Volunteering and the Japanese Tsunami Caroline Pover has been involved in volunteering and charitable activities since she was seven years old. This talk focuses on her current activities on a remote peninsula in the northeast of Japan and how she is helping people who were affected by the earthquake and tsunami. The Arctic Jubilee Challenge From a young age, Oli Milroy had always been interested in expeditions and through his work as Project Manager for Education Through Expeditions, he was fortunate to take part in the Arctic Jubilee Challenge this year. Hear how Oli prepared for this gruelling adventure, his role as PR Manager for the expedition and also how his involvement in various charity projects led to him being chosen to act as a torch bearer for the Olympic flame. An inspiring person, Oli can help you to realise your goals and will offer advice on how to achieve them. This really is a talk not to be missed!
Team Work and Achieving Success Come along to this fantastic session run by Dr Antony Jinman, Polar Explorer. Find out how Antony became an adventure tour guide at 23 and then an expedition leader at the age of 25, travelling extensively all over the world. Through his years of travelling, Antony has become an informed and passionate conservationist.
