Freedom Of Expression By Jelle, Stan, Ingmar & Jim, V1at
were shots fired and explosives went off, which from 10.30 was surrounded by special units of the French police. The police had much help from an employee of the printing business. He was in the same building as the hostage. He was hiding behind boxes in the printing office. Via his phone he kept in touch with the police. The two brothers came out shooting. In the end the police shot the terrorists without making other victims.
Terrorists have attacked the offices of magazine Charlie Hebdo. It was a revenge attack. There are many protests and vigils over the attack. Millions of people have gathered at a central square in Paris for a silent vigil. The attack took place as the magazine was holding its weekly meeting. There were 12 people killed including the top editor, prominent cartoonist and police officers. In Holland tens of thousands of people have expressed their disgust over the country about the terrorist attack on the French weekly Charlie Hebdo. In at least 34 municipalities protesters took to the streets. Also Prime Minister Mark Rutte hold a speech in Amsterdam following the attack in Paris. A few days later in Dammartin-en-GoĂŤle was a hostage of the same brothers that attacked the magazine of Charlie Hebdo. In a printing office
At the same time a Jewish supermarket in Paris has been shoot and people were taken hostage. Some people where dead and wounded. The terror suspects shot by the Belgian police were planning to abduct senior police and then behead. Belgium has a higher percentage jihadists than other countries. During the raids in Belgium, several police uniforms have been found. That may point to the Belgian justice that the terrorists wanted to carry out attacks dressed as an agent. In the twelve raids in Jean, Verviers and other Belgian places besides the uniforms were also four Kalashnikovs, small arms, ammunition and found a large sum of money. In addition, explosives, fake documents and mobile phones found. Many people all over the world were shocked and afraid. The message of Prime Minister Rutte is that we must not be afraid: Hands of our freedom. That is the only right answer. Our opinion about things that happened in France: We believe that things that happened are unacceptable.

Dear readers, On behalf of our Freshman group, I would like to thank you for reading the second edition of our St. Martin’s Courier. It is our paper, because it is not just one teacher and a couple of pupils: all first year students from V1at and B1ct contributed in producing the stories you are about to read. The newsroom worked on their stories during one of their weekly Maatwerkuren, to broaden their horizons and to improve their English writing skills. I want to congratulate them all on a job well done and we should not forget that these pupils have only just started their bilingual adventure. This Editor in chief helped them along the way, but did not interfere in their writing process or what they were writing about. This also means that there might be mistakes in grammar and spelling, but I hope you will agree that this in no way affects the quality of the articles. Let me conclude by mentioning our digital component on Facebook. Here you will find more (up-to-date) stories, pictures and videos about our bilingual department. We love your likes and we appreciate your comments, so please like our page on www.facebook.com/StMartinsCourier !

Money Matters By Tim & Stijn, V1at
We interviewed 4 people about economics and these are the answers of an average first class student: How many pocket money do you receive per week? â‚Ź4,Where do you spend your money on: Collect. If you get 50000 euro what would you do with it? Something with gaming.
Now we also asked how much something costs if they know: How many cost 1000 liters of water? The answer is 0,95 cents, but people think 50 euro.
Talking about money‌
Bill gates Bill gates was born in the USA in October the 28th 1955. He is the richest man of the world. Between 2009 and 2014 his wealth has more than doubled from $40 to $82 billion. And between 2013 and 2014 he earned around $15 billion. He earned most of his money by working at Microsoft.
How many cost a trip from Maastricht to Amsterdam with the train? It costs 25 euro. People think 18 euro. How many cost a ticket for a match for Arsenal? Answer is 119 euro. People think it is 50 euro. So the conclusion is that people think water is much more expensive, a ticket from Arsenal is much cheaper and the first class students have a nearly correct insight of what a train ticket costs.

The Era of the Selfie By Nikki B. & Frederike, B1ct
Taking selfies is a fun way to show the world your trust, personality and fashion sense. The word “selfie” first appeared in an online forum in 2002 and in 2013 it was named the Oxford Dictionary Word of the Year, defined as follows: “A photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.” Everybody is doing it. Here are some tips and tops. How do you take selfies? Instead of taking the picture head-on, experiment with different angles to show off your features. If you turn your head a few degrees to the right or left, your features will appear less flat. Holding the camera slightly higher than your head so that it's pointing down on you will make your eyes look bigger and help so you don’t have a "pig nose." Stretch your arm; hold your phone in a good way; take a good pose; look at the camera; smile!!!! Which apps do you need? After that you can make your selfie in a beautiful way. That can you do with apps:
FaceTune: helps to remove the bumps in your face. Maybe not for everyday use, but if you have a nice profile picture for social network need, it is useful if friends do not ever talk about that one pimple or yellow teeth. The app (available for iPhone and iPad), you can edit selfies. You can each photo from yourself or others simply edit it. the end result looks nice ‘smoothed’. So you can make skin smoother, wrinkle removal, extra hair implantation or right away, whiten teeth and remove red eye. After editing your selfie share you photo on social media. The app contains a lot of filters and functions even tan hairs, make wider smile and applying makeup. B612 : is made by the company ‘achter line’, a popular messaging app in Japan. This selfie app looks right and makes it very easy to create a beautiful selfie yourself. When you start the app you see any filter, which often turn flattering. In total there are 43 filters which you can choose any. You can also add a vignette feature so a more dramatic effect. And finally, you can create photo collages selfies: choose a photo collage layouts, tap three or four times on the screen and you got a nice combination. B612 is named from the book "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a classic children's book that appeals to adults. The 43 filters link in the app to the moment when the little prince one day looked at 43 sunsets. That seems far-fetched, but believe us, even without this background is B612 just easy to use. Just click and you photogenic head is in full glory on social media. Snap Dash : Think of stand-up comedy and combine that with making selfies. That's the idea of Snap Dash. This app allows for spontaneous group photos and self-portraits by giving an exercise. Nearly 80 percent of the photos are taken at Snap Dash through the front camera, so that it makes clear that there are a lot of selfies.

