WELCOME! Steven, Stellina & Sean
Welcome to our 16th edition of YTC’s Ski & Snowboard Publication As always at this time of the year, we are looking forward to the next skiing season, which is packed with fun on the snow. YTC has been hosting clients in Livigno with huge success for a number of years. The YTC ski team is led by ski director Mariano Galas and assisted by Eleonora and/or guides. They will teach you to ski and ensure that you have a wonderful time on the slopes. Their expertise and experience is invaluable and will guarantee your holiday’s success. For non-skiers, YTC is once again offering a number of options to simply enjoy the snow environment and snow-related activities. Join any one of our weekly
departures to Livigno, or any one of the short breaks in December or January. If a skiing or snow-related holiday is not for you, you can go on a short break to Sicily this winter, organised by YTC and Mario Spiteri of Go Sicily. YTC’s SUMMER 2015 destinations are also included in this brochure. Plan your spring/summer week’s holiday in Livigno, La Nuvola Farmhouse in Tuscany, Sarentino in the Italian Dolomites, Wagrain in Austria and also visiting Germany, or in our new destination, Fiavè, in the Italian Dolomites. Short breaks to Sicily are also popular holidays available throughout spring and summer.
Once you have read this publication, we encourage you to visit our website and facebook group, which might give you more updated information and photos. We are also just one phone call or email away, or you can visit us at our new offices at the Birkirkara bypass or at Fgura by appointment.

LIVIGNO
LIVIGNO A SUPER SKIING DESTINATION Livigno is rated as a top skiing resort because it simply has it all – fantastic snow throughout the skiing season, wonderful ski runs, excellent other snow-related activities, great nightlife, duty-free shopping – all within this small Alpine village which spans 25 km between the Italian and Swiss borders. Located in a high valley in Italy, bordering Switzerland, Livigno is 1816m high. The surrounding slopes tower to 3000m, the Carosello mountain on one side and the Mottolino mountain on the other. At this altitude, it is no wonder that Livigno’s skiers can always rely on first rate snow conditions. The pistes are usually open by the first week of December, and remain open till two weeks after Easter, having the longest skiing season in Italy. Beginners are taught how to ski on the lower slopes, while the more experienced skiers take to the higher slopes, and ski from one end of the Carosello mountain to the other.
Livigno’s slopes are nice and wide, with a good mix of blue, red and black slopes. There are over 120km of slopes spread out between the Carosello and Mottolino mountains. The pistes are well groomed and subject to constant attention in addition to a network of quick and modern cable cars and lifts.
Alpine village of Livigno
The upper slopes can be easily accessed by persons who have skied before via the Tagliede cable car and the chair lifts nearby, which are all extremely close to the Miramonti hotel and other hotels and apartments provided by YTC. For beginners, skiing is concentrated at YTC’s facilities at the flattest pistes in Livigno. Tagliede Cable Car

