COVID-19 State of the nation What is the current state of the virus in country? Are there new entry requirements? Do travel restrictions still apply? Should clients wear masks and/or gloves? Is social distancing still imposed by local authorities? What are respective governments predicting will be the likely prognosis of C-19 over the next 3 months (or at the time of client’s arrival)?

What will happen in country On arrival - medical questionnaire? Temperature checks? C-19 testing? Will clients need to check-in to a clinic for further tests during their stay? What are the consequences of clients being diagnosed with C-19 when in country? Immediate hospitalisation – if so, what standard of health care is available in country? Do hospitals have available ventilators? What are the consequences of clients coming into contact with somebody diagnosed with C-19 when in country? Quarantine – if so, what provision is made for quarantine - government establishment? Will clients be tested on departure?

Flying: What steps are the airlines taking? Enhanced cabin cleaning prior to your flight HEPA filters On the ground: check-in and your experience at the airport Crew measures: health checks, wearing of masks and gloves Passenger procedures: temperature checks, wearing of masks On board experience: meals and use of lavatories

Medical provisions
What contingency plans will be implemented should clients fall ill? On each day of the itinerary, where is the nearest hospital? Where is the nearest hospital with a ventilator? What standard of health care is available in country? Air ambulance?

Hotels and cruise ships What are hotels/cruise ships doing to mitigate the risk of spreading Coronavirus? Reduced capacity? Revised cleaning regimes? Hand sanitisers made available throughout? Social distancing in bars and restaurants? Staff wearing gloves/masks? Revised check-in (self service)? Have staff been trained on implementation of new regimes. (In the future) if testing exists, then do hotel/ship staff have a clean bill of health?

Our Partners Guides, meet and greet and drivers (In the future) if testing exists, then do DMC staff have a clean bill of health? If not then will staff be wearing masks/gloves? Is it possible to maintain 2 metres distance between staff and clients? Can headphones and microphones be used by guides to maintain 2 metres distance between guide and clients? Have staff been trained on the implementation of new regimes.

Visiting restaurants, museums and other public sites Do the public sites you work with have a policy in place to mitigate the risk of spreading Coronavirus? Revised cleaning regimes? Hand sanitisers made available in public places? Social distancing in bars and restaurants? Staff wearing gloves/masks? Do museums and public sites have managed visiting where only a limited number of people are allowed entry at one time and visitors must follow a set route around the site? Are there some attractions that are no longer appropriate to visit – e.g. markets where social distancing is impossible.

Transport PUBLIC TRANSPORT If using transport used by other travellers – flight, train or bus, what measures are being taken to help mitigate the spread of C-19. E.g. Clients given masks/gloves? Can clients be given their own carriage? Are middle seats being left empty?
PRIVATE TRANSPORT If a group trip, then is it possible to use a bigger vehicle to give clients more space to help with social distancing? If a private trip, then is it possible to use a bigger vehicle to maintain distance between the driver and the clients? Is it possible to separate driver from clients using perspex barrier (like a taxi-cab)? Hand sanitisers made available in vehicles?
