Frontline Image Ltd Frontline Image Ltd is a Plymouth-based, clothing solutions company, specialising in the design, manufacture and embellishment of high-quality clothing. Frontline is now benefitting from work experience students from City College Plymouth. Working in partnership with this local business, students are also gaining technical skills and knowledge as well as real life business experience. This partnership has been extremely successful with students gaining paid, summer internships at Frontline. Frontline specialise in supplying screen-printed and embroidered clothing. Based in Plymouth, the company work across a variety of clothing markets including corporate clothing, retail, promotional and event merchandising, creating the prints in-house from initial design to final delivery.
Two Business Accounting students, Charlie-Ray Easton and Gerry-Lee Blue, expressed an interest in gaining work experience in the design and print of street wear. The College has a long standing relationship with Frontline, having supplied training to its staff over several years and so they were the obvious choice when looking for work experience opportunities. Charlie was recruited by Frontline and undertook a bespoke training programme for four weeks, designed by the company, and this then led to paid, summer employment. This ensured that Charlie gained experience in design, production, distribution and business support areas of the company, allowing him to acquire extensive knowledge of many aspects of the business.