You choose one of more than a thousand snaptions commands, for example: "You're surfing a giant wave and meanwhile trying to eat a hamburger." Or, "You're a saber-toothed tiger, which is frozen in the ice." If everyone in the same group is trying to imitate, that delivers guaranteed a hilarious photo.
Extreme Selfies
Frontback : Belgian app, which lets you both a photo and your own face can shoot through the front camera. So you use both smartphone cameras at the same time. The photos will be put under each other, so you combine a selfie with your views at that time. It is also possible to take two pictures with the same camera, so two selfies.
Selfie stick Selfie fan? Then you can’t miss the selfie stick! Screw the digital camera (up to 500 grams) or smartphone on the stick, slide it out to the desired length and bring the whole family, friends, or the beautiful landscape or buildings in the background image. No more heads are cut off halfway or only images of those magnificent mountains, with selfie stick is the perfect photo or video in a snap.

The Hunger Games - Mockingjay By Floor, B1ct
Summary of the movie: Katniss Everdeen is in District 13 after she shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage. Director: Writers: Cast: Best Song:
Francis Lawrence Peter Craig, Danny Strong and Suzanne Collins (who wrote the books) Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and others. "Yellow Flicker Beat" from Lorde (I liked another song “the hanging tree” much more, the tune stays in your head)
The 3rd movie from the trilogy The Hunger Games is Mockingjay Part 1. The second part comes out in 2015. I can’t wait! I read the book and looked up pictures from behind the scenes. In Part 2 there is more action than part 1. I became a fan after I saw Mockingjay part1. I searched things up, and if you don’t you probably will not understand the movie. Read the books! They tell more in the books. Some scenes in the books were probably not important for the movie. They focus on the rebellion and the hijacking.
When I saw the new Peeta, I sat on the edge of my seat. The movie soundtrack makes it worse. My cinema buddies beside me, pinched my skin a lot. Peeta could not keep his hands off of Katnis, almost choking her. Peeta’s fingers lock to her throat. He has been hijacked. In the books, they don’t tell much about the hijacking. There is also action in the movie. The rebels take action against the Capitol. Fire, bombs, they use everything. The action grows in part 2. The rebellions use Katnis as a leader called the Mockingjay. The Mockingjay gives the districts hope. They also use it as a symbol. What I found less was that there were no games. The trilogy is named the hunger games, but in the 3th movie there were no games. In Hunger Games and Catching Fire (2nd movie from the hunger games) is about the games. The hunger games is a game that the Capitol organises. The Capitol is the boss of Panem; all the districts and the Capitol. Every year, one boy and one girl (12-18 years) in a district have to play the deadly games. They are put in a arena where girls and boys have to kill each other to win the games. I recommend the 1st and the 2nd films/books from The Hunger Games, because the games are so tensive. The 3rd is also amazing, but not to start with: See or read the first part first..

Movie Reviews By Lynn & Fleur, V1at
By Sten, B1ct
Our article is about the top 3 movies that we like. The movies are about animation, action and comedy. We are going to give our own opinions about it, because we like to watch them.
Pieter Post – The Movie (children)
Hangover 3 (comedy) We really like the movie, because every morning they woke up in another city and they don’t know where they are. There is also a little bit of action in it. The 4 guys are kidnapped and 1 of them will be killed if they don’t do the mission. If you want to know how it ends, you need to watch it by yourself.
***
James Bond (action) We also like this movie, because we love to watch action movies. James Bond his spy name is 007. He is doing missions and it is very dangerous. He has to rescue people, but not everyone knows that he is James Bond. That can bring him in danger. He goes undercover. Many times there are people who
The most popular mail-man of the whole world is back with a new adventure. Pieter participates in a talent show. But….who is going to bring the post… and does Pieter like it to be in the talent show? It is a great movie for the little children (7/8 years) but for older people is it mostly boring. I didn’t like the movie that much, because it is for the little children. But my little brother liked it. I give the movie a 7.8 (for the little children).
The Lego Movie (children)
will get him. It is a really tense movie. ****
Ratatouille (animation) We like this movie, because it is funny. It is not real. It can’t happen in real life. That’s why we like it. There is a rat and he has a hole in a kitchen of a restaurant. There is a man in the kitchen and he can’t cook. The rat can control the chef movements. Than the chef is a really good chef. It
An ordinary Lego-worker, thought to be THE chosen one. He is asked to help the people, with the quest to defeat the evil! But everyone thinks he is a loser, will the worker succeed to save the Lego universe? the movie is fun for children of 010, there are a lot of jokes in it that are really good, it is full of action. So you will not fall asleep. I give the movie a 7.8.

