CHAPLAINCY AND SPIRITUAL CARE
Our chaplaincy team is here for you and for those supporting you. We offer support to people of all faiths and none, helping to explore big questions and providing a listening ear. For those with specific religious requirements we will spend time with you to ensure all the support you need is available, we will liaise with other faith or belief groups if you wish and we can assist with funeral planning advice, too.

FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICE
Our Family Support Team supports families with children offering general information and advice, undertaking individual work with children and supporting their wider social world. The service also offers family remembrance days and supports children in bereavement.
ARTS
Our arts team offers a range of opportunities for patients, their families and friends to be creative through diverse arts media, including music and visual arts. We provide individual and group sessions depending on each person’s interests, needs and abilities. We also organise regular live music concerts and undertake creative projects with the local community, including schools.
ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Being active and having your environment set up to help you move around safely is a vitally important part of living as independently as possible. Occupational therapy, physiotherapy and podiatry are all available to all our patients.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy (OT) provides practical support to overcome physical and psychological difficulties that prevent you from doing the things you enjoy. It might entail providing you with equipment, making adaptations to your home such as handrails or bannisters or it might be a wider assessment of your home to help you think about how to use it differently to make it more accessible. Our OT team can also support you with your symptom management.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
We want you to be able to stay active and remain as independent as possible. We ’ll teach you techniques to help with things like breathlessness and fatigue, provide guidance on types and levels of activity and exercise, and work on your strength and balance. We can also create a strategy to help if you ’ re at risk of falling over. We can provide walking aids, refer you for a wheelchair and we ’ll teach you and your family and carers the safest way for you to move around.