Part of the Christmas 2013 Group
LEARNING WITH SMILES SKIING WITH CONFIDENCE “Will I learn how to ski?” is a question asked over and over again in the YTC office by our clients. And the answer we give is always YES. Learning to ski is fun, and everybody has to learn some time. Once you have learnt how to ski, you will always retain this ability, though practice and further tuition will always bring you more enjoyment. YTC has an over 95% success rate at teaching beginners, which has consistently been achieved in the past.
With this wealth of experience Mariano knows how the Maltese beginner thinks and feels on the first few days on the slopes. Seeing as most Maltese have never been on the snow before, he has tailor-made his lessons to bring out the best in Maltese skiers. He is helped by Eleonora who is Maltese or by one of our guides. Being encouraged in your own language by the instructor’s assistants, as well as having an instructor who understands a lot of Maltese words, is a service you will not find anywhere else in the world.
YTC is fully dedicated to teaching you how to ski. We have been in this business for over 35 years, as the travel agency which introduced skiing to the Maltese. Our ski director, Mariano Galas, has been teaching Maltese clients for nearly 20 years, around half of his professional life.
The first two days are spent on a small escalator carpet, which carries you some 50 metres up the gentle slope, before you start skiing slowly down. During the initial lessons, Mariano will teach how to stop, turn and slow down on a very small flat slope. Beginners enjoy the skiing sensation immediately.
www.ytctravel.org
After about two days, lessons are on a slightly longer slope, where one learns how to go up a ski lift. By the end of the week, our beginners can comfortably tackle a full easy slope with confidence, while being 100% in control. Skiing is a group activity, so skiing together with family or friends is something our beginners look forward to. YTC skiers, under Mariano’s guidance, learn to ski relatively well, given that they only stepped on skis that week, and compared to other beginners, I would grade them as excellent students. This does not mean they know it all - it takes several skiing holidays to make a good skier, but with YTC our beginners enjoy the whole week of skiing, and look forward to their next skiing holiday.
Participants of the races will be given a personalised certificate and a YTC memento or trophy.
Some facts about tuition offered by YTC. Tuition lasts 2 hours per day for 5 days, with 1 hour of skiing being defined internationally as being 55 minutes of instruction, which allows the instructor 5 minutes/hour to prepare himself for the next lesson. The 6th day consists of organised races for groups. Towards the last day, Mariano will film you skiing, and prepare a DVD of you skiing available at a small charge (for group lesson participants only). Photos of you skiing during some lessons and during the races are taken by a professional photographer and are available upon request at a charge. Those skiers not taking group lessons may take part in a specially organised race at the end of the week for advanced skiers at a cost of €10 per person.

KIDS LOVE TO SKI WITH YTC IN LIVIGNO
Certificate presentation
Enjoying the skiing sensation
If you have children, there is no better family holiday than a skiing holiday. Skiing is ideal for the entire family - children have fun, parents enjoy seeing their children have fun, while enjoying skiing themselves. When the kids become teenagers and young adults, the family can still enjoy a skiing holiday together. And when the slopes have closed for the day, Livigno offers a wide variety of other, snow-related activities.
Tuition consists of a 5-day course, with races held on the 6th day. By their second lesson, your children will be going up and down the beginners’ carpet completely at ease, and depending on their progress will later be introduced to the button or chair lifts. The races at the end of the week are also keenly competitive, with medals and cups as prizes to show off their achievements to their loved ones at home.
Put a pair of skis on your kids’ feet, and within a few hours they will be thoroughly enjoying themselves. First off, they need to be taught to ski, which is where Mariano Galas, Eleonora and our guides excel. Mariano’s friendliness and patience enables him to create a bond with the children, while communicating with our guides in Maltese goes a long way to making your child relax and enjoy the sport. YTC boasts a success rate of nearly 100% in teaching your kids to ski.
Apart from the skiing, children can participate in most of the other snow-related activities in Livigno. Sledging, tyre-sliding and horse-riding, apart from the regular snow fights and building of snowmen, which are all popular activities. And after a hectic day out on the slopes, followed by a good dinner, parents never have any difficulty putting their kids to sleep. Some well-earned peace and quiet and a good night’s rest in anticipation of the next fun-packed day on the slopes.

Tuition is carried out close to the village. Most parents or grandparents would ski with their kids as YTC tries to keep beginner families together as much as possible, adding to the fun.

SHORT BREAKS FOR SKIERS & NON-SKIERS
Santa Maria church at night
Following the success of last year’s short breaks to Livigno, YTC is once again organising 3 and 4 night short breaks in December 2014 and January 2015, for those who are unable to join us for a whole week. Since a short break is better than no break, or that a short break can be an extra skiing holiday in the season, YTC has 5 attractive dates on offer, 3 of which are before Christmas while 2 are after the New Year. So for those who cannot be away from Malta during the Christmas period, YTC has provided alternative options. If you are a non-skier, and wish to go abroad in winter, then we definitely recommend a short break in Livigno. Many who have visited Livigno in summer wonder what it looks like in
winter, and there is no better way to see that than by taking a short break. There are so many things to do – simply relax in the tranquil environment, or participate in the many activities such as jet-biking, sledging, tyre sliding, visits to Bormio and St. Moritz, etc. We refer you to page 17 of this brochure, which is dedicated exclusively to non-skiers in Livigno. The short breaks are very moderately priced, and compare favourably to any alternative winter holiday in a city, so maybe just once in your lifetime, visit Livigno to get a taste of the snow environment in a mountain village.

