Dear Friends and Cattle Enthusiasts... My family and I would love to invite you to our 2nd annual Dream Girls sale. I really thought last year’s sale was quite an undertaking, but this one has not been any easier. In the end, it is worth it. Especially when you get up every morning and see the stock mature into what they have become. To give you a little background on Martin Livestock, we farm about 5,000 acres and run 200 cows. We have not been in the cow business long but have worked very hard to buy the best that we could afford. We try year after year to attain the very best cow herd to get us at the top of the game. We have learned an immense amount and made our fair share of mistakes. We have however, made good choices. It is the most challenging task that I have ever taken on, but one that has been very rewarding. My family - Mandy, DJ, Hanna, and I could not do any of this without a lot of high quality help. We have recently hired Jeff “CB” Boland as our herdsman. He is a very valuable asset to our operation. Israel Henry is my right hand man. He is unbelievable help and I could not do what I do without someone like him. Ashley Adams takes care of the show barn and all of the babies that come in. She does an outstanding job. A special thank you to everyone who has helped us out. To
name a few: Ross Lentman, Dave Guyer, Tom Stewart, Cory White, Tim Vawter, Brad Dykstra, Becky Phlipot, and Brooks Wilson. Now let’s talk cattle…I thought that our set last year was going to be hard to match but we have done it. This set is bred to a “T” and is unreal. They just get better every day. I am very excited and honored to offer you this set of cattle. These are the kind we believe make you the most money down the road. There is something for everyone in this sale!! The open heifers are quite a bit stouter than last year and we are still offering our incentive program. A lot of the bred heifers are due to calve to Grizzly. We were fortunate enough to buy 25% of what we think is a great one. We also have invested in bulls that we think will take our operation to the next levelDriver, Grizzly, Bombshell and Immortal. By the way, the Immortal females are going to make great cows. Wait until you see this set of Immortal breds. I have been blessed with - A great wife, Mandy, who has stood beside me for 20 years. Thank you and I love you. My kids, DJ & Hanna, you two have worked very hard and I appreciate that and I love you. I wish you all the best in all of your endeavors. To my Mom & Dad, the trust and love you have always given to us is priceless. You have always been there for us and we love you and thank you.
I would also like to extend a special “Thank You” to Kevin Mears with Stock Option Marketing. This is his second year with us as our sales manager and we appreciate everything he does for us (and puts up with). Thank you to our sales consultants Brent Tolle, Brad Hanewich, Dave Guyer, Nick Reimann, Wyatt Baker, and Joe Beckett. Well, that is it for me. We look forward to seeing you the weekend of November 28th. Be sure to come by Saturday evening for a social gathering at the farm. Again, thank you for your interest and if there is anything we can assist you with, questions, or just to talk cattle, please feel free to call anytime. Thank you,
Jimmy Martin

Dear Friends and Cattle Enthusiasts... I don’t know how many folks read these sale letters, but for those of you who do, I really want to drive home the point that the 2010 Dream Girls offering is deep, diverse and spot on for the best in composite show cattle production.
a trustworthy manner? The one constant with Martin Livestock is how they wish to do business. Straight UP. They will be strong players in this game for a very long time.
The bred heifers have been strongly sifted down to 80 lots from 165 head to ensure only the best. They have been preg checked twice and have not run with a clean up bull, so you can buy with confidence knowing they will calve to the bull listed! The offering is represented by industry leading sires that are proven and practical for your chosen path. Please feel free to visit with me about how to best implement these genetics in your program to get the most out of their pedigrees. With careful planning, adequate forethought and sound breeding decisions, these females have amazing earning potential.
Study the sale book and come to Bargersville with a plan for your future. I personally saw several of the bred heifers purchased here last year go out and pay for themselves with their first natural calf. The opens are fancy and represent something for everyone in terms of pedigree. This year I have traveled well over 40,000 miles looking at some of the best stock in the country, and this set of bred females and home raised heifer calves are on top of the list.
Jimmy Martin saw Grizzly calves last year and loved them. He heard of how easy they came, and he loved that. The first time he met Nick Reimann, it wasn’t ten minutes into the conversation and he had bought a piece of the bull. This sale features 56 head of bred heifers bred to Grizzly, who has become very popular for not only his ease of calving, but for the high quality of his calves. Many believe that the success and longevity of a program comes with its ability to produce champions or “changer” genetics. True, this does play a role in a customer’s process of selecting a seedstock supplier. However, ultimately a program’s success, I believe, is determinate on how that program treats their customers. Do they treat people fairly? With honestly and integrity? Do they represent their cattle in