The TTO First Year Experience The following article was written by three pupils about their introduction at Sintermeerten in general and TTO in particular. By Iris, B1ct
Masterclasses. When you want to go to Sintermeerten you probably did the masterclasses and went to some "Open dagen". These are there so you can join us and see how this school works and if you would fit in by feeling comfortable here. The masterclasses and the open days are almost the same. At the "Open Dagen" you see a few short lessons of 20+/- minutes where you can do something yourself at most of them, they let you see how different it is from other schools. The same as what they do at the masterclasses, only, with masterclasses you do more with other children. Each school has something different, right? Preparing. Before we got our first introduction day you could already read stuff on the site about TTO. You got a mail from the teachers, because TTO isn`t just getting normal lessons, almost everything is different because you need to have all your books in English. In the mail you saw what you had to do or pay extra to do this, so we had to write a mail of about 800 words why you wanted to do TTO and why they had to take you for it. In this mail you also had to introduce yourself by letting them know who you were and what your
character is like by showing your hobbies and daily routines. When you were finished with that you had to send it to the teachers because they needed it. You may do this in Dutch because you maybe don’t have that much contact with English or American daily things yet. The first introduction day. This day was before school actually started and we got to know each other by saying things we like to do and talking about who were also at our old school. At least this was kind of the plan but we were only talking to people we already knew and that was the day we all look back at because we will never be so quiet as we were then, ever again. ď Š We had to fill in a paper about what we expected and so did our parents, but they were in another room. We walked through the school and saw some teachers. We took our school picture for our school pass and went back to the classroom. Then you had to talk with one of the teachers in another room about the paper we wrote and about how we thought it was going to be. The second introduction day. This was the first day after the summer holiday and we didn`t do that much. We were just handing out our diaries and talking while the time flew by. We had three of these days in our normal school week but they were all different.

The third introduction day.
By Sean, B1ct
The second day of our school week. We went to a building in Schimmert were we played a little game with both of the TTO classes and then took a nice picture at the stairs. Inside, we all waited for each other and had to sit at the tables. We could choose between chocolates and if you had the same you were in the same team. We first had to make some music with two tubings per person. You had to beat them at each other in a special way at the rhythm. We finished early, so helped others or hung out. Inside they were baking things we could eat later on and outside they were doing the interviews and having fun in the rain.
Teachers
Some were dancing with the groups together which was pretty fun to watch. Then it started raining so we had a break and watched a movie with everybody in the building. They stopped the movie for a few minutes because we got an ice cream and then we were hanging around until we got picked up by our family. The fourth introduction day. The third day of school. We had a sports day which the rest of the school had a day before us, when we were somewhere else. In teams you could play table tennis and blowing up balloon up. In the other one you had to jump and play hockey. We ended the day by throwing a bucket of water over Mr. van Roekel for the ALS ice bucket challenge.
The teachers are quite nice and helpful. Although a few are grumpy, most of the teachers are great. And of course the teachers talk English because you are doing TTO and you speak English back. Some teachers speak better English than others. My favourite lessons are French, English, History, and of course P.E . “Okay” Lessons are Geography, Music, religious education, Drawing and Handicraft. This is my opinion so do not be mad .
By Darja, B1ct
So What does tto mean? TTO means that you do all the lessons in English (except Dutch, French). Is it difficult? In the beginning it´s very difficult, but after one month it´s pretty easy. When you don’t know the word in English you can explain the word. May you speak Dutch? No, it’s forbidden to speak Dutch in the classroom. When you speak Dutch you might get punished. Books? Your books are all in English except Dutch and French. The meaning of tto is: TTO is an abbreviation for “tweetalig onderwijs” Bilingual Education (TTO) exists in the Netherlands since 1989.

Our Little Victorians By Dylano & Faysel, B1ct
On the 5th of November, the theatre company Phileas Fogg came to our school. They are people from England who come to schools and let you feel how the children lived in the Victorian age. These are the opinions of two people who did the performance It was an amazing evening. The people from Phileas fogg are very nice and they are very good at acting. It was very nice. We learned some history and how to act. We started in the changing room where they came into the changing room with a lot of noise and gave us some “special” make-up. We needed to yell till we were in the assembly hall. We had to sit on the floor in front of Peter and Emma (the two actors from England). We were divided in two groups. The group with Peter should DIE (in the Victorian age) one of us was in that group the other was “lucky”. It was an evening full of fun. We like the performance a lot and also the people from Phileas fogg: they were very nice to us. This is our mark for the whole evening: 9.

