Plymouth City Centre Company Plymouth City Centre Company is a business led partnership working to create a more profitable trading environment for Plymouth City Centre. Working in partnership with Plymouth City Council, their main purpose is to drive retail trading performance and re-assert Plymouth City Centre as the region’s premier shopping and leisure destination. The City Centre Company is a valued member of the College’s Employer Endorsement Scheme, which allows a collaborative approach between the two organisations. This scheme not only supports the College’s employability agenda, providing students with access to activities and work opportunities that enhance their employability skills, but also means employers have access to a pool of work-ready young people.

Eleanor Gregson and Anton Zenkov, business students at the College, gained part-time employment as Street Team Members with The City Centre Company, following a joint recruitment process between the City Centre Company and the College’s employability centre, theworkspace. Eleanor spoke about her experience:

“Gaining part-time work can be hard but the College has helped me gain access to an employer and a fantastic work opportunity. I know this will help develop my customer service skills and also improve my CV and future job prospects.”
