THE LOGO The new logo incorporates a new name, colour scheme and ident. The logo itself is made up of 16 circles rotated around a single anchor. This is what creates the unique Kaleidoscope effect. This is then coloured in a gradient of colours, giving it an almost 3D illusion effect. It also works with the typography..

SPACING A

B

When using the logo, the rule of spacing must be applied at all times, For the height of A and the width of B, no other information or objects should enter this space and must be kept empty. The unit of measurement is determined by the 2nd blue segment of the logo itself. This gives the logo its own space and doesn’t distract from it

COLOUR BACKGROUNDS When using the logo with coloured backrounds, you must take into account the darkness of the colour. If they are black or white, the colour in the type is allowed however the black/white text must be opposite to the background. When colours, use black text throughout on light colours and white text on dark colours. This help with clarity and lets the logo stand out.

TYPOGRAPHY The museum uses 2 different fonts: 176MKSDAL and Century Gothic. The majority of the time, 176MKSDAL will be used as it is a modern type and complements the museum. For corporate (such as body text on letters and envelopes), Century Gothic shall be used as it is a bold and important type.

COLOURS The colours for the museum are bright, fun and patriotic. The blues represent the country’s colours whilst the purple represents the thistle, the national flower. The four blues used, getting lighter as they get close to the center are made up of 1 pantone colour at different strenghts. The dark purple helps break up the blues and adds to the illusion.

WEBSITE The website keeps with the simplistic and fun style which the museum holds. The pages are bright and fun, inviting visitors to have a look around. It is easy to navigate and find what the customer is looking for. The logo is a main aspect, always held in the top left corner and never changed. The rest of the pages must be kept with the purple and blue colour theme. The text must be legible, using purple text on blue backgrounds and white on purple. Animations must also follow and circular code, fitting with the style of the website.