This is Callington Calling
The former B2at group visited Callington Community College in beautiful Cornwall (UK) in November. During their exchange, pupils and teachers kept us posted with Callington Calling... A special shout out to Esra for sharing her personal diary entries. Friday – Sunday November 7th – 9th
Here is our first blog from England. The students are probably still sleeping after two busy days, but teachers never sleep of course. Here is a short recap of our first two days. Our adventure started in front of the theatre in Heerlen around 16:00 on Friday. Our pupils said good bye to their loved ones and together we walked to the railway station. With loads of bags and suitcases we boarded the train to Schiphol. As always, the students were really quiet during the next two hours. After checking in, we had some time left to eat and drink and then it was time to leave for England. It was a small plane, but a smooth flight. We arrived in Callington around 01:00 English time and the students were happy to see their English friends again. After meeting their guest families, they took off for their new temporary homes and beds.
Our programme on Saturday started around 10:30. After a good night's sleep we went to Morwellham Quay, a historic port village and mine railway. We took part and learned how people lived, worked and played 150 years ago. Trying on costumes, panning for copper, cottage tours, riding the mine train and attending a Victorian village school were just a few of the things we did. Afterwards, it was time for the students to go back to their guest families in order to have some quality time with them. They will also spend the next day with their hosts. Some students will visit Plymouth and we will probably do the same. The students will continue with the blogs from tomorrow on, so the teachers are signing off and going back to supervising. So long, farewell... By Mrs. van den Bercken and Mr. van Roekel
Saturday, November 8th We had a great day, I was still pretty tired though. Friday we arrived at Toni-Anne’s home around 1 o’clock in the morning. We had a cup of tea and Toni-Anne introduced me to her family. To be honest I was pretty nervous but they are the nicest people ever . When we got Morwellham Quay (an old miners village) it was raining but when we started the tour... the sun came out! J. We were taught in a real life school out of the Victorian times, we were dressed up as people of that time, and at the end we had a trip through the old mines. After we got home, we went to an Indian restaurant and had an awesome dinner! I was really tired so went straight to bed as soon we got home. By Marieke, H3at

Tuesday, November 11th
First thing on Sunday morning we woke up to the smell of freshly made pancakes. We ate our pancakes with lots of Nutella and maple syrup. After this, we went to The Barbican in Plymouth where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to America. We walked all the way along the headland called Plymouth Hoe which was very beautiful but Astrid’s English student Ellie was very tired and didn’t want to walk anymore after about a minute. It was Remembrance Sunday so there had been many memorial services around the city so there were lots of poppies everywhere which were the flowers that grew in the battlefields during World War One. After this we had hot chocolate and muffins at the café because it was very cold. We then went to the Royal William Yard which is where the supplies for the British Navy were kept but now it has been turned into apartments and restaurants. We had diner at the old Bakery as the sun went down which was nice. We then went home in the dark and then we watched Dr Who which is very British and it was very dramatic because it was the last episode but Astrid was a party-pooper because for some reason she doesn’t like it. We are enjoying our exchange very much and we are very excited for the rest of the week. This experience has been special, different and beautiful. By Astrid & Ellie
Today I learnt a lot and we had much fun. Together with Caja I went on her school bus to the Callington Community College. First we had chemistry, which is part of Science. Too bad that our chemistry is in Dutch , because you really could learn from it :) . The lesson was very interesting but also quite difficult. Of course I made some notes. At CCC (Callington community college) there's no school bell and we have a 60 minutes schedule. Every school day ends at 3 o'clock there. Of course we had to wear uniforms. The teaching rooms are Very colourful! And the school has a lot of different buildings for different subjects. We also had mathematics. Even though I hate maths, this was very nice and helpful! For the first time I like maths, which is almost impossible. This teacher used a very nice teaching method. We started the lessons with some exercises and we also got a worksheet. She explained very well. Some things we haven't had yet in our lessons (E.G the Nth term) were hard. I also saw that we here have no normal schoolbooks from firm's (as we do)! Or I just couldn't spot them :P mostly they had maps with things in it. Our first break was outside. We all remembered the soldiers of the First World war. This was a beautiful symbol! After break time our subject was dance. Caja and her friends dance beautifully!! Then again a break. You can order warm meals here! After our second break we had two hours of PE. But first I had to go to the radio station located in school. That was funny! We had to talk about differences between England and the Netherlands. At PE we played volleyball with the PE-exam class of Caja. They're very good! LOL. I couldn't even catch the ball! Then school finished and we returned home by school bus. At 'home' I skyped my family. Later on we went to one of Caja'a friends called Becca. She's very nice. She came back to us and as tea we ate delicious pancakes. We also played the Cornish version of monopoly. It was much fun! I kind of won the game haha. By Caja & Esra, H3at

Today was quite nice. It was very sunny! We went to a muddy Organic farm.. To be honest, it would not be my first choice for visiting it, haha. In my opinion it was a bit like a nightmare.. You don't want to know a bio-eco-friendly toilet, you really don't want to. It was nice that the farm offered some wellington boots. Only one little problem. I had not seen that one of the boots had a whole in it. the farm was very muddy. It was quite interesting to learn about the eco-friendly farm, but the owner talked very long and a bit slow! It brought me in a little bad mood to be honest, haha. But I am grateful what we did today :-) thank you Dutch and English teachers. it's just not my thing. The trip back 'home' was nice. At 'home' Caja and me talked and I skyped my parents. Caja had cooked delicious Chinese food! After tea, we visited the grandparents of Caja. They're very nice. As desert, we ate delicious (Cornish) mints pie with clotted cream. I got to go, it is 23:20!
After the school-evening (sounds like a nightmare, doesn't it?), Caja's family and I ate a traditional (early) Christmas dinner. Roasted chicken, Yum! It was DE-LI-CIOUS. We also ate traditional pudding and handed out presents. I really enjoyed my last day at the lovely family Parkes... I'm so grateful! Tomorrow London-time. I have to go, it is 22:54! Friday, November 14th Today was a busy day. Everything is packed. I'll miss David, Caja's cat. I'm going to miss Ian and Kareena, Caja's lovely and very funny parents. And of course CAJA! I had to shed a little tear, but I hid it. and then we sat in the bus to London. It was a very long trip! With a lot of singing and laughing. We drove Around 6 or 7 hours long. Around 15;30 we arrived the space university. They looked very strict! The uniforms were very fancy. We had to work with the robotics. We got pizza, Yum! We are now in a hotel Called 'quality London Wembley'. I'm sitting with Astrid in one room. ď Š We drank real English Tea (yes with the milk, it is quite nice!) and laughed a lot. But I'm tired.. so I'll try to get some sleep in this Wembley hotel. It is 01:22! Saturday, November 15th