enjoyment. However, if this is not possible, then a short break will definitely go a long way towards satisfying your interest in the sport. Skiing is a wonderful sport, and if daily pressures do not permit a week, then this is the second-best alternative. If this is to be your only window of opportunity to

THE MAIN ACTIVITY IS SKIING, YET WITH SKI GROUP LESSONS LASTING 2 HOURS DAILY (IN SKIING, INTERNATIONALLY, 1 HOUR IS DEFINED AS 55 MINUTES OF TUITION AND 5 MINUTES BREAK), THERE IS ALWAYS ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE ACTIVITIES WHICH APPEAL TO YOU MOST. THE LIST OF FUN ACTIVITIES TO BE ENJOYED ON AND OFF THE SNOW IS VAST, AND THE ACTIVITIES BELOW ARE THE MOST POPULAR. ACTIVITIES ARE ORGANISED BY YTC. ASK YOUR GUIDE FOR DETAILS.
Sledging
Jetbikes
Horse-riding
JETBIKES Top of the list and up to now still the most favourite nonskiing activity for YTC clients is the jet-biking experience, which is a huge hit with people of all ages. Spend 40 minutes driving the bike, while enjoying the breathtaking scenery... speed, snow and lots of fun! You may drive the bike if you are 18 years or older. No previous experience is necessary. You can choose to carry out this activity on the frozen lake or on the mountain.
Tyre-sliding
10
SLEDGING Once a week at 5pm a slope is dedicated to sledging. The chair-lift will be open for sledgers only, who ride to the top of the piste in the chairlift with the sledge in hand, and then sledge down the whole piste. This is definitely the activity which appeals to the broadest age range and it is not unusual to find three generations of a family all enjoying the sledging experience together. TYRE-SLIDING If you want to fly across the snowy slopes without an engine or your skis then you really must try the tyre-sliding which has proved to be very popular and lots of fun - it’s simple, you just sit in a large inflated ‘tyre-tube’ and slide down the twisting circuit specially laid out at the bottom of the slopes. Suitable for all ages.
SKI AND SNOWBOARD 2014-2015
Horse drawn carriages
Husky rides
HUSKY RIDES One of this season’s new activities available to YTC guests is the husky dog-sled rides. This fun experience takes place just a short trip out of Livigno (about a half-hour away by minivan) where you will be introduced to these gorgeous husky dogs and shown how to handle your individual dogs and sled before starting a memorable trip through the trees on the specially prepared trail. The activity is approximately 1 hour long and is not suitable for children and for those scared of heights.
HORSE-RIDING AND HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGE RIDES Horse lovers are well catered for in Livigno where riders of every ability can spend time enjoying the special ambiance of the snowy slopes from horseback. Under the supervision of expert local guides you can follow the trails through the trees of the lower slopes of the valley and bask in the enchantment of the clear, crisp mountain air. For those who want a more sedate equine experience, the horse drawn carriage is the choice for you. This is a tranquil activity suitable for everyone.
MUCH MORE THAN JUST SKIING Jetbikes
Snowboarding
Larix Park
SNOWBOARDING Snowboarders have their own fun parks in Livigno in addition to the regular pistes. There is also a competition level snow park with half pipes, rails, jumps and a mega sound system. Snowboard lessons can also be organised on request. Enjoy. ICE SKATING At the centre of the village (near the church) you can have some fun on the floodlit ice skating rink every evening until 10pm - the perfect way to spend an hour or so under the starlit, crisp winter sky.
www.ytctravel.org
LARIX PARK WEATHER CONDITIONS PERMITTING Larix Park is a challenging but exceptionally fun series of interlinked rope and timber walkways offers the opportunity to see the trees from a totally new perspective, several metres above the ground. Your safety is well cared for with harnesses and safety equipment of the highest standard - all you need is the spirit of adventure! A number of persons within the group must book for this activity to be held. Larix park is not recommended in very cold weather.
ALSO FOR CHILDREN Children enjoy other non-skiing activities too, like sledging, the building of snowmen, snowball fights and tyre sliding. Children older than seven years of age can ride pillion on jetbikes driven by adults or go horseriding along the Livigno stream.
NIGHT SKIING Every Thursday there is night skiing on a selected piste nearby, which is floodlit until 10pm for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy a completely different skiing experience.
Bivio pool
SPA AND WELLNESS Hotel Bivio and Hotel Helvetia offer full spa and wellness facilities close to Hotel Miramonti, so take along your swimwear to gently ease away the day’s skiing exertions.
Latteria
ESPECIALLY FOR NON-SKIERS Non-skiers have a special program and set of activities prepared for them, apart from the activities on this page. See page 17. WALKING Walking along the stream in Livigno in the tranquil setting of the snow clad mountains is very popular with Maltese clients. The walk is up to 10km long. DAY TRIPS TO BORMIO AND ST. MORITZ One can go on two day trips to Bormio in Italy or St. Moritz in Switzerland, since both are located approximately 1 hour away from Livigno. Bormio is a chic skiing village, where one can stroll along the medieval shops in Via Roma and spend some time at the Bagni Vecchi, the natural thermal baths dating back to Roman times, with natural hot water flowing out of the mountain at 37 degrees. St. Moritz, with its slogan ‘Top of the World’, needs no introduction as a playground to the rich and famous. LATTERIA The Latteria (dairy) is worth a visit. By means of audio equipment you can hear the commentary, while seeing how and where the delicious cheese, milk, butter and cream, for which Livigno is famed, is made - and of course get to taste it.

