When we first started, I was terribly in debt and we were just a few months away from bankruptcy. We started seeing a boost right away in our business, we took what Steve’s given me and we just started implementing and implementing, and it’s just totally transformed my business. Steve has helped me with my laser focus, he helps me implement, he’s taken my business to a whole new level. We went from a half a million dollars to a million dollars in two years. It’s just an incredible experience to know that where you think you’re just dead and things are horrible, to now anything is possible. I can see taking this to a whole new three or four types of businesses -- it’s going to be huge. Steve is all business, he is an unbelievably smart, brilliant man. I can’t say enough about him. Everything he’s told me, I’ve made so much money it doesn’t matter what it costs. They don’t make enough money in this world that somebody could pay me so I would stop listening to Steve. Steve is the exact reason why I have a retirement fund now. It’s probably illegal how much fun I’m having!”

By the time you are reading this, Election Day 2016 has likely come and gone, and hopefully we have a clear idea of who will be the next President Of The United States. One of Donald Trump’s rules that he lives by – as outlined in his “The Art Of The Deal” – is to “Maximize Your Options.” So whether he won or lost the election, there is no doubt that he will find a way to benefit tremendously from his amazing year-and-a-half campaign. Also whether or not he won or lost the election, every sharp business owner or entrepreneur can also benefit from his campaign – by studying the strategies and tactics that he used to capture the attention of the world and destroy over a dozen of his opponents, and then implementing them ourselves. Trump also made many huge mistakes along the way, and we can also learn a lot from those. Even if you weren’t a regular listener all along the way, every episode of the Lessons Learned From Donald Trump Podcast is still available for you to enjoy. Here are just some of the topics that my co-host Everte Farnell and I discussed and dissected, including real world examples and step-by-step advice on how you can use them to your advantage…
And Many, Many More If you implement just some of the winning strategies of Donald Trump, and avoid the massive mistakes that he made, just watch where your business can be in a short time from now… You can find the Lessons Learned From Donald Trump Podcast on iTunes, or by going to:

“Steve is all business. He is an unbelievably smart, brilliant, brilliant man. I can't say enough about him. Steve has put probably more, I would say, thousands, and thousands, and thousands of dollars... I mean, I probably can't even put a true figure on it, because it keeps coming back, and keeps coming back, just more and more money all the time.”
“One suggestion that Steve gave me, well, without question, put $300,000 more in my bank account. And we are going to be using it forever. This is not a one-time deal. We’re going to be using this idea that Steve helped us with... and we’ll be using it until it doesn't keep working like it is. And so, the value over time could literally be way over even the $300,000 number.”

“He's helped me learn how to market my business, and today I can say that we're more successful than we've ever been… I needed to learn how to market the business better to create more revenue, and that's what Steve has helped me with. The financial difference is considerable. We've probably close to doubled our revenues. We're on track now to do another close to $500,000 more than we did last year. So that's awesome. I do owe all of that to Steve.”

MANNY’S BLOG
November 2016
Howling Frequencies Open It’s a good time to be a Trekkie like me. “Star Trek Beyond” premiered in theaters during the summer, the original TV show celebrated its 50th anniversary on September 8th, and a new streaming Trek series starts on CBS All Access in May. (My own “streaming” experience consists of the neighbor’s surveillance camera catching me christening his new tires, but I digress.) I’m glad the original crew has been lauded for having such a multicultural cast and meeting all sorts of alien species; but, honesty, my Uncle Heinz 57 was all that rolled up in one! Anyway, I think Hollywood keeps dropping the ball. They’ve given us a female captain and a holographic doctor; but they really need to have an all-canine series, maybe “Star Trek: All Dogs Go To Gamma Quadrant.” Think of how much they could save on the sets. They wouldn’t even need sleeping quarters, because the crew members would always be promising, “Yeah, I’ll go to bed as soon as I get through howling at the moon. Wait, there’s another moon. And another…” “Star Trek” always had an optimistic outlook. Maybe my hypothetical new show could use transporter technology to eliminate the need for flea collars. (“200 to beam down, Scotty.”) And wouldn’t the tractor beam make a great pooper scooper? I would want a scientific consultant to maintain the integrity of the show. I mean, as tempting as it to have crew members hanging their heads out the Enterprise windows during warp drive travel…
Of course the intrepid crew would encounter beings who speak a strange, incomprehensible language all their own. No, I don’t mean the Klingons. I mean even weirder. (“I just wuv my widdle Fluffums. Who’s the prettiest, smartest widdle kittie cat in all the universe? You are! You are!”) Dialogue would have to be tweaked from the existing shows. “Remember: set phasers to stun” would become “Remember: set gaseous emissions to stun.” Altered dialogue? Yeah, that brings up the four-legged version of Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy. His famous line would have to be changed to “He’s dead, Jim – um, er, I mean, he’s gone to frolic and play on the farm, with all the other dogs who have disappeared over the years.” The Spock-like character would have to be quite certain of his self-control before employing the Vulcan “mind meld,” or there could be disastrous results. (“I see that your secret desire is to take over this entire corner of the galaxy. I can help! Let me please you! Let me please you! *Pant. Pant.*”) I hear that the CBS All Access show is going for a darker tone. I could imagine some doozies for my show. The program’s hightech replicator would create a bountiful feast – and then blow a circuit before creating a can opener! Scarier still: a story arc about that alien collective The Borg. These cyborgs would be half-canine and half-machine – half vacuum cleaner, that is! Brrrr! Until next month, live nine lives and pros—er, live long and prosper.

