Submission Guidelines The STAND is published January, March, May, July, September, & November yearly on
the 15th of that month.
Contributers: Submit your photos to editor@thestandmag.com for consideration at any time. You will be contacted by the editor for photos that may be used in an issue. Show Reports: Submit within 60 days of the event taking place. The report is limited to 1000 words supported by as many high quality (300dpi) pictures as you would like to send. The editor will contact you with any additional instructions should the report be considered for publication. Sponsors: Contact editor@thestandmag.com for rates and scheduling.

// from the Editor It’s the holidays! Hard to believe 2021 is nearing completion...it’s been yet another difficult year impacted by the global pandemic. But despite the impact of the pandemic, for me, the holidays have always been a time of hope, joy and reflection: hope for a better future, joy for the season and the togetherness brought by it, and reflection of the year gone by. With a nod to the best selling classic by James Herriot, this holiday issue is themed “All Creatures Great and Small”. The creatures around us--human and otherwise--are a big part of our seasonal gatherings and a great source of joy. It’s not uncommon to have a special stocking hung for your pet dog or to see traveling families with their pets in tow. Winter is also a time many put a little extra birdseed out for the wild birds wintering the cold weather. The challenge to our photographers this time was to show their interpretation of this theme and as you’ll see, they stepped up to the challenge...you’ll see sweet tender moments between dolls and their pets, creatures that will bring a smile to your face or even make you laugh, and others that simply are what fantasies are made of. I thank our contributors for their wonderful images which will be sure to delight you as you turn each page. And as I reflect on the year of which most replicated the year 2020, I remain thankful for so many things. I am thankful for the photographers that are a part of this publication, many of whom contribute each issue. I am thankful for the artists who sculpt the dolls that we photograph. I am thankful for the support from our advertisers and sponsors. And I am thankful for you, dear readers, for your engagement with this special magazine. Wishing you the happiest of holidays to you and yours! Let’s make it a great 2022!
