Theseus parents Theseus mother’s name was Aethra, his father’s was Pittheus. Theseus father was the ruler of Athens. Theseus thought his father was a god, but then he found out he wasn’t. Theseus mother was Princess Aethra. Later on, Theseus was raised by his mother and grandfather.
Theseus becoming a hero Theseus became a hero when his father lifted a boulder, to put an object under it. Aethra took Theseus to the boulder that his father lifted to see if he could.