Troy Howard REVIEW-GENERATING
GENIUS
Steve Sipress: Troy Howard, fantastic to have you here on the Rhino Daily Podcast! Troy Howard: Hey, it’s great to be here with you, Steve.
Steve: It’s not only great for you to be here, but it’s really going to be great for my listeners, because business owners… I pound it into everyone’s head and they
don’t need me to tell them… Everyone knows that it’s so much more powerful for your prospects to hear something good about you from someone who is not you. It’s enough of getting a pizza box, which of course says on it, “You’ve tried the rest, now try the best.” Nobody even looks that, or believes you, or anything. But if a neighbor

goes, “Hey, you’ve got to try Joe’s Pizza, it’s the best,” now we’re talking. I love the fact that you, somehow – I’m sure you know, but I have no concept of how – you came up and programmed the whole software thing that helps business owners to collect reviews, get great reviews, and then it automatically posts these reviews to all over the place, so everyone sees them and they start getting calls and making
EXPERT INTERVIEW
We’ve got to figure out not only how to get a review, but how to get a review right at that moment, when the customer is absolutely excited about you, so that you have the most powerful, believable review possible. lots of money. My first question: Is how did you come up with even the idea that you were going to start helping business owners, to make it easy for them to get these reviews that everyone knows are like gold? Troy: We’ve been in business… We’re a family-owned business; it’s my dad, my brother and I, we’re the three owners. We started it about 16 years ago. So we’ve been working with small business owners for 16 years, helping them in their marketing, in growing their business. And it was just one of those needs that always came up with our clients. Everyone was saying to us, “I know reviews are important, I know I need reviews, but they’re so hard to get.” They’re like, “I tried everything under the sun, I even started bribing my clients to try and get them go leave me a review, and no one will do that.”
can relate to exactly what you’re saying. In the old days – the old days, even a month before, and now to the listeners it’s yesterday, because today they’ve already found you, they hopefully will wait to the end of this podcast, they’re going over to your site getting a free trial, and their miserable, frustrating life of not getting great reviews easily and post them all over is over. Here it’s how it worked; I would be like, “Hey, can you make me a review?” So, it was like, “Oh.” What are they going to do? Are they going to shoot a video? And then what? They’ll record the video, now what? You want me to put it up on YouTube, where do I put it? Where do I host it? Now, I’ve got to get a link to you, how do I put it up on my website, do I put it up on Yelp, do I put it up on Google, where do I put it?” You take care of all that stuff. It’s just like, Bam, they press one button on their phone, they say a few words, they press another button and, bang! The magic happens. That’s just-- on behalf of all business owners, I just thank you for that.
November 2016
Troy: Oh yeah, absolutely. And that was the thing. We literally looked at it, we said, “There’s got to be an easier way to do this. There’s got to be a way to get more powerful reviews, too.” Because a lot of times, you ask somebody for a review, and first off single digits are actually going to go and do it for you. And if they do a dear review for you, most likely they’re going to do like three, four, five, a week later, something like that. And the excitement, the emotion of what a great service you’ve provided for them, it’s just not going to translate true. So we were just like, “We’ve got to figure out not only how to get a review, but how to get a review right at that moment, when the customer is absolutely excited about you, so that you have the most powerful, believable review possible.” And we had to basically invent a software to do it. And that’s what you talked about, was creating this software, we had to do it. It took us about two years to build it.
Steve: Well, it’s interesting you say that, I’m glad you brought that up, because we’ve got to put that in - I at least I don’t know how you feel, but I’m going to let people know – don’t ever do that. Now, you never want to pay for a review. You never want it known, you never want to pay for a review. And think about it; if you find out that the plumber you decided to use because they had reviews, and then you find out that those were paid for, you’re livid. Don’t ever do a fake name, or a fake person, or have your brother say, “I’m a customer.” Get real reviews. But, along those lines, I

