2424 stood out in a pen of outstanding heifers this year at our place. Lots of interest from visitors, but we had committed her to the Springtime Revival!

When you stand behind this deep red heifer, she is smooth with tremendous width and power, and yet she is still feminine.

This March yearling (on sale day!) will be fun to mate. We can’t wait to see her as a mature cow. We’ll be as proud as you are of the calves she produces!

Notes on Donor Dam KSS Aviator’s Max Rosa Ace 288 ET

MaxRosa

We hesitate to give up this stylish Currency x Max Rosa 288 daughter! 2422 has a feminine look with a wide top, length and extension. She’s loaded with impact-making potential: CYT Max Rosa 9111 ET is her maternal great granddam, Aviator is her maternal grandsire, and Currency’s influence doesn’t have to be imagined – you can SEE it on the surface! Roan Deluxe!

When we saw the first calves of the Evolution x 288 mating back in 2018 we decided to keep it going. We’ve flushed 288 to Evolution four times, producing 42 recorded calves to date, including the outstanding full sisters Lots 2A, 2B and 2C.

We can say for sure that Evolution x 288 offspring have been consistently successful in the show ring, as well as maternally, with their eye catching color patterns, and flex in stride, along with angle and bone that blend together nicely. The females have made their mark in their show careers (some nationally) and in production, and there are five herd sire brothers currently in use.

We are now breeding the next generations of the 288 family. Lot 1 is the first 288 granddaughter – the best Shorthorn female we’ve ever produced! The Lot 3 Currency daughter held the favorable traits of 288 tight. Plus, she’ll carry Currency’s maternal influence forever – see his dam on page 51!

If Sinful Rose 2420 comes along by June like I believe she will, can you imagine what she will look like in November…WOW! I can’t wait to see whose show barn she ends up in! HAMMER

At Denver 2020 we were stalled across from the great NAILE Grand Champion, SH Sinful Rose 808 (AKA “Halsey”). The guys on my crew asked, “Why don’t you have females like HER for us to work on?” I thought, good question! So, we bought the next best thing: Sinful Rose 2105, the FULL SISTER to Halsey!

Mattis 530 and her sister Mirage were the hottest females going in the early years of the Revival Sales! Both are daughters of the original Ka’Ba Rose T90 and there are multiple “greatest cow families” built from their genetics. (Research your old Revival catalogs!)

The young female Mattis 108 is a superb new generation of this branch of the Rose T90 line. Byland breeding on the topside makes Mattis 108 a bona fide herd builder.

This beautiful female has been developed to work in a progressive program and she’ll pay her way every day of her life. Her Currency son at side proves that. This son of the Show Bull of the Year is a big boost in VALUE!

When Steve and I decided last October that LCCC and S-Co would partner to purchase Lily’s Dream 7G (Lot 1 of the sale celebrating Hill Haven Shorthorns’ 25th Anniversary), we knew we would be getting a darn good cow. After she won Grand Champion of the 2024 Agribition in November and later was selected 2024 “Miss World” of the Champion of the World competition, it was evident that we got a GREAT COW!

Lily now resides here in Minnesota and she stands out regardless of her breed or color. (It seems fitting that this great female was developed in Canada and then got traded to the States! That’s a hockey reference for our Southern friends.) This female is flawless in her structural design, heavily muscled, and still incredibly feminine. She is the type that can be mated for AI bulls and breeding females, and certainly, she’ll make show contenders (like herself) that will be in the hunt for Top 5. Whichever segment you choose to breed for, you cannot go wrong! Red Knight and Evolution are the two most proven mating options. Semen from these two sires sells at the top range of Shorthorn genetics. Payweight and Cinch are starting to make waves as young sires in the show world, but their roots are in the production side of Shorthorns. All four choices are equally unique options that will make for a one of a kind genetic package when mated to Lily. BTW, “Made to Order” means we will provide the semen from your choice of these four bulls, and pay all the flush costs! (Somebody should turn on that blue light!)

