Fancy becoming a hotshot DJ or a renowned music producer? Join the club and get hands-on with technology to build melodic and rhythmic loops and learn how to turn them into tracks. Get to grips with synthesis to make sounds, use effects to put life into music and see how to mix it all together. Have a go at beatmatching, consider musical key and perform like a DJ. No musical experience necessary; this develops as you go.

eSPORTSCLUB

Esports, short for electronic sports, is a form of competition using video games. Esports often takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams. In eSports Club, you can use a GeForce Now account to connect to your Epic Games or Steam account and play online games against your friends.

Public Speaking

The Public Speaking Club is a very active group. Our members take part in many competitions throughout the year, such as Glasgow Speakers, Rotary, and our own Stephen Jardine Memorial Competition. Public Speaking is a fun way to boost confidence and gain valuable communication skills. We play verbal games such as “Just A Minute”, and everyone is encouraged to have a go. Additional coaching is available for individuals and teams entered in the Rotary and Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Public Speaking Competitions. Pupils from S1-S6 are welcome to join this popular and successful club.

Debatingandlawsociety

The Debating and Law Society is a student-led society and all are welcome. Whether you are keen to express your views as part of a an Open Session, or perhaps you prefer to simply Team or during watch!

ECO&SUSTAINABILITYGROUP

This group promotes environmental and social justice topics from the wider world and right onto our own campus. We act as the promoters of sustainable living, working towards a better world and being the green in the green blazers. We produce campaigns to change minds and actions, we fundraise to help our local environments and community and we try to enhance the unique campus that we have. If you are interested in making the world a better place, then come along and join the group, it’s your future to change, so be part of it.

Aid to the Church in Need is a Pontifical Foundation of the Catholic Church, supporting the Catholic faithful and other Christians, where they are persecuted, oppressed or in pastoral need. Each year, Aid to the Church in Need makes grants to help fund over 5,000 projects, primarily in the following areas:

• provision of catechetical material and books

• broadcasting the Faith

• help with church buildings

• support for the training of seminarians

• grants for the formation of religious and catechists

• subsidies for priests through grants and Mass stipends

• emergency aid to refugees