SHOPPING, NIGHTLIFE & DINING IN LIVIGNO A SKIING HOLIDAY IS NOT JUST ABOUT SKIING AND AFTER 5PM THERE ARE A NUMBER OF THINGS TO DO. SHOPPING Some decide to go shopping – and duty and vat-free shopping at that. Due to a concession earned way back in 1805, goods sold in Livigno are duty and vatfree, giving endless shopping opportunities for clothing, electronic goods, alcoholic drinks, perfumes and other sundry items. Take the time to go shopping and you will find several bargains with your name on them, from any one of the over 300 shops found throughout the village. GOURMET After a full day’s activities, you would have definitely worked up a healthy appetite. Dining is normally in one of YTC’s hotels for those on a half-board basis. For that special night out, however, YTC can recommend a large number of places to dine, be it pizza, pasta, local specialities, meat or fish, or overall fine dining. Pizzoccheri
Après-ski

NIGHTLIFE Livigno is the Number 1 ski resort for nightlife in Italy, and possibly in Europe too. You can visit several pubs and après ski bars at night, and you would not have visited them all by the end of your week. Livigno’s pubs are the places where a great many Maltese of all ages find themselves immediately after the slopes for some après-ski. As anyone who has been on a skiing and snowboarding holiday knows, après skiing is as much fun as the skiing itself. After après-ski, some shopping and

