PAUL NICHOLS MOLLY - 1966 MUSTANG COUPE

CAR NAME–YEAR & MODEL INFO

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

Christened as “Molly” in the early 2000s, this 1966 Coupe resides in Hanover, PA. Purchased by the late Jeff Kolegraf, and then handed down to his daughter Amber, she’s currently owned and cared for by Paul Nichols.

The restoration on this car could be called a team effort, with Jeff getting the exterior finished, Amber doing a good bit of mechanical repairs herself, and with Paul finishing the interior.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

Paul purchased the Mustang in 2020 from a dealership. Amber and Paul got in touch with each other on Facebook, with the assistance of the dealership. Paul wanted to make sure that Amber could see that her Dad’s project was going to be continued in earnest. “I believe that Mustangs are not just cars. They are a part of us. I wanted Amber to know that, every step of the way, I believed her father was with me when I began the interior restoration in 2021”, says Paul.

For the back seat, Paul purchased the seat cover from TMI. For the front seats, he purchased entirely new custom seats from TMI. The door panels and dash pad also came from TMI. The center console was added in 2021, and was purchased from CJ Pony. New bumpers were installed and the 6-cylinder automatic has had extensive mechanical TLC, enough so that longer drives for car shows are possible.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in
