Employer Seminars We offer a full calendar of employer seminars throughout the year, all of which aim to inform and support the business community. From marketing essentials through to presentation skills and effective networking, our seminars are delivered by industry professionals and are linked to further workshops, training and study wherever possible. Seminars are held in either our employability centre, theworkspace, or in our training restaurant at Kings Road. All delegates have access to full presentation hand outs, links to further support, buffet and refreshments, and the opportunity to network with other industry professionals. Ian commented: “The benefits of Skills for Life are immeasurable as it removes fears and long held beliefs about a person’s own ability. I have seen first-hand how people who have lacked confidence have become more confident when all they needed was extra support.” Ian continued: “On completion of this course I have seen a real increase in the self-confidence of individuals, which has motivated them to enrol onto other courses, and has enabled them to really improve their communication skills and levels of confidence.

Higher education (HE) short courses are part-time, universitylevel courses which can be tailored to your business. They allow individuals to develop higher level skills to support their careers without having to commit to a full qualification. In partnership with Plymouth University, we can also offer HE modules from any of our full or part-time foundation degrees, or develop new modules to specifically meet your needs. On successful completion of a university approved HE short course students are awarded credits, which may be used towards other higher education qualifications.
