7 The Lord’s Prayer - Matthew 6:7-15 Jesus gave us this prayer to offer as an example of how to pray. Pray the Lord's Prayer together. Each share what part gets your attention?

14 The greatest among you will be your servant. - Matthew 23:11 Jesus showed us the model of being a helper and friend to others. How could you make a special effort to help someone?

They are like trees planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in due season, with leaves that do not wither; everything they do shall prosper. -Psalm 1:3 The Bible compares people to trees that bear fruit. What are the good things ("fruit") do you see in a member of your family?

Today we hear the story of how Mary and Joseph thought (pre-teenage) Jesus was lost in a huge crowd. Jesus wasn't actually lost. He was actually in the temple teaching adults about important things. - Luke 2:41-52

The Gospel reading was a parable about a fig tree that needed a little extra tending and time to grow. Make a trip to a local garden center to select something to plant and care for together. (Parable = simple story about a complex idea.)

Today we hear a story about Jesus being ignored or understood by others. Share a time when you felt ignored or misunderstood by people who know you well.

24 Today is the Feast of the Annunciation. It is when we recall the story of Mary's visit from the angel Gabriel to hear the news that she would be Jesus' mother. Why do you think we hear this story during Lent?

On the day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and parched grain. Joshua 5:9-12 Good news! You don’t need to forage from the ground. Head to the grocery store to pick up a box of matzah to taste. Do you like it?

Have you ever experienced something that felt like a miracle? (Miracle = Something that can only be explained by the movement of God.)

Jesus healed a person on the sabbath, the day of rest. This made some people very angry. Rest was holy in the times of Jesus and it was actually against the law to work on the Sabbath. - John 5 The Bible instructs us to take time to rest. When do you find time to rest? What feels restful to you?
29 The Lord is near to those who call upon him, to all who call upon him faithfully. Psalm 145:19 How would you like to ask God for help? Share now or offer it in prayer before bed.
30 The People of God that Moses were leading started to think that things were more important than God. Exodus 32:7–14 Tell a time when you placed more importance on something other than God.
