Rationale During my final major project, I am going to focus on designing for sustainable print. I am going to explore the relation between traditional and commercial printing processes, and attempt to define my role as a designer by exploring the different levels and definitions of sustainability in relation to print. I intend to focus on fewer, more substantial briefs and push them to their limits by creating and proposing an extensive range. My work will be heavily image and illustration based as this is where my strengths lie. However I am also going to apply these skills across branding and publication design projects to diversify the work within my final major project and portfolio. Rationale: Design a range of greetings cards that stand out from the crowd. I am going to focus on illustration and specific subject matter to create a series of aesthetically pleasing card designs intended to be commercially printed.