EXPERT INTERVIEW
Steve: Two years. And now, thankfully that you’ve built it and tested it, and it works fantastically for all those two years, the beauty is for all of us that are small business owners, we can now just go start using it. And immediately – I’m telling you my experience – immediately getting results. I sent it out to-- I didn’t even do it right. I just said like, to all my clients, “Hey, can anyone do this?” And I still had a few people who immediately did it. I’m guessing that the better way to do it is to individually, just like in the old days. Someone would say something nice, you’re like, “Hang on, can I write that down?” I remember 10 years ago, I paid 150 bucks for a flipcam. Remember that? There were no I-phones. I had a flip-cam, and somebody, after meeting with me, would say, “Wow, that was so helpful. Thank you. I don’t know how to thank you.” I’m like, “Time out. Hang on.” Take out the flip-cam, I’m like, “Can
you just say that, what you just said, right on the camera?” Then of course, they would all get befuddled, and go like, “Oh, wait a minute, I didn’t do my hair today, I don’t know how I look”, and, “Wait a minute”, “ooh huh”, and, “I didn’t do my make up”. And I would come up with the line, and it always worked. I would always say, “Do me a favor; let me just record it, and later on I’ll have this transcribed, and I won’t even show the video to anybody.” “Oh, okay, yeah, then you can do that.” And then I would show them the video, 30 seconds later, after they record it, and almost invariably they would go, “Oh yeah, that’s fine. I look fine. You can use the video.” But come on, even that, going through all that, you’ve taken all that out of the equation. Now you just say, “Can you click at this link and do it?” Troy: Yeah, exactly. I guess we should let them know, this is basically what we built with an app that you
6 I RHINO MONTHLY I www.SteveSipress.com
download on your phone, in your tablet. Steve: An app? I love it. Troy: Exactly. Steve: There’s got to be an app for that. Troy: Right. And you instantly can collect video, audio or written reviews right from your customer. And like what you mentioned, you can send it to your customer too. My preference is always get it to him right there live, when you’re in front of him, you just completed that service, and all you’ve got to do is say, “Hey”, because they’re going to complement you anyways, like, “You did an amazing job cleaning my carpet.” “Oh, thank you so much. Would you take 30 seconds and just give me a real quick review? That will really help me help my other clients.” And then, boom, you just
EXPERT INTERVIEW
literally record the video right then, and as you said, it’s done. Once they hit the submit button, those video reviews, audio, written reviews are instantly showing up on your website with a click of your button, they can be pushed to all of your social media sites. You don’t have to worry about like, “How do I promote this through my social media?” And then our system, with us, we then take those reviews for you, and then we optimize them and submit them to all the search engines. And that’s one of the really big, key components, because when people are deciding whether to use a business, 70% of them will go online and check out reviews for that business, before they’ll ever do business with them. So, by us submitting those reviews to the search engines, to Google, and Bing and Yahoo!, it actually helps you control that experience. So when they’re looking you up online, they’re finding your 5 star powerful video reviews of your business. Huge difference, it’s just a game changer. Steve: Good point. We didn’t even cover, I guess I should have started out by trying to convince people how valuable it is to get reviews. But come on now, I’m just going to give credit to the listeners of the Rhino Daily podcast, that you know how valuable it is. In fact, maybe we can talk, we’re nearing the end of today’s episode, but maybe tomorrow, we can talk a lot more about specifically – I know that the king of all the search engines is Google, for local businesses, it really helps the ones that show up in that little section there with the maps and all this, I always look and I always see that they tend to have the ones coming up near the top of those, oh, this one has 32 reviews, 28 reviews, 45 reviews. And if you’re like me, I’m going all the way back – all the way back, 10, 15 years in the internet world, that’s all the way back – but I’m going back to the EBay days, where reviews, feedback, it means a lot. Or
November 2016
Once they hit the submit button, those video reviews, audio, written reviews are instantly showing up on your website with a click of your button, they can be pushed to all of your social media sites. Amazon, anything. And I buy a lot of stuff on this Amazon. I love the fact that I click and it comes to my door in two days. Come on. But I’m not buying anything without-- I know that the description and the company is going to say that this is great, it does this and that, whatever, in their website, I’m sure. But I want to see what real people say, “Hey, blah blah, but make sure you get a size bigger, because of this and that.” I want to read the reviews. And to the listeners, you’ve got to put yourself on that end of the situation, on that end of the cash register, and understand that that’s how your prospects would think the same way you do; I want reviews about this plumber, this heating and air guy, this doctor, this lawyer, this whomever, and this app-- Let’s say you don’t use Troy’s app. Let’s talk more in general just in case, for some bizarre reason, they say, “Well, free, gee, I don’t want to do that. And it’s too easy; I don’t want to do that. I want to do it the hard way.” It doesn’t matter how you do it. You’ve got to get
reviews, and you’ve got to put them up on all the websites so they’ll be found there. The most powerful tool you can use for prospects, to convince themselves how great you are. Am I off base on that, Troy? Troy: No, you’re absolutely right. We are a review-driven society. That is the first thing that people go to, when they’re trying to make a purchase decision, is reviews. Steve: So, let’s get into it. We hit the end of today’s episode; can we get into, tomorrow, about where are good places to put reviews? Once you get them, what’s a good place that you ought to have them showing up? Can we talk about that tomorrow? Troy: Yeah, absolutely. ADVICE FROM THE Greatest Showman on Earth By Lee Milteer P.T. Barnum, father of “The Greatest Show on Earth,” had an amazing talent for packaging and promoting entertainment. He was also hard-working and determined to succeed. Below, I share some of P.T. Barnum’s Commandments for Success. In his autobiography, Barnum gives some advice for achieving success, which is just as valuable today as it was when it was written:
2. Persevere. “How many have almost reached the goal of their ambition, but losing faith in themselves have relaxed their energies, and the golden prize been lost forever?” asks Barnum. “Perseverance is sometimes but another word for self-reliance.”
I hope you take Barnum’s advice to heart. Not only was he an expert Showman, he was also an incredibly successful entrepreneur, whose practical advice can assist us all.
3. Whatever you do, do with all your might. Barnum emphasizes that hard work breeds success. “Work at it, if necessary, early and late, in season and out of season, not leaving a stone unturned, and never deferring for a single hour that which can be done just as well now,” he advises.
1. Avoid running into debt “There is scarcely anything that drags a person down like debt,” Barnum states. He encourages saving money. “There is nothing animate or inanimate that will work so faithfully as money when placed at interest, well secured. It works night and day, and in wet or dry weather.”
4. Depend on your own personal exertions. “No man has a right to expect to success in life unless he understands his business, and nobody can understand his business thoroughly unless he learns it by personal application and experience,” Barnum writes. Understanding what you do is more important to your success than “luck.”