dinner, it’s back to the pubs for some serious socialising. Drinks are duty-free everywhere and are incredibly cheap so you can definitely afford a few rounds. Take it easy though – remember that the effect of alcohol at such a high altitude can be quite different, especially when taken in the generous measures which are normal in Livigno’s bars. Bivio Club at the Bivio, the brand new club Il Cielo on the Mottolino side, Helvetia, Bar Stalet, Tagliede, Micky’s, Daphne’s, Roxy, Marco’s, Homelywood, Tea Vidal, the list is quite long. Anyone who
The bars close at 2am, which should be ample enough time to enjoy yourselves. Most bars are within walking distance of YTC hotels, and those which are not are only a short, cheap taxiride away. Remember that the next day offers a wonderful day of skiing, so be careful to pace yourselves and rest in order to get the best out of your holiday. One of the most important benefits of YTC’s very personal service is in the excellent choice of prime-location hotels and apartments. For over 15 years, YTC has built a strong reputation among the hoteliers of Livigno and has established a portfolio of properties which are all in top locations. The best example is the family run Hotel Miramonti which has been welcoming YTC clients for over a decade. The Hotel Miramonti enjoys unimpeded mountain views from every room and is situated directly across the road from Livigno’s most recently installed cable car at Tagliede (suitable for intermediate & advanced skiers only). Access to the wide open
slopes of Livigno really doesn’t come easier than from the Miramonti. The spacious rooms of the Miramonti, in common with all hotels on YTC’s list, are fully equipped with modern conveniences while maintaining the traditional family atmosphere. Again, this season, each hotel on offer by YTC has been personally inspected and approved to ensure the highest possible standards and hospitality. To guarantee your first choice of hotel and to ensure that family groups are allocated in adjacent rooms, early booking is strongly recommended.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at Hotel Miramonti
The Hotel prices in this brochure (see page 20) are based on bed and breakfast basis at the superior 3 star Hotel Miramonti right in the centre of Livigno. A daily FREE 3-course evening meal is offered by the Hotel Miramonti. YTC has limited weekly allocation at the Hotel Miramonti so early booking is recommended to avail yourself of this offer. Once the allocation at the Hotel Miramonti is filled, YTC offers other hotels in the vicinity whose prices on Bed and Breakfast basis are similar (or more expensive) to those shown in column A of the prices page. These are subject to confirmation at the time of booking. No free meal is included in the price of these hotels.

