I PICKED IT UP THE FOLLOWING DAY AND HAVE BEEN LOVING MY SNAKE 350 EVER SINCE!
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
I was about 10 years old when I developed a passion for Mustangs. I’m 69 years old now and the first Mustang I saw was a 67 GT. The color was yellow with a 390 cubic engine. Man I thought that was the greatest car the FMOCO had ever built. I said to myself, one day I will own me a Mustang.
So as time passed, I saw this 69 Shelby GT500 and man what a car. When I graduated from high school, I got a job and my first decision was to purchase a Mustang. Well, my dad and I went to the Quality Ford dealership in 1972, located in Whiteville, NC, and there sat a 1968 Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet Mustang. I purchased the car and man was I excited about owning my first Mustang. It was everything that a man would want in a car.
Since then, I was up to number 7. Number 7 was a 2015 GT 5.0 with 435 hp. I wasn’t satisfied so I ordered this
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
2017 Shelby GT350 on May 2016 and it arrived June 2016. When I got the call on a Friday that it was at the dealership, WOW I got so excited! I picked it up the following day and have been loving my Snake 350 since!
Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
