WELCOME | BPF A few words about this years offering, On behalf of the entire crew at Bush Park Farm we thank you for taking the time to view this years offering and invite you to join us in Mitchell, South Dakota on October 26th. I must say we are all very excited about the potential this set of heifers offers to garner championships on all levels of competition.

The goal of just about every program that is actively involved in showing is to have one of their animals named champion at a show of national importance, its hard to do and many progressive programs are lucky to win just one every few years. Bushy Park Farm has been blessed to not only to have one, but multiple national champions each of the last few years. By saying that we know we are tempting fate but we can honestly say we have never started a better set of heifer calves than we have this year!

Bushy Park Farm is known for our commitment to the Maine-Anjou breed and our program is one of the elite of the breed, however we have had great success in the Hereford and Simmental breeds the last few years and think that this set of Herefords is far and away surpasses the past few years. The crew at the ranch is especially excited about the strides we’ve made with our Simmentals and are excited for you to evaluate them sale day.

Last year we were so pleased that our cattle were well accepted and had a record breaking sale, but we want to stress that every year cattle sell in all price ranges and to fit just about every budget.

Throughout the year we get calls from folks having success with cattle purchased many times way below the sale average.

We will be using the buyer number system at this auction. You will have to register with the clerks prior to the bidding. Terms will be cash or good check with proper ID. All cattle are to be paid for immediately following the sale and are not to be loaded until settlement has been made. All animals sell to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any disputes and his decision will be final.

Genetic Material- Bushy Park Farms reserves the right to collect genetic material (DNA) for cloning purposes on all animals sold. This right transfers with the ownership of the animal for the life of the animal.

Retained flushes- Bushy Park Farms reserves the rights to one successful flush or may partner with the buyer on two, at the buyers convenience.

Semen Rights- Bushy Park Farm keeps a semen interest on bulls sold to utilize for in-herd use only.

Breeding guarantee- All animals offered for sale are guaranteed in accordance with the recommend terms set forth by the applicable breed association.

EPDs- To our knowledge the EPDs stated are as accurate as possible. However, they are not guaranteed.

Trucking- Bushy Park Farms and sale management will be happy to assist customers with trucking arrangements. We will group cattle and get them headed in your direction at a reasonable rate, but neither Bushy Park Farm nor sale management assumes any responsibility for the pricing of trucking or the collection of trucking fees.

Health- As calves, all cattle were vaccinated and booster shots were giving in the fall for IBR, BVD, P13, BRSV, 7-Way Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Vitamin A, D, & E, and have been poured with Ivomec. All animals will be accompanied by an interstate health certificate. Insurance information will be available sale day.

This heifer’s sire is a Sooner son whom is out of the famous Bleeding Purple heifer successfully campaigned by the Vickland Family a few years back we call Main-Line. We are beyond excited about the job Main-Line did for us this calf crop. This heifers dam is a really good Irish Whiskey cow. Here again is another one whom has quality genetics lining both sides of her pedigree. This female is sound, feminine, big bodied and has an awesome silhouette! We had a great amount of success with our I-80 calves this year and this heifer is a prime example why! Mercedes Benz’s popularity continues to increase every year as more and more females enter production and it’s because he makes them like this! Lot 8 is the definition of cow. Extremely smooth and feminine fronted, she has that awesome maternal shape to her rib and is as sound as what you can make one. Every once in awhile an animal that is truly special comes along and you know it when you see it! Ladies and gentlemen, this heifer is the one! This dual registered MaineTainer and Chi, is not only out of the maternal legend Irish Whiskey but a TH free Heat Wave x Who Made Who cow. Phenotypically, this heifer is flat great livestock! We could write a book on all of her incredible pieces, but this is one you have to see for yourself to truly appreciate her!

There has only been one other animal cross our path that makes us as excited as this one does‌ Her name was Anita Loan and she went on to have one of the most successful show careers in history for Mason Walker! This one is worth the drive to South Dakota!