Typical YTC Apartments
SKI AND SNOWBOARD 2014-2015
YTC APARTMENTS Many people choose apartment accommodation as their holiday option. YTC is pleased to be able to offer clients an excellent selection of selfcatering apartments in central locations. Each apartment has been selected to offer no compromise on comfort, quality or convenience. All apartments are just a short
walk from the nearest ski slopes. Although preparing meals in the apartment could be convenient, especially for families with children, there are also many restaurants in Livigno. These provide anything from simple dishes like pizza and pasta to elaborate meals at reasonable prices.
OTHER CHARGES FOR PERSONS STAYING IN APARTMENTS: €12 per person as a final cleaning charge. However guests are still expected to leave the apartments reasonably clean. There is a deposit of €50 payable in Malta which will only be refunded on the last day in Livigno once it is confirmed that the apartment has been left in the same good order as found on the first day. Linen and towels are provided but are not changed during the week. Changes can usually be provided at a charge.
At least once in your lifetime visit Livigno to get a taste of snow in this mountain village.
LIVIGNO FOR NON-SKIERS
Bormio Thermal Baths
View from jetbikes
While the main fun in a skiing holiday is to put on your skis and ski, one can also take a winter break and enjoy staying in Livigno without needing to ski. In this respect, Livigno offers several things to do within the village itself, and also excursions to nearby towns, which will enable you to spend a week in tranquility in a snow and mountain environment. And if a week may seem too long, YTC also offers 3 and 4-night short breaks. Livigno offers non-skiers enough to do in a week. For the relatively active, it is still possible to do all the activities Bernina Express
listed in pages 10, 11 and 12 – jet biking, tyre-sliding, sledging, quad bikes, horseriding. There are also several relaxation options. Sit in an open-air bar on the slopes, with a beer in hand watching the skiers ski down the slopes and simply while away an hour or two in relative silence, without a thought in the world – a far cry from our hectic daily life. For some tranquil time, at one with nature, it is possible to walk along the Livigno stream, which is 10 km long, enjoying the crisp mountain air. Make an afternoon out of the mid-day meal on one or two days, by taking a cable car ride to the top of the Carosello and Mottolino mountains, spending some time watching the skiers arrive and depart on their skis or snowboards, and having lunch while enjoying the beautiful panorama from the restaurant. In the morning or after lunch, one can stroll through the main road of
Livigno. Even without entering any shops, this could easily take up to two hours, just window shopping and watching the locals and tourists going about their business. Shopping itself could be a full time activity, particularly if bargain hunting. Though males are not usually keen shoppers, the electronic gadgets on offer, alcohol, watches, eyewear and other items are sufficient to generate interest, such that there is keen competition as to whether it is males or females who spend the most. One can spend some hours at Hotel Bivio or Hotel Helvetia’s Spa and Pools. A visit to the Latteria is also a must, where by means of audio equipment one can hear the commentary of how the dairy operates, observe the operation, and then sample the products manufactured there from local milk. It is also possible to go on two one-day and one half-day
excursions out of Livigno, visiting Bormio and St. Moritz which are approximately one hour away. In the half-day excursion to Bormio, one can explore the medieval village, with its quaint shops, and on a one-day excursion, visit the Bagni Vecchi, which date back to Roman times. Luxuriate in the natural hot spring waters, totally relaxing in any one of several treatment areas, swim outside in the hot pool cut into the mountainside, with your body immersed in the hot water and your head out in the mountain air. At St. Moritz, it is possible to observe this playground of the rich and famous. Walk around the centre of the village, observing the beautiful shops with the expensive price tags. Walk along part of the lake, admiring the beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountainside. Take a scenic train ride from St. Moritz to Morteratsch and back on the World Heritage Bernina Express. SO, IF YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR HOLIDAY IN THE SNOW, AND WISH TO VISIT LIVIGNO WITHOUT SKIING, YTC HAS PREPARED A LIST OF ACTIVITIES A ND EXCURSIONS WHICH YOU CAN FOLLOW. Since 2011, YTC Travel and Go Sicily Properties have built a reputation for offering Quality Holidays to Sicily. These range from very scenic and relaxing 1-day and 3-day exclusive group coach tours, where the individual traveller can join one of our published tours, to specific tailor-made events for clubs, associations, private companies, groups of friends, families and other groups, where we prepare and plan with you a tailor-made itinerary according to what is preferred. Our continued presence and many contacts in Sicily allow us to identify the best value-for-money hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, transport options and places to visit, thus ensuring that we provide you the highest quality at the right price. Our philosophy is that WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET, where the published price is actually the real price which you will pay. There are no hidden extras and we are not in the business of promoting a low “starting from” price which eventually will prove to be elusive, inexistent or very hard to eventually obtain. This has ensured that many of our clients, both individual as also corporate clients, have returned again and again.
TAILOR-MADE GROUP HOLIDAYS TO SICILY If you are a club, association, local council, bank branch, private company, a group of friends, a family or other group, we can organise a trip to Sicily exclusively for you. This may range from a day trip to an event where you will spend one or more overnights in Sicily. We can discuss your requirements and suggest to you what to do and where to go depending on your budget and your exigencies, such as wine tasting, quad biking, Land Rover safari, visit to nature reserves, rock concerts, classical music events, canoeing, para-diving, meals at agriturismo or mountain tavernas, arranging a football match and much much more. Please contact Mario Spiteri on 79742459 so as to be able to arrange for a no-obligation appointment.

“My passion for the Sicilian way of life; the countryside, the mountains, the rivers, the pristine sandy beaches, the arts, the architecture, the dolcevita, the culture and the food (it shows!) - has intensified over the past eight years, with Sicily becoming practically my second home. Over the past eight years, we at Go Sicily Properties have sold, developed and converted various properties in the beautiful Sicilian countryside, from old farmhouses to townhouses to new fully detached countryside villas and bungalows. We are proud to say that we have helped a number of our foreign clients, including many Maltese, acquire a place in the Sicilian sun where they can spend their weekends and their holidays. We are pleased to continue our partnership with YTC Travel in order to offer quality short stays in Sicily where we will help you experience the Sicily you never imagined” “TO HAVE SEEN ITALY WITHOUT HAVING SEEN SICILY IS NOT TO HAVE SEEN ITALY AT ALL, FOR SICILY IS THE CLUE TO EVERYTHING.” JOHANN WOLFGANG VON GOETHE (1749-1832)