Today was nice. Today we had the preparations for the presentations and the robotics. We had to do presentations about creating a green classroom. We split our group and had great teamwork! :-D Astrid, Marysol and I worked on the presentation, and Marieke, Chelsea and Jenny worked with the robotics. After school Caja and I went into town. I bought a little present for my sister. Caja coached the junior netball training. It was so cute to see the little kids play netball. In the evening we had to perform the presentations and robotics. It was a kind of competition. Our group had First place! I really didn't expect that!
Today was Alright-ish. After breakfast we went to the heart of London. At first, we visited the London Dungeon. Haha that was scary! But also very funny. After the Dungeon we went into the London Eye. It was AMAZING! It was huge, and the view was incredible. We also walked through the garden of the Buckingham palace. Have you seen the animals there? It's amazing!! the nearer we came to the palace, the nearer my 'goodbyefeeling' came :-(. we've reached the end of the exchange... I had to cry. I'm missing everybody already! We went by bus to the airport. It had WiFi in it!! can you imagine a bus with Wi-Fi?! From the airport we went to our nearby hotel.

I'm sitting with Astrid and Chelsea on one room. This is genius! We ran in our pyjamas through the hotel ď Š. I have to go, it is 00:16! Sunday, November 16th
We had to wake up at 4.00 O'clock because of our aeroplane. The service of this hotel is very friendly. Astrid and Chelsea already left the room, and I was checking If I had all of my stuff. I'm always stressed out with checking because I'm afraid for forgetting things. I'm sorry Mrs Schoonbrood, and Mr Hamers for coming too late. I'm so tired! And afraid for the aeroplane... but I had more fear when we came from NL to UK haha. We had a flight from RYANAIR. The flight was okay. I was so so soo happy to be on Dutch ground again! And I missed my parents, my dogs, the Dutch FOOD, and my PIANO! Glad to be back :-) but I'd definitely visit Cornwall again! By Esra, H3at

Louis v. Gaal: Is Man Utd his club? By Martijn & Wout, V1at
he said: ''I get 25 million a year so who is laughing who now out''. Before he started his career as football coach he was a teacher at a primary school. So you thought he was very good at English. ''But nothing is less true'' on it v. Gaals. Before the match against Yeovil Town (2nd competition) for the FA Cup he said: ''It is the death or the gladioli''. Because if they lost the match they have to conclude they are not good enough.
The Formation ''And now we have to play against Chelsea that’s from another cook'' and then he improves himself: “Not another cook but another biscuit.” That is one of the things van Gaal said. This article is about Louis van Gaal.
How v. Gaal's adventure started Louis v. Gaal played a good world championship with the Dutch team. No one thought that they could get the 3rd place, but this happened. Before the end of the Championship it became clear that v. Gaal moved to Manchester UTD. He made a good impression, because he bought a lot of new players, including Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao and our own Daley Blind. But Rademel Falcao became injured, that was a pity. But after a few weeks he was training on Old Trafford, then it goes better.
Louis v. Gaal, his pronunciation Louis van Gaal is very bad at English. For example when the media was laughing about him
Last match (Man UTD-Southampton) van Gaal surpised with the message: Falcao don't play he stays on the stand! Why is not clearly, people think v. Gaal wants to play with Angel Di Maria next to Robin v. Persie. But it didn't work because Man UTD shot not 1 time on the goal. Van Gaal doesn't really know what the best formation for Manchester United is. He played: 5-3-2, 3-5-2, 4-33, 4-4-2, 4-3-2-1, 4-2-3-1. This is the formation that our own Louis used the most: David de Gea at goal Rafael, Evans, Rojo, Shaw (someone who v. Gaal at first about said: he isn't healthy, he was to fat). Then 4 midfielders: Blind (the most defending) Di Maria on the right. Juan Mata on the left. Wayne Rooney (the most attacking). And Robin v. Persie and Radamel Falcao (when he came back from his injuring). Anyway we think that v. Gaal is a good trainer but not for the English competition. He is in the media a bit stupid, but also funny for the malicious pleasure. He better could go back to Germany or the Netherlands. This was our story about the most famous trainer of England.

