December 2020

Dear Families, Greetings from Saint Joseph Academy (SJA)! It’s hard to believe we are only a few weeks away from the Christmas break. While we are rapidly approaching the end of the semester and the end of 2020, we have already begun preparations for the 2021-2022 school year. We wanted to share some important information with you regarding the Tuition-Assistance process for next school year. If your family currently receives a Tuition-Assistance Award and you would like to be considered again for next year, your family must complete the Tuition-Assistance Application through the FACTS online portal. Tuition-Assistance awards are not guaranteed from year-to-year and you must complete the online application to be considered. SJA is blessed to be able to award over $300,000 in tuition-assistance each year. Close to 25% of SJA students receive some level of tuition-assistance, with the average award being approximately $2,500. The application for tuition-assistance is open now and we recommend you begin the application as soon as possible. The deadline to be considered for tuitionassistance is Friday, February 26, 2021. Q: How is Tuition-Assistance awarded? A: Based on the information you supply, FACTS creates a report that assesses your family's ability to pay for Saint Joseph Academy tuition. Saint Joseph Academy uses the report as a guideline for awarding tuition assistance.

Q: Is my personal financial information shared with anyone in anyway? A: No. All information you send to FACTS or SJA is kept confidential, as is all information pertaining to your family's tuition-assistance request.

Q: Is tuition-assistance automatically renewed each year? A: No. Saint Joseph Academy requires families to reapply for tuition-assistance each year. There is no automatic renewal of tuition-assistance.

Q: What is the average award amount? Is it possible to get a tuition-assistance award that covers 100% of tuition? A: The average tuition-assistance amount is about $2,500. SJA does not issue any awards that cover 100% of tuition through the Tuition-Assistance Program.
