Quinette boys ACTIVITIES Justin (MS ‘07) is in medical school in Cleveland, OH, where he is currently doing clinical rotations and will graduate in May, 2019. Logan (MS ‘09) graduated from CSU with degrees in Business and Entrepreneurship. He owns Select Rewards and also works at Constant Contact. Brenden (MS ‘12) Is a junior in the Engineering program at Marquette University in Milwaukee. He recently completed an internship at IQVIA (a global Human Data Science company) last summer and will work there again next semester. Ryan (MS ‘17) is a sophomore at Regis Jesuit HS and loves it!
Jack Furman HIGH SCHOOL Regis Jesuit ACTIVITIES Jack played #3 doubles for the JV tennis team. Both his individual doubles team & the Regis JV team took first place at the Poudre Valley Invitational & the Continental League Tournament. DID SMA PREPARE YOU WELL FOR HIGH SCHOOL? St. Mary’s taught me to be independent, communicate with teachers, and advocate for myself. MEMORIES OF SMA My favorite memory was of my last day of CAT in 8th grade. I loved my time with Mrs. Schmitt and the connections that I had made with students of all grades throughout my Middle School years.
ACTIVITIES Daniel has been a member of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Spanish Honor Society. He is also a presidential ambassador. He plays the guitar, is a member of the RJ media club and broadcasts sporting events. He played soccer in his freshman and sophomore years and basketball for all four years. Daniel challenges himself academically with honors and AP classes and maintains a 4.0 GPA. He is a Kairos retreat leader.

Ethan Carr HIGH SCHOOL Regis Jesuit ACTIVITIES Ethan was a three-sport athlete his freshman year in high school: soccer, basketball, and swimming. He is now focusing on golf and swimming. Ethan is also a presidential ambassador at RJ. He is a class representative of student council (STUCO). As a representative, Ethan runs various school events, fundraising events, and charity events. Ethan is also a member of the ambassador society where he aids with admissions events. He was selected a member of the grounds crew to help on the freshman retreat, started a music club, and is part of the RJ media club. Academically, Ethan has consistently been on the Gold Hightest Honor Roll (4.0+ GPA). MEMORIES OF SMA The Peru trip, sports, and my CAT Leader, Mr. Garcia, who was also my coach for soccer and baseball.

ACTIVITIES Isaac plays cello in the orchestra and is a member of the Robotics Club and Swim Team at Regis Jesuit.
ACTIVITIES George plays #1 Singles on the Varsity Tennis team. He received the Sportsmanship Award freshman year and the Athlete of the Week sophomore year.
ACTIVITIES Kevin is captain of the Regis Jesuit Speech and Debate team, a St. John Francis Regis High School Merit scholarship recipient, secretary/treasurer of the RJ Student Council, Track and Field, Mu Alpha Tetha (Math Club), Bass Section leader in RJ orchestra, Spanish Honor Society, Highest Honors/Gold Cross academic award (awarded to students with GPA of 4.0 and higher). He received the Loyola award – awarded to highly selected students who embody the values of a Jesuit scholar. He is an Eagle Scout, Silver Palm awardee (Boy Scouts of America), State Leadership Committee member, and participated in Destination Imagination Colorado.

DID SMA PREPARE YOU WELL FOR HIGH SCHOOL? SMA prepared me well for high school! I was chosen as a John Francis Regis Scholar, one of ten academic scholarships that Regis Jesuit awards incoming freshmen. MEMORIES OF SMA The trip I took to Peru in 7th grade was a great experience. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was eating lunch and dinner each day with a family in the village of Ollantaytambo.

DID SMA PREPARE YOU WELL FOR HIGH SCHOOL? SMA prepared me very well. The teachers gave me a lot of work that was very relevant to high school, and I came into my freshman year knowing exactly what was expected of me. MEMORIES OF SMA Winning an SMA auction item and having the opportunity to take the Loveland Ski Cat to the top of the mountain and ski with Mr. McVie and Mr. Pritchard at the end of the season.
HIGH SCHOOL Colorado Academy ACTIVITIES Harrison is a varsity starter lacrosse athlete, and he also plays golf and basketball. He is interested in video production and is in the Investment Club. DID SMA PREPARE YOU WELL FOR HIGH SCHOOL? SMA absolutely prepared me well for high school. Most of my classes are with juniors and some seniors. I am well advanced in math and Spanish. MEMORIES OF SMA I think my favorite memory of SMA was the faculty/student basketball game when I won the jump ball against Mr. Arbogast.

Ryan is currently in an internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in order to assist in his goal of attending medical school. MEMORIES OF SMA My favorite memories are of my trips to Peru. It was a great experience bonding with my classmates, learning about new cultures, and seeing the sites of Peru.
Riley Watters HIGH SCHOOL Mullen ACTIVITIES Riley is on the Varsity Hockey team as well as the school’s fall, spring and summer hockey teams. He is a Student Ambassador – taking prospective students on tours, shadowing during classes and also participating in Open House and other events to promote Mullen High School. DID SMA PREPARE YOU WELL FOR HIGH SCHOOL? St. Mary’s prepared me very well for high school, especially for science and english, as we use the same diagramming and further study what we already went over in Middle School. Taking Spanish at St. Mary’s since Kindergarten gave me a step ahead as well. MEMORIES OF SMA My favorite memory was the 8th Grade Washington DC trip! It was fun seeing all the historical sights. I also enjoyed being a mentor to Lower School students.

SMA’s focus on academic excellence and faith-based education gave me the inspiration to learn more, do more, and lead more. MEMORIES OF SMA My favorite memory from SMA was the opportunity to participate in the leadership and service projects in Ollantaytambo, Peru. I went to Peru as an SMA delegate twice. First time as a 7th grader and again as an 8th grader. The trips to Peru gave me the experience to create meaningful change while learning, growing, and becoming more aware of my global citizenship.

ACTIVITIES Lucas is on the cycling team, and his competitive nature drives hi to constantly improve. His ultimate goal is to qualify for a race in Belgium in 2021. DID SMA PREPARE YOU WELL FOR HIGH SCHOOL? St. Mary’s Academy did an excellent job of preparing me for the rigorous high school academics. I was placed in Honors Algebra 2 and Advanced Spanish, and I attained the Honor Roll. I have earned the respect of my teachers for my work ethic and how I conduct myself with my peers and teachers. MEMORIES OF SMA Playing basketball with my friends during recess and the camaraderie we had since Kindergarten. Many of us still keep in touch even though we now live all over the United States.

I feel very well prepared for my schoolwork at Kent Denver. My teachers at St. Mary’s Academy helped me develop my overall skills as a student, but I really learned to advocate for myself when I have questions, and my organization has improved significantly. MEMORIES OF SMA My favorite memory is being part of a community where all of the students and teachers were all super nice. St. Mary’s Academy is a place where you can just be yourself.
