is one of the most important determining factors between where you are now and where you will be in five years from now. Successful people understand that pursuing knowledge is not a cost, but an investment in their future success. There are many ways leaders do this, including reading books, joining forums, and participating in leadership seminars.
