“Success, It’s the Journey……not the destination…” I believe it was someone speaking at a FFA event back in high cchool when I heard those words. That phrase has stuck with me over the last twenty plus years…that we need to remember to enjoy the time we are blessed with here on earth. We to appreciate the life long friendships developed in the Jr. Livestock Show Programs, the long hours spent in the truck driving to the stock show with our family, a handshake or the pat on the back for a job well done from a friend and a competitor after the dust settles and the show. Win or lose at the end of the day, it’s about spending time with good people, living and loving our way of life. Keeping score is important; it’s our competitive nature and we are wired to win, to achieve success. We want recognized for it; many have trophy walls or rooms to show off their accomplishments. This is where I would normally go on and on about how many National Show and State Fair champions have originated here or have been derived from cattle bred and purchased from Bushy Park Farms. However I am going to take just a moment to ask you to stop and take a moment to appreciate those in your lives who make the journey so enjoyable… South Dakota and the cattle industry lost some great young men this spring that certainly made the Journey more enjoyable. Over the last five years that I have worked as the marketing agent for Bushy Park Farms one of my favorite folks to visit with about the offering was Nick Reimann, being totally honest that young man knew way more than me, often times I probably learned more from him than he ever did from me. He was a great customer and friend to us at BPF and he and the other young men all outstanding young men whose journey was cut to short. With that said, on behalf of the entire crew at Bush Park Farm we would like to say a humble thank you to all of our past customers, fellow breeders and good friends who have made our journey so enjoyable. I walked though the heifer calves just a few days before this catalog went to press and WOW its really incredible. We have heard all fall that families and traders can‘t find elite breeding heifers… That maybe true as a whole out in the country for the folks breeding club calves, but there is a program at BPF built off of great cow families who were built and bred for the last ten years to make great maternal show females. Ones that can win on the Tanbark and work in the donor pen! With each and every Maine-Anjou and MaineTainer lot being nominated you the new owner have a chance to participate in an exclusive event that has paid out over $125,000. You as a new owner of a Bushy Park female will have opportunity to carry on you nomination portion of the Shoot Out and participate in the event that is annually held in conjunction with our National Junior Show. The 2015 event will be held the week of June 25th in Springfield, Illinois.

We will be using the buyer number system at this auction. You will have to register with the clerks prior to the bidding. Terms will be cash or good check with proper ID. All cattle are to be paid for immediately following the sale and are not to be loaded until settlement has been made. All animals sell to the highest bidder. Genetic Material- Bushy Park Farms reserves the right to collect genetic material (DNA) for cloning purposes on all animals sold. This right transfers with the ownership of the animal for the life of the animal.