Football News By Yannick & Jesper, V1at
The brothers ‘Koeman’
Graziano Pelle, Stefan de Vrij, Dusan Tadic, Siem de Jong and Daryl Janmaat. There are also a lot of differences in the stadiums for example have a look at the stadium of FC Barcelona: Camp Nou. There can sit 100.000 people. Then look at the stadium of Go Ahead Eagles, there can sit 8.000 people. We hope that the Dutch teams get more money and more chances to win higher competitions.
Ballon D'or
The brothers Ronald and Erwin Koeman from the Netherlands have a great start at Southampton. At the moment they are standing on the 3th place. Koeman said: ‘We try to get the highest place as possible ‘. The coming weeks they need to play vs really big clubs, Come on Southampton!!!
Eredivisie, Not at the Highest Level
The Eredivisie is not at one of the highest level anymore. They have not that much money as the other competition. For example Real Madrid gave in 2013/ 2014 €250 million for players. The Eredivisie give in 17 years 250 million and the Eredivisie is 1 competition and Real Madrid only 1 club! We still have some teams that play Champions or Europa League. For example: Ajax, PSV, and Feyenoord. In the Eredivisie are also still some talented players, like Memphis Depay, Lasse Schöne, and Jordy Clasie. Last year there a lot of went really nice players went to higher competitions like:
The winner of the golden ball 2015 is Cristiano Ronaldo. For the second time in a row. He screamed when he won because he was very happy. Messi was second and Manuel Neuer third. Neuer was the only goalkeeper that was nominated. Also they acclaim the best team of 2015, with of course Manuel Neuer in goal. The defenders are: Sergio Ramos, David Luiz, Thiago Silva and Philip Lahm. The midfielders are Angel Di Maria, Toni Kroos and Andres Iniesta and the attackers are: The Dutchman: Arjen Robben, of course Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. We think that it’s correct that Cristiano Ronaldo won the ballon d'or. He was really important for his club; Real Madrid and the same in the champions league. For us was Neuer the second place and not Messi. Neuer was important at the World Championship and Messi was not that good, only some free kicks......

Football
Swimming
By Robin, B1ct
By Bo & Nikki, B1ct
I’m going to write about football because I really like it. I play football at Weltania. Football is one of the most played sports in the whole world.
We are Bo and Nikki and we are going to tell you something about our sport, Swimming! We began with swimming when we were like 6 or 7 years old. Swimming isn’t a team sport, only with estafette. There are competitions in a swimming pool that is 25 meters long and there are competitions in a 50 meters swimming pool. Nikki trains in Landgraaf and Bo in Kerkrade. Bo swims at Eurode Kerkrade and Nikki swims at SG-HGN. We both swim in Kerkrade on Friday and Saturday. We both have a competition on the 10&11 January in Venray, the LWK (Limburgse winter championships). We also swim the LWK and the LZK, (Limburgse Summer championships).
The Dutch team is not very bad, but we’re also not the the best team in the world. We have really good players but still not the the best of the world. We have players like Arjen Robben (Bayern Munchen) and Robin van Persie (Manchester United) they are very good, but not that good yet. The player I like the most is Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint Germain). And my favourite clubs are Ajax and FC Barcelona. I love football because you can just let go, when you just love it but also when you’re a little bit angry. I play at Weltania and I really like it but it’s just a “hobby club”. But I like it because all of my friends also play there. My parents and I do think, when I will become better, then I have to go to Bekkerveld or something like that. But I just do it for fun. The thing I don’t like about football are the fights after big matches. My opinion about football is that it’s the best sport in the whole world. And Ajax and Barcelona are the best clubs in the world.
There are 4 strokes, butterfly, Back stroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle. Nikki trains 8 hours and a quarter per week, but sometimes Nikki has a training in Eindhoven, with the KNZB. Bo trains 9 hours per week. Swimming is the coolest sport there is, because we both do it a very long time. So it becomes kind of normal for us to swim . Swimming makes us happy because, when we have very much homework, and we go to the training, we make our head empty. Sometimes when we have a party or something, and we have a competition then we have to come later or we cannot come to the party. When you are ill, and you can’t come a week or something, you’ll have a problem, because practice is very important, for everyone.

Horse Jumping Equipment for the horse:
By Evy, B1ct
-a jump saddle - a bridle -a bontje for under the saddle - a sjabrakje for also under the saddle - tendon boots for protects his legs - jump shoes for protect his hooves. - jump single.
You start with the approach that means that you rely on the jump (that is before the jump). Then begins the take-off that begins when the forelegs leave the ground and is completed when the hind legs leave the ground. Then starts the flight that is the moment of suspension. The next step is the landing when the forelegs come back on the ground. First comes the leading foreleg then the other foreleg, followed by the hind legs. The last step is the getaway after the jump you run away from the jump. What kind of equipment do you need? -leather chaps, but you can also take rubber boots (because leather chaps are very expensive)
- riding pants - a cap for protection - a jacket (this is only for competitions) and you can have it in every colour.
What is the highest that is ever jump??? The highest jump ever was 2.47m! It was 5th February 1949. The horse Huaso was a big thoroughbred stallion and his rider was captain Alberto Larraguibel. Together they jumped a world record!!!!
About myself ??? I jump 1 year now I think, before I did 4,5 years of dressage, but I like jumping more and I have the best jump teacher ever! I also do competitions every month, that is very nice. I would really to like become a professional jump rider ď Š. You also have events at the manege: that is also where you have to jump but then are the jumps different, for example: a bed where you have to jump over and a tunnel where you must include with the horse and more great jumps!!! This I like the most. It is 2 times a year, in the summer in the outside area and in the indoor area it is very fun ď Š

