Design Process
The logo I designed seen above, has taken inspiration from the aesthetic of the original Harry Ramsdens logo (seen on board 2 topleft) it has also incorporated the circular design seen in the image next to this. Doing this has created the modern adaptation that I set out to achieve.
The colour scheme is also a modern adaptation of the original colours found in Harry Ramsdens, Overall I’m very happy with the logo, I feel it pays tribute to Great Britain while also celebrating Harry Ramsdens past. However it has also been re-invented to create the following.

Inspiration
Harry Ramsdens is world famous, and it didn’t get there with having shoddy branding. With this in mind, my concept was to reinvigorate the brand and give it new strength to compete in a contemporary environment
Given the fact that HR originated in the UK, it was really mandatory that the brand emulated the Great British Fish & Chips experience.

Digital Designs
The following attributes will be decorating the inside of the restaurant. The photograph in the top-right display a vintage photograph depicting a happy family eating fish & chips at their local seaside. I think it would be an original idea to have an array of these vintage photographs stuck all on the roof of the restaurant for customers to look up at while they eat. If I’d of had more time I would of completed this.
For my portfolio I’ll be making sure this project is fully refined because I feel the logo is strong enough to make this brief strong. Following crit feedback, I was told that the chip may look abit ‘cheeky’ therefore I decided to discard of this.

Deliverables
The wooden cut outs of the logo provide both a circular design and a horizontal design. I’ve thought about their applications and with some refining the horizontal wood cut, could of been used as a chip fork and the circular could be used as a drinks coaster.
Depending on what you order, your food can either be boxed or wrapped to go. On the bag-to-go, the handles are made from rope, I really thought this was reminiscent of the sea side as it’s what boats are tied to harbours with.

Web Prescence
Homepage - The original website is flooded with links and sub-pages which jeopardize the efficiency of the functionality. To solve this issue, I’ve designed a scamp which demonstrates that all of the key information will be accessed in a simple slide motion.
To keep track of what page the user is on, there is a fast track button, the user can click if they need to locate a particular page. The main logo will stay stationary as the pages slide left & right. The bottom-right design shows the sub-page that will appear when you type your postcode in the websites search bar to locate your nearest HR restaurant.
