INFORMATION FOR SENIOR
RETREAT 2023
You must be at St. Joseph Academy by 7:00 AM (Ted Gray Pavilion) with your luggage. The bus will leave St. Joseph Academy at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023. Everyone please be on time!
ALL SCHOOL REGULATIONS/POLICIES WILL BE ENFORCED!
Permission forms and waivers (SJA & Camp Eagle) must be submitted electronically before boarding the buses. PLEASE EAT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE BUS. No food or drinks allowed on the bus.
Packing List
What to bring / Not to bring -- Be prepared to be outside and get dirty!
Comfortable and weather appropriate clothing for 3 days – shirts (no tank tops), heavy jacket, sweater, and/or sweatshirt, pajamas, socks & undergarments for each day, etc.
Jeans, preferably denim or khaki (for comfort in wearing a seat harness on the high ropes course)
Tennis shoes or outdoor shoes. NO SANDALS on the course! You can wear sandals or flip-flops at the other times. No dangling or excessive jewelry (safety hazard)
Make sure that you are traveling with the proper travel documents; Mexican citizens are to have their passports and visas. US citizens need an acceptable picture ID. Smoking, alcohol & drug consumption is PROHIBITED during the entire program.
Additional packing items:
(Please note: the activities you will be participating in are outdoors and you might get dirty … pack accordingly. Also it may be cold; bring a good jacket, scarves, gloves, etc. to stay warm.)
*Bedding – sleeping bag or twin sheets with blanket and pillow
*Towel and washcloth
*Toiletry items (toothbrush, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, comb, brush, deodorant, etc.)
*Some money for lunch on Wednesday and for a snack on the way home on Friday –approximately $40.00 will be sufficient There is a store at camp that sells snacks and souvenirs during free time.
*If you wear contacts, please bring cases, solutions, etc. and your glasses.
*Please pack your own medicines in their original containers; please let the chaperones know if you are taking prescription medicines as well.
***IF YOU CAN’T BEAR TO PART WITH IT, DON’T BRING IT.
***DO NOT BRING FOOD FOR THE CABINS; IT IS NOT PERMITTED.
***USE OF CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES IS NOT PERMITTED AT CAMP. CELL PHONES & OTHER DEVICES WILL BE COLLECTED UPON ARRIVAL AT CAMP EAGLE.