Games Review of 2014 By Calsey, V1at 2014: Ubipocalyps, The Year of Ubisoft, that's what it was called. But is that really true? Were the games that they published really that great? This list says it all!
Alien Isolation (and DLC) Windows, Xbox 360/One, Playstation 3/4 A must have for every Alien fan! In the game you play as Amanda Ripley who is investigating the disappearance of her mother. The game takes place 15 years after 'Alien' and 42 years before 'Aliens'. Amanda is transferred to Sevastopol to find the flight recorder of the Nostromo. Upon arrival, Amanda discovers that an Alien has killed a large part of the crew. The first mission of the DLC is called 'Crew Expandable' and has you playing as Parker, Dallas or Ellen Ripley. This is the first choice you make in the DLC. Depending on who you choose, the gameplay will differ. Your mission is to flush the Alien out of the air lock. The second mission of the DLC is called 'Last Survivor' has you play as Ellen Ripley in the last part of 'Alien'. Your mission is to self-destruct the Nostromo and escape in one of the pods before you die.
Alien: Isolation is a survival horror game that has received a lot of positive reviews. My personal opinion is that the story of the game is easy to understand even if you haven't seen the movies. You can really see that the developers have put a lot of effort in it.
Mario Kart 8 Wii U Don't we have enough Mario Kart's already? The answer is no. Every Mario Kart is unique. This one combines new features with old levels. Does it only have old tracks? No, there are also new tracks, for example Sweet Sweet Canyon and Thwomp Ruins. And 3 Rainbow Roads! And they keep adding new tracks, amazing right? And that's not the only thing they add, you can also get new people from the Nintendo Universe to play with such as Link. And, of course, you can make your own personal kart by adding different wheels, glider and body. I think that this is the best Mario Kart so far and I hope they keep adding new tracks and making it more awesome!

Five Nights At Freddy's 1 and 2 (FNAF)
Sunset Overdrive: Xbox One Another game about zombies, really? Yes, but it's unique. The OD (zombies) became like that by drinking an energy drink called Overcharge Delirium XT made by a company known as FizzCo.
Windows, Android, iOS, Windows Phone
You have been living like a hermit if you have never heard of these games before. FNAF 1 and 2 were super popular and there is no doubt that will still be in 2015. The story goes as followed: You have been employed as a night guard in a pizza place with animatronics. At night, the animatronics come to life and try to stuff you into a suit because they think you're an exoskeleton. The pizzeria, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, has been evolved in some terrible events such as: The Bite of '89 and a murder. There is a theory that the spirits of the children killed in the murder haunt the animatronics and that's why they can walk during the night. But that's just a theory and even though there is evidence to support it, nothing is confirmed yet. Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is a prequel sequel which means that the game came out later but the story tells something from before the 1st game. Special about the second game is the flashlight, the new/old animatronics and the death mini games that you sometimes get.
You, the player, have to defeat the OD with super awesome weapons such as the TNTeddy. You can upgrade your weapons by applying Amps. The game is based around the idea that touching the ground is bad so there are zip lines, grind rails and other things you can use to travel around the city without touching the ground. But there aren't only the normal OD's, there are loads of different OD kinds with different features. But OD aren't your only enemy, you should also worry about FizzBots and scabs. Only enemies? No, you make loads of friends during the apocalypse as well, for example the Larpers and 4Kim. I think that this is the beginning of a new era for apocalypse-themed games with all the colours, the funky music and the funny and light-hearted conversations. Not to mention all the Fourth Wall breaking things. - Advertisement -
The names of the animatronics are: Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, Golden Freddy, Chica and in the second game: Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Mangle, Balloon Boy and The Puppet. I really like these games even though they scare me to death.

Assassin's Creed Unity: Playstation 4, Xbox One, Windows Let's start with the flaws of this game: it's buggy, laggy and is only playable on computers younger than 1 year. But it looks amazing, has some really cool features and is a worthy successor to the other Assassin's Creed games. The game has you play as Arno, an assassin in the French Revolution. Your goal is to expose the true powers behind the Revolution. You might now think:' So this is a very violent game because you're an assassin.'. The answer to that is no, it's up to you if you kill people or just stealth around them. Yes, some missions have you murder some guys but only the baddies. If you want, you don't even have to do all the missions! You can just explore Paris if you want. Unlockables: You can unlock weapons, clothing and more by doing missions or picking locks on chests spread around Paris. You can also buy them with in-game currency. There are a few special clothing items: the costumes of the assassins in earlier games! So you can be Arno and Ezio at the same time!
Alien Isolation By Ezra, B1ct
Calsey alreay wrote a great review about this game, but this is my review: Alien Isolation is a survival horror game based on the movie “Alien” a movie from 1997. You play as Ripley jr. who has to search with her colleagues in a spaceship for survivors. She expects that there is no danger, but there is. Androids are programmed to kill all the living organisms and there is a nest of alien’s. Will you survive? The graphics are very good and they make it scary. Sometimes the controls are hard but you just have to learn that. The story is a bit cliché but that doesn’t matter. Hint: play this in the dark with a good headset. Rating: - Advertisement -
I love the Assassin's Creed series and have this game myself, so I really can't say a lot of bad things about this game. Except of course the bugs and other things that can be annoying in games. However, Ubisoft is nice to the people who bought this game because the ones who bought the season pass or the gold edition can get a free game!

GTA V Heist Update By Geoffrey, V1at
WARNING: This article is about a game that’s 18+. Read this article at your own risk! You have been warned!
In this new update are coming 5 or 6 new heist missions! Heists will allow players to take on specific roles at various points to complete a number of goals and objectives “on the way to each heist’s epic finales.” Tuesday, the New York City-based developer also promised new vehicles, gameplay, weapons and new clothing. Heists will be coming on all five platforms (ps4, ps3, Xbox 360, Xbox one and PC) Rockstar promised on their newswire.
GTA Online Heist update planned to release in early 2015. However as always the Heist update could be delayed. But the trailer is already released. In the trailer a lot of new stuff could be seen such as:
An aircraft carrier.
New clothes.
Armored truck with machine gun.
Pick-up truck with machine gun.
But now PC is delayed again to March 2015. But a lot of PC gamers say that it doesn’t matter that much as long they have a good game without glitches in March. but a lot of console gamers asked if heists also will be delayed. But Rockstar answered that heist isn’t being delayed and it will come out before PC comes out! I think that this is great because we’ve waited so long for the heist update and now that we have a trailer and knowing that it’s coming out for all platforms in early 2015? I think it couldn’t be any better!

