Why Choose Steppes Travel
Steppes Tailor-made
In the Company of Experts Our long association and friendship with the British Museum, academic institutions and wildlife conservation charities worldwide means we have an enviable pool of expertise from which to choose our tour lecturers and expert guides. We carefully select our leaders based on their expertise, unparalleled knowledge, companionship and general affability. While travelling in the company of these experts quite often their influence can facilitate private access to sites and museums not typically open to the public.
Tailor-made For those travellers who wish to take the opportunity to extend their tour and explore more, we can easily arrange this for you, on a tailor-made basis. Our detailed country knowledge and local contacts means we can provide extension suggestions and seamlessly add additional arrangements to your itinerary.
Small is Beautiful Our average group size is typically 8 – 10 people, far smaller than the larger group tours typically offered by our competitors, a factor which many of our clients appreciate. Travelling as part of a smaller group provides a more intimate, personalised and relaxed atmosphere, while making the logistics of visits to sites and museums that much easier. 24 hour Emergency Service We do not believe in answer machines so 24 hours a day, 365 days a year your call will be answered by a person who can connect you to one of our team in case of emergency. Financial Protection Steppes Travel is a fully bonded tour operator (ATOL 6945) that complies with the Civil Aviation Authority bonding ensuring that your booking is fully protected. Many of the flights and flight inclusive holidays in this brochure are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL certificate then the booking will not be protected by ATOL. If you do receive an ATOL certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. Please see our booking conditions for information, or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate. If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme.