HOW TO LOVE WHAT YOU DO And not compromising, not dumbing it down, not holding back – that is what has made all the difference for me. My advice: maybe beginners have to compromise a little at first. But as fast as you can, give yourself the gift of saying NO when it comes to working with, or selling to, people you hate dealing with. Because if you have good material, and are creating an interesting flavor that YOU like, it’s better to go find people with the same taste and get all of them into your stuff, vs. making stuff you don’t like, just to appease people you don’t like, for the sake of service or whatever.
By Colin Theriot
I never invite idiots to my house. ~ Elizabeth Montagu I’m not saying they don’t squeak in from time to time, but I try to run my “Cult Of Copy” Facebook group as an idiot-free environment. And I’ve tried to create products and content at my own level, rather than aiming at newbies and beginners and people who maybe aren’t smart enough to be in business. Because though there have been times in my life that I have had to serve people I didn’t want to – to cater to people I found idiotic – because I needed their money, or their network, or some other boon. But not in my group. Some people have said that I create a hostile environment. In the same way a gardener is hostile to weeds, yes. And the main goal there is mainly that I
didn’t want to find myself administrating or policing a cesspool of mediocrity and foolishness that one can find in a ton of other bullshit, clownshoes ass-barrels. If I am going to build my business around a community, and make my living serving that community, then by definition, it has to be a community I WANT to be a part of. Every day. All day.
Don’t work for people that don’t get you or what you do. Instead, use the time you save by refusing them to find better customers and clients. You’ll thank yourself later. But you can thank ME right away (if you find this advice useful)... Did you?