SUMMER TOURS 2015
LIVIGNO IN SUMMER Every springtime as the snow melts away, Livigno bursts into colour and new life. The town, the lakeside, the gentle mountain walkways and the surrounding fields and meadows are all awash with the colours of a new season and Livigno extends its famous warm welcome to its summer visitors. There are few places more perfect than the long, verdant valley of Livigno to experience the serenity, nature, cool temperatures and magic of the mountains. Situated at 1,816m above sea level, surrounded on three sides by magnificent mountain peaks with a lake just minutes walk away from the town centre, Livigno offers a breath of fresh, clean and cool air which is definitely welcome following the heat of Malta’s summer months. It is not unusual to experience light snow falls on the mountain tops, a sight which never fails to impress. For several years YTC has been associated with Livigno and the summer tours to Livigno have proved extremely popular with families, couples (even honeymooners), and groups of friends. Children especially
enjoy the space and freedom of this Alpine village as they can play, cycle and enjoy the safe wide open meadows. Most of the village’s principle commercial area is completely car free so a stroll along the main street is a pleasure in itself, and visitors always wander around the town due to the fact that it is a duty-free zone... a special privilege going back many years. Guests can take advantage of mega bargains in the over 300 shops offering unbeatable prices on everything imaginable, from the latest fashion to high tech electronics, perfumes, wines and spirits and lots, lots more. From Livigno, YTC has a very interesting series of day trips and excursions to give a complete taste of the Alps in summer. Day visits to nearby Switzerland (border 20 minutes away from Livigno) and Austria (border 1 hour from Livigno), in addition to nearby Italian towns, will make your holiday one to remember with fondness. You will adore the Alps... you will love Livigno.

The balance for payment is due 6 weeks before departure or immediately if the booking is made within 6 weeks from date of departure. Payment by credit card is not accepted. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES It is your responsibility to ensure that you and those for whom you are booking are in possession of valid passports and any appropriate visas. Be sure to check passport and visa requirements with us well in advance particularly if you are a non-Maltese
passport holder. You are responsible for any charges, fines etc. that may be levied by authorities in Malta or overseas for non-compliance with any regulations in this area and any such amounts will be recharged to you. Airline regulations state that women 28 weeks or more into pregnancy at the time of return travel must have a medical certificate of fitness to travel. You must be responsible for your behaviour and the behaviour of your party. We can refuse to continue dealing with you if your behaviour is, in our opinion, or in the opinion of the airline pilot, hotelier, or other person in authority, disruptive, dangerous, or annoying to the other people or property. We will not pay any refund of any cost incurred by you if your behaviour is unacceptable even if this means you are not allowed to board your outward flight, train or bus. It is your responsibility to ensure that you carry a European Health Insurance card for travel within EU countries. In your best interest and ultimately to be prepared for any eventuality, it is compulsory when travelling with YTC, for you to have a holiday insurance, with winter sports cover where applicable. This insurance policy is to be carried with you at all times during your holiday. We offer Gasan Mamo standard insurance cover, with the adverse weather conditions extension, as one of the options when booking a holiday with us. Alternatively you can arrange a policy yourself giving comparable or better cover under all sections. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT If you have a problem or cause for complaint whilst on holiday, you must immediately bring it to the attention of either the tour-leader, organiser, representative, hotel or to YTC, who will in turn do their best to investigate and resolve the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action whilst on holiday and then to make a verbal or written complaint upon return. For this reason your complaint will not be entertained, and no liability whatsoever will be accepted by us if we do not receive a verbal or written complaint within 24 hours of any problem arising. We investigate all genuine complaints, however any complaints considered frivolous will not be entertained. MISCELLANEOUS We can in no way be held responsible for any incident, injury, delay, irregularity or damage to personal effects, baggage or passengers. We accept no responsibility for losses or additional irregularities caused by subcontracted parties such as airlines, hotels coaches or mini-vans etc.
