TOP OF UTAH’S ECONOMIC POWERHOUSE
As Ogden City looks to the future of its downtown area, it has partnered with UTA, Weber State University and McKay-Dee Hospital to create a Bus Rapid Transit system that will connect the FrontRunner commuter rail system to the university and the hospital. The 5.3-mile project will enable riders to get to their destinations faster as dedicated lanes for buses are created and buses are given traffic signal priority. Scheduled completion is set for 2022 with the new line expected to spur $550 million in economic development by 2040.
