NIch olas an d Lu k e Review Tw o Car yt ow n St ops What do you get when you cross great service with great food? You get Can Can! Can Can is a French Restaurant in Carytown. When we got there, we were immediately seated at a beautiful table. The food came quicly, and let me tell you, it was delicious! It was also the perfect amount. The pricing was also pretty reasonable, as our bill was $21. Overall, Can Can is a great restaurant, and I would definitely recommend it.

Ro g u e On e by Ewan Cross and Mason Carter St ar War s Over view ?I am one with the Force, and the Force is with me.? Rogue One is the Star Wars franchise?s first spin-off film, and it is certainly worthy of the title ?Star Wars." As you may know, Star Wars is a science-fiction saga following the path of the powerful Skywalkers. Led by the Force, and using lightsabers (laser swords), they are fighting the evil sith lords and their massive armies. The first movie came out in 1977, A New Hope, followed by The Empire Strikes Back in 1980. The end of the original trilogy came with the 1983 Return of the Jedi. The sequels, 1999?s The Phantom Menace, 2002?s Attack of the Clones, and 2005?s Revenge of the Sith were hated by die-hard Star Wars fans. Why? Because a whiny Anakin Skywalker and an idiotic gungan Jar Jar Binks almost ruined the Star Wars franchise.

Rogu e On e w as r eleased Dec. 16t h , 2016, an d it w as a big box of f ice h it . When Franchise Executive Power changed hands in 2012 (when Disney bought Star Wars for over 4 billion dollars), things started looking up for Star Wars. 2015?s The Force Awakens seems to be taking Star Wars back up the leaderboards, and 2016?s Rogue One certainly kept with the program.

They did an excellent job of fitting it into the Star Wars timeline, and the end matches up exactly with the original movie.

We know from the beginnings that they are going to succeed, and since none of them are in the original trilogy, we can suspect that none survive (which is true).

The story follows a regular rebel, who is doing this not for the good of the world, but to save her father and clear her name.

They had several low quality CGI moments when they needed a young Princess Leia and Grand Moff Tarkin.

Darth Vader has limited screen time, and the Emperor is only mentioned once or twice. This leaves room for the ordinary Imperial officers.

They introduced new vehicles that are very cool and useful for the rebels, but they did not have them in the original trilogy.

R a t in g s M ason Car t er 's Rat in g: 9/ 10 "Great Cinematography and excellent plot, just a little too much noise."

Ew an Cr oss's Rat in g: 8/ 10: "Darth Vader is on a whole 'nother level of awesome."

Magic : Th e Gat h er ing Hist o r y In 1991, Peter Atkinson, the CEO of Wizards of The Coast, then a small company focused on making role-playing games, partnered with a math student, Richard Garfield to create a card game that could be played ?while waiting in line at conventions.? Garfield then created Magic: The Gathering. In 1993, Magic was presented to the visitors of the Origins Game Fair in Dallas and was so successful that the company had to order more prints of the cards. Since that fateful day in Dallas, the company (until it was bought by Hasbro) and the game would keep growing to produce countless sets of cards with many different ways to play. ~ By Mike Hawkins

7thGrade FieldTripTo: RiceRiver Center andHarrisonLakeHatchery Last Thursday the 7th grade when on a field trip to two interesting locations. The 7th grade went to the Harrison Lake hatchery and the VCU Rice River Center. The 7th graders learned how the hatchery helps produces muscles naturally. We also got to hike the facility and hunt for bugs. The 7s then visited the rice river center where we learned how to test the condition of the river 's water with Mr. Burnette. We also toured the rice river center. A research building made out of recycled materials. The 7th grade had a lot of fun learning about the James River.
