Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures 2021-2022 School Year Saint Joseph Academy families, We are excited to welcome students back to campus on August 13th for a new school year. Attached is a map illustrating how drop-off/pick-up will be working at St. Joseph Academy. With that, please review the important information below regarding the drop-off/pick-up procedures. •
Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30am through the school’s main entrance

First period BEGINS at 8:10am on Tuesdays-Thursdays. SJA recommends all students arrive at school no later than 8:00am to allow students to get to first period on time.

Each Monday there is a faculty meeting in the morning and first period BEGINS at 9:30am. SJA recommends all students arrive at school no later than 9:15am. Students may be dropped off earlier and can wait in the courtyard, as their will be supervision.

Please see the attached map for the two drop-off and pick-up locations on campus. Please follow the route as listed. For the safety of students and other drivers, NO TURN-AROUNDS and NO DROP-OFF/PICK-UP in the Admin Parking lot.

AFTER SCHOOL PICK-UP: Cars are not allowed on campus for pick up until 3:20pm. The front gates will be closed and cars will line up on Ringgold St and Palm Blvd until 3:20pm. There is routinely a long line for the first 15 minutes, and if your schedule permits we recommend coming to pick up your student(s) at 3:45pm to avoid the congestion and lines. Please text or call your child when you’re arriving on campus so they will be ready to meet you at a designated pick-up location.

For after school pickup please follow the same route as morning drop-off. AROUNDS and NO PICK-UPS in the admin parking lot.

Students parking on campus must have a parking permit. Please visit or call the main office for more information.

The Middle Division parking lot and the Calle Retama entrance are solely for UTRGV’s use during the school day. There is a fence that restricts thru traffic and access between the two campuses. Please use the main entrance for all SJA business.