We are planning to display Lily at the Revival Sale on September 27. Snap up these “Made to Order “ heifer embryos NOW. After she makes her American debut in Michigan the “exchange rate” on the VALUE of her genetics is gonna increase!

We purchased a flush from the great Canadian-bred female Glamorous Annie 102G and the Lot 19 heifer calf by Lookout is her first offspring born in the U.S. Annie descends from the prolific Breathless and Breathtaker females featured in past Revival Sales.

Glamorous Annie earned Senior Champion honors with a bull calf at side at the 2022 Toronto Royal. In 2024, her daughter Glamorous Jazzy claimed the same award as well as Grand Champion.

Lookout was 2022 NAILE Supreme Champion and he’s making his mark with his first calves – he sired four Division winners at KC, Louisville and OKC. This tremendous Annie heifer calf is his latest great one!

Shorthorn friends! Here is a rare OPPORTUNITY to access new and exciting genetics!

When we had an opportunity to purchase the Lot 23 donor we took advantage of it! Crystals Swan 015, exhibited by Houston Ferree, is one of the most dominant show heifers in recent memory. She is as close to perfect as a female can be. I have never seen one with so much depth of body and spring of rib, and a fresh, feminine show heifer look.

Study the three show photos. Crystal Swan 2309 is a mirror image of her dam! And there’s one more important point to consider – the shot of Aviator on her topside. The influence of the cow maker Aviator makes 2309 an extra special POWER COW! These are the first embryos from 2309 to be offered and YOU get to choose the sire!

This “Made to Order” Embryo Package is certainly one heck of an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the most highly desired genetics the Shorthorn breed has to offer. The sire selections are second to none. Any one of the four will work on this extremely unique and high quality donor. Get on board with the best!

No matter what angle you look at this broody heifer, it ALL fits together!

This beautiful, roan 1872 daughter, with her growth, power and balance is an excellent blend of her parents. Her dam, a Hot Commodity daughter, is a maternal sibling to KSS Fireball Augusta Pride 2122, purchased by

Cornerstone Farms in the 2023 Springtime Revival for $26,000. Augusta Pride 350 is one of our top cows, clean-fronted with a barrel that is matched by few. Lot 24 is very tame, and an easy keeper with some pretty good numbers. She has a bright future in the show ring or your breeding program.

Notes on KSS Keystone’s Augusta Pride Family *

Augusta Pride

Our Augusta Pride cow family started with purchased embryos that were bred by Fred Ripberger. Great front-ends have consistently carried through to the progeny of all of our Augusta Pride cows, all retaining a quality udder, and teat size and shape. Our 278 donor (pictured on page 34) is nearing 10 years old and shows no sign of slowing down at all. She still has a great udder and teat size, and has never had any foot or health problems. 278 is the daughter of SULL Augusta Pride 9014 ET, a donor in the Bollum and Ripberger programs.

Lot 35 is a beautiful, roan Long Look daughter out of our Kendra cow family. Note that grandsires WHR Sonny and Mr Gus 80C are anchoring the bottomside of this pedigree. Her dam is one of the longest-bodied cows we have and that trait “extends” throughout this cow family. Kendra 2438 is pleasing to the eye, solid footed and dark-hoofed.

With mass, hoof shape, good angles, this broody female should be fun to make calves with. Sonygirl 2431 can be mated in so many different ways!

Sired by 1872, with tremendous growth for her age, she has a lot of body, power and still remains feminine with weaning, yearling and carcass numbers that tell the rest of the story.

Sonygirl 2431’s markings and numbers are a SENSATIONAL reflection of the INFLUENCE of her SIRE!

