Seniors, over 55 years old, residing in the Melrose Area School District #740 and the Birch Lake area, are invited to participate and use the Center. There are no membership dues. The Board meets at 2 p.m., the fourth Wednesday of each month. Board meetings are open to anyone. Present Board members are Liz Pohlmann, Pat Seanger, Ruth Traeger, Eileen Maus, Ivanna Meyer, Rosie Athmann and Karen Mueller. New board members are always welcome. Scheduled activities are: • Silver Sneakers Exercise Class: 8 a.m. and again at 9 a.m. – Monday, Wednesday and Friday • Golden Goalies: 9 a.m. – every Tuesday • Book Club: 10:30 a.m. – Third Thursday of each month • Cards and Games: 1:30 p.m. – Second and Fourth Wednesday of each month • Freewill Soup and Bread Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Second Wednesday of each month • Billiards: Any time of day • Quilting: Afternoons when a quilt is ready for hand stitching • Community Education Classes: Check http://www.isd740.org/