And yes a fully armoured car.

The Crew The crew has got some irritating stuff: sometimes the cars are too bouncy and then you hit the wall or traffic. Also the catch-up system from the A.I is not that good, because you almost can’t get an advance bigger than 10 seconds and in 3 lap races that doesn’t matter but there are races that take longer than an hour and you can drive 1 hour very good and in the last 10 seconds you hit a wall and become last and that’s pretty annoying.

The different specs: Street: street spec is used as a starters spec to race on the streets but you can’t go off road that good. You play as a street racer named Alex Taylor, he is the brother of the leader of a gang the 510’s. In the beginning you are arrested for murder and you need to go to jail. When you are released from jail someone of the FBI asks you for help to catch the real murderer but to do that you need to go undercover into the 510’s and take down the leader and the corrupted FBI agent. The crew is a fun game when you play with your friends on console or pc. The requirements the crew needs on your pc are: Recommended:
CPU: RAM: OS:
Video Card:
Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.66 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0 GHz or better 8 GB Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 (64bit) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 or AMD Radeon HD 6870 (1024MB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or higher)
Dirt spec: dirt spec is the basic off road car that can ride very good on dirt roads but you can’t go into the woods with it or really go off road. Perf spec: performance spec is the basic spec to go really fast on the normal road. Raid spec: raid spec is the best off road spec because you can not only ride on dirt roads but with raid spec you can really go off road on mountains and such. Circuit spec: circuit spec is for riding really really fast on normal roads and on circuits. SKI JUMP: There is a ramp in the game called SKI JUMP it’s really fun to jump off from it and do tricks like spinning. Conclusion I think this game is really fun to play and to ride with your friends trough the United States. The game has got some issue’s with graphics and performance but overall it’s a really fun and cool game. I recommend you buy this game.
Graphics: the graphics are not that good for a next gen game because they look more like graphics from a ps2 game. >> SECOND ISSUE

Winter Needs Recipes By Quinty & Christina, V1at
We going to tell you about things you absolutely need in the winter. Most of all we are going to tell you about food & must-haves. When you come back from school or when it is a cold winter evening you really need hot chocolate milk. You can drink the normal hot chocolate but we really love white hot chocolate. Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 4 cups milk of choice (You can substitute half and half, heavy cream, or a mixture.) 1 tsp vanilla extract 8 oz. white chocolate, chopped into small pieces. Whipped Cream or marshmallows for topping 1. Stir together milk, chocolate and vanilla in small saucepan. 2. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the white hot chocolate comes to a simmer. (Do not let it come to a boil.) 3. Remove from heat and serve immediately, topped with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.
We also love marshmallows. You can put the marshmallows as normal in the hot chocolate but there are also many other things which you can make from marshmallows, for example s'more crack dip, these are marshmallows dipped in chocolate when you heat this it becomes fluffy than you get crackers and you put some s'more over the cracker. This is delicious at a cold winter evening, when you are watching to the television. These little, cute snowman's are easy and fun to make with your friends. These cute snowman's are made from pretzels and filled with white chocolate. It is also really nice to make for a party, all your friends and family will love it. It looks really nice and it is delicious. You need two round pretzels next to each other. This you fill with white chocolate. If the chocolate is still warm you can put mini chocolate chips in the white chocolate to make a little, cute face. If you want to make the snowman with more colours, you can use Nerds from Wonka to make the face and the buttons. This looks really nice if you want to make it look more happy. You can use fruit Roll-Ups to make a nice scarf for the snowman. Once the chocolate is dried, it looks like a cute snowman. If you make more of these you get a little, cute snowman family.

Winter Must Haves By Manou, V1at
This is the clue to never have cold feet anymore! Cosy socks it are not the most fabulous socks but they feel amazing! So never cold feet anymore!
In the winter it's really cold. Do you got a dry skin? You got to moisturize your skin! The Body Shop has really nice skincare products, one of our favourites is the Shea line, especially in winter time.
Still no snow? And you are a little bit bored? Watch a movie! Make your own cinema, with some pillows, a plaid and obviously popcorn! You didn't see Frozen yet? Shame on you! Go to You tube and you can watch it for free :-) You are never too old for Disney! Enjoy.
It’s the cold winter time and everyone likes a warm bath, but that’s really bad for your skin. With this product you can still have those warm baths but then when you come out of the bad your skin is really soft and moisturized. This is a bath bomb from Lush: Butterbal it’s very moisturizing and it smells like vanilla cake. Lush is a company which is all natural and nothing is tested on animals. It’s all fresh and handmade and it all smells amazing!
You don’t have a bath? No worries! They also have really nice shower gels. A really nice scent is: It’s raining men. It smells like honey and caramel!
These are some really nice products, I hope you enjoyed reading this đ&#x;˜ƒđ&#x;˜ƒ Have a nice day! Byeee