The first calf out of Hector’s full sister is totally unique. 401K will make an impact on any herd! Elvira 14K is currently in our first string of new donors. Her full sister was selected 3rd Best Overall at the 2024 Palermo Show. Two full brothers are working at Cabaña Santa Cecilia. Currency seems to have made a “magic cross” with these Argentine genetics. The strength of his dam’s consistent sire-producing supremacy is coming thru on the topside of this big-time herd sire! The maternal brother to Equator, Currency and Universal, Safety Deposit provides yet another generation of PROOF that Lilac 1877 ranks high as a PREMIER PRODUCER of BULL POWER on the Shorthorn scene today!

Direct Deposit is really making a splash and you’ll observe his influence in his son, Lot 39, and four daughters offered on March 29.

I think this guy will show and hold his own in Louisville in the fall. He’s really good in his structure and has a super front end.

Think about this.

Equator, Currency, Universal and Safety Deposit are Lilac 1877’s NATURAL CALVES.

SHE RAISED ‘EM!

LOT 40A

It’s a “rookie mistake” to discount this OUTSTANDING COW/CALF PAIR just because they are selling way at the BACK of the SALE.

Victoria’s Secret

Victoria’s Secret has produced five natural calves, the first was All Star, featured on page 52, shown by Drake Penrod. The two daughters pictured are working in herds located in the Midwest and the Far West. This Evolution x Victoria female is the REAL DEAL!

This Direct Deposit heifer calf is so good! The only reason we are parting with her is because we want to show our Direct Deposit semen customers what a great purchase they made. When you see Lot 40A you’ll start dreaming about the impact he’s gonna make in your herd. And, you’re gonna want to own this PAIR!

One more thing, Victoria Secret 2440 has a perfect disposition for a young showman. This cow/calf pair would make a great investment in the future of YOUR favorite Shorthorn Junior!

Note that Direct Deposit conventional semen will be offered in the Sale Day Special. Heifer semen sells as Lot 45A and 45B. What you SEE is what you’ll GET!

Serious breeders are looking for INVESTMENT FEMALES these days. We decided to offer this PAIR in the Springtime sale to satisfy that DESIRE.

Sale Management

Steve and Julie French, Little Cedar Cattle Company 1264 Van Dyke Road, Beaverton, Michigan 48612

REVIVAL DOCUMENTATION OF TERMS • For lots in which future fulfillment is a factor (ie. retained rights and retained percentage ownership), the Revival prepares a document that outlines the original sale terms and is retained on file in case of a dispute.

REVIVAL EMBRYO PACKAGE TERMS

• If implanted by a certified embryologist, all embryo lots are guaranteed to produce at least one pregnancy, or one replacement embryo will be provided. Embryos must be implanted, and replacement claim made, within a calendar year from purchase date. Complete settlement must be made in order for embryos to be released. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Buyer must contact the consignor directly within 30 days of the sale to make embryo shipping arrangements. Consignors cannot be expected to store embryos for you longer than 30 days unless you have personally made arrangements with them to do so.

PREGNANCY INSURANCE

• The Revival strongly encourages buyers of pregnancy lots to invest in pregnancy insurance. The policy covers a live birth and the first 49 days of life at the cost of 13% of the purchase price. For heifer pregnancy insurance contact Jeanne Conover, Conover Insurance Services, at 515-491-1335 by April 7, 2025.

RETAINED FLUSH RIGHTS

• Sellers who have retained the right to flush a specific female are responsible for all expenses and the coordination of services (timing and location) at the buyer’s convenience. It is not unusual to conduct multiple ET sessions (conventional or IVF) to achieve the minimum quantity of embryos desired.

DNA GENOTYPING & GENETIC TESTING

• A DNA genotype is utilized in establishing parentage, determining the presence of a genetic condition, and to produce genomically enhanced EPDs (GE-EPDs). Animals do not have to be DNA genotyped, or free of a genetic condition, to be registered. However, if an animal becomes an A.I. sire or donor dam all required genetic testing must be completed and a DNA record must be on file with ASA prior to registering any progeny. Buyers are urged to consult the association website for the most up-to-date test results for all genetic conditions.
