Stamford uniquely prepared me to go into the airline business because we saw how companies worked. We did 480 hours of internship. Some of the most useful things I learned at Stamford that helped me succeed at PTT were; marketing and presentation skills, research and English. English especially – it is used around the world by people in the airline industry- actually, in all industries. The extra-curricular opportunities at Stamford also helped me a lot in my career. Mr. Peeraphat Burami Airline Business Management Student When I began as an intern at Malaysia Airlines, I felt really prepared. At Stamford, I learned skills in the classroom, I learned real-world insights from guest speakers, got hands-on experience during field trips – they allowed me to start contributing on day one of my internship. Logistics is here to stay. It’s a rewarding industry that will never become obsolete and will always be in demand. I have been working in logistics related industries for the past 30 years. Many people are not aware that logistics is actually part of most businesses, and part of almost every industry. In today’s modern business world, graduates need to have the skill set required by employers in order to advance in the careers - the most important qualities to develop are logical thinking skills and English. The industry is more complex today than in the past and will become more complex in the future due to the impacts of globalization -- graduates need to prepare themselves.
