Hear from our Faculty Members and Employers….

The key factor of the Stamford M.B.A. program is how we combine the theoretical knowledge into the real business world setting and deliver to our students. We use real case studies and working experiences to ensure that our students understand the concepts and we also share ideas in class.

Dr. Manoo Oradeedolachet

Our students come from various backgrounds, but no matter which career path they pursue in the future, we acknowledge that business administration and marketing knowledge is very important in all aspects. These are skills that we have been used in our daily teaching method. No matter where you work, what you do ... they are all relevant to business administration.

Former Director of the Government’s Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA); Co-author of ASEAN Master Plan 2015

Dr. Tanompong Panich

Graduates must be familiar with the ASEAN ICT Master Plan 2015 which will drive many competitive opportunities within ASEAN and beyond. This M.B.A. - Information Technology Management bridges general management and IT management to provide the foundation for professional, knowledgeable and forward-looking management of the information technology function within an organization.

Lecturer

The lecturers in our Graduate Program all have Doctorate Degrees and come from various backgrounds - they transfer their practical and theoretical knowledge to our students. Our optimum class sizes allow us to have in-depth discussions with our students to ensure they understand the materials. Our academic team is approachable and is willing to spend time with their students throughout the program to ensure that they have successful learning outcomes.

With the rapid advances in the globalization of business, together with the development of ICT and its Mobile Communications Electronic applications for today’s managers, an International M.B.A. can equip students to be better prepared for the many challenges ahead in their careers. The key is not about learning the ‘what’ of international business, but to know ‘how to learn’ to address the emerging challenges in this new business landscape, where the old ways are no longer sufficient.

Testimonials Each person has their own reason for enrolling in the M.B.A. program – maybe it’s to broaden their knowledge, prepare for the future, advance in their career, or learn how to manage and start their own business by being an entrepreneur – whatever the reason – it all begins with the first step and preparing for an inspiring future. Hear from our students and alumni as they share their inspiring stories…. What I love about Stamford is the learning environment and the family feeling every time I come to class. The program is perfect for me. As a nurse, I have limited time, but I would like to learn about business because it will benefit me in the future. At first, I was nervous that business would be complicated – but the M.B.A. program at Stamford is opening a new world to me while allowing me to learn new things like how to run a business. I understand the concepts and am able to apply them in a business environment. I feel so much more confident about running my own business, which will open up many more future opportunities. Ms. Phongphimon Bumrungrat Hospital

When I applied to Stamford, I was already working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and I needed an M.B.A. program that provides me a competitive edge. I need a flexible and suitable program. As a working professional, Stamford was the answer. As a graduate in International Law from UK, I found that Stamford’s M.B.A. program allowed me to step into a new learning environment by learning different areas in businesses and broadening my knowledge in areas such as marketing, finance and many more. In my opinion, studying for an M.B.A. is a way of diversifying yourself and I have gained a great deal of new knowledge studying at Stamford, which adds value to my future. Mr. Jim Ministry of Foreign Affairs

16

Stamford International University

The main reason I chose Stamford is because of the excellent service provided by the Student Affairs office. They provided me with the necessary information and helped me with the application. At the time when I had to make my decision I had many questions and it always took some time for other universities to give me a response. The counselor I talked to at Stamford answered all my questions immediately and helped me a lot during the process. Therefore, I chose Stamford because I knew there would always be someone to rely on. The second reason was that I really liked the international image, which has given me the chance to meet people from a lot of different cultures. Mr. Edwin Williams M.B.A. Student, Netherlands

I’m an entrepreneur running a beauty and spa business. The business itself has driven me to become active in learning.I chose Stamford International University because I wanted to expand my knowledge and bring it to my business development. Studying at Stamford made it easy for me to take the next step of business knowledge and English-language proficiency. All of the lecturers were experts in their field. They paid attention to the class and developing students. Moreover, Stamford is the place I’ve made friends with good people. Ms. Samorn Proprietor, Sami Sandy Beauty Spa

The thing I was most impressed by at Stamford was the small class sizes and the relationships I developed with my classmates. Many of my peers were older than me and shared with me their invaluable “real world” experiences. I formed an invaluable network that included business owners, people working in various industries, and even including the GM at Ford. Stamford International University also has a good environment and atmosphere. It’s a place where everyone knows each other and becomes friends. We’re still friends today. Even now, I seek out and apply their advice and solutions to my own business. Mr. Albert Proprietor, ‘Liquid Planet.’ Co., Ltd.

I was always inspired to have my own company and started my own business. I decided to join a M.B.A. program to broaden my business knowledge – but actually, I gained a whole lot more at Stamford. I received individualized attention from my lecturers, who were always supportive. They gave me good advice and most importantly were willing to spend time explaining new concepts and gave me feedback on my real business plan. I actually used the Business Plan I submitted for the Independent Study (IS) at Stamford to start my new business which is called “Surprise Delivery” and it works! Today I’m still at it – it’s a growing company and the most important thing is that I enjoy what I do and I’m very proud of what I have accomplished. Mr. Nui Proprietor, Surprise Delivery

Stamford is suitable for a working professional like myself – the ‘block course’ weekend program (one day per week) has allowed me to balance my work time and study time. I enjoyed going to classes because of the interactive environment – I still remember my marketing classes – I didn’t ever want that class to end – I wanted to listen and discuss more. I chose the M.B.A. International program because English is critically important in today’s business world – the AEC is coming and everything has become more globalized – I can think of many things I love about Stamford…from the modern weekend program, to the interactive classroom environment, and the international M.B.A. program which allow me to be more competitive.
