KINDERGARTEN TO 12TH GRADE INSTRUCTION PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS The Ogden School District serves the city of Ogden and approximately 11,500 students. It consists of 13 neighborhood elementary schools (K-6), three junior high schools (7-9), two comprehensive high schools (10-12), one alternative high school and one youth in care school. Two of the district’s elementary schools serve as magnet schools: New Bridge School as a STEM school and Taylor Canyon Elementary with its Advanced Learning Academy. Bonneville Elementary and T.O. Elementary host dual language immersion programs in Spanish. Two other elementary schools house specialty programs: Odyssey Elementary is home to Astro Camp Utah while Shadow Valley Elementary focuses on environmental science. The district’s two high schools, Ben Lomond High and Ogden High, have a rich tradition of athletic success with a combined

96 state championships across 18 sports. Weber School District (WSD) covers all of Weber County with the exception of Ogden City. With about 33,000 students, it is the fifth-largest school district in Utah and consists of 30 elementary schools (K-6), 10 junior high schools (7-9) and seven high schools (10-12). WSD has an 89.3 percent graduation rate in 2020. “The Funeral Directors Who Language immersion programs are offered in four of the district’s elementary schools, Uintah Elementary and Bates Elementary in Chinese and Majestic Elementary and Freedom Elementary in Spanish. WSD has seen significant growth in student enrollment in recent years and expects that growth to continue. As a result, the district has invested in new facilities, including two new elementary schools that opened in 2019 and the rebuilt Roy Junior High School that opened for the 2021-22 school year.
